We loved our stay! The apartment was clean and spacious and central to everything! We were able to walk to most of the major sites within 20 minutes. Our host was always helpful and quick to respond with suggestions and to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Three reasons why we were dissatisfied with this apartment:
1. The person who was supposed to let us in was almost an hour late from the agreed time.
2. When we were finally let in, the apartment was still not ready and the cleaner was working, which caused us significant discomfort after already waiting almost an hour outside with three small children.
3. During that hour of waiting, no one communicated with us — they didn’t answer calls or reply to messages.

We had a great stay at Roque's place! Booked it on a whim and were pleasantly surprised to find we were within walking distance of many of the places we wanted to see during our two day stay! Especially Cava Baja!

We had a (very) early flight into Madrid and Roque accommodated us with an early check in.

Having a few supplies, water, wine, cheesecake & milk in the fridge were greatly appreciated!

Make sure to check out his wine shop just around the corner, he is very knowledgeable and great to actually get to meet your host!

5⭐! We will be back to Madrid and will look to stay here again if available!

**as mentioned in some reviews, the shower does have a loud high pitched squeal that comes from the valve on the left side. We found if you adjusted it just right it would go away.

We loved our stay in Madrid! The place was a 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor, where there were plenty of restaurants. Not a bad walk to Gran Via and Puerta del Sol for shopping, and an easy walk to Palacio. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed and host was super responsive. Would highly recommend!
