We'll give you some history of the farm and the area, and guide your exploration of our 3 orchards to learn about the ethnobotany and horticulture of Hawai‘i's unique fruit trees and harvest some fruits in season. Get ready to marvel at our vanilla plants and smell the aroma of our vanilla beans. You'll even get to help feed our hilarious chickens, and collect their rainbow-colored eggs. Then it's time for our picnic! We'll relax on the lawn or at the picnic table overlooking the gorgeous orchid-filled gardens while you eat your fill of farm-grown exotic tropical fruit and nuts - the freshest, most delicious, and perfectly in season delicacies. We'll teach you how to use our coconut husker to open up a coconut. Nothing store-bought can compare to the amazing flavor of coconut water and meat from a just-picked nut. You'll even use our special nutcracker to experience the rich flavor of our macadamia nuts. Other things to note Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. We have a composting toilet available at the farm. Starbucks or McDonalds in Haleiwa also have public restrooms. You may want to bring bug spray and water bottle.

After that we will get in the water and enjoy catching many waves as you improve your skills. It is also highly likely we will see many Hawaiian sea turtles throughout the lesson. Begin your session with a brief lesson on land, then it's paddling time! Join a certified lifeguard, trained stand up paddle instructor on an experience you are guaranteed to love. Paddle across a beautiful calm bay and up a lush river, home of the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle. These amazing creatures are very passive, and also very big (up to 500 lbs!) Though we cannot guarantee sightings, it is very common to see them. Your friendly instructor will teach you stand up paddling techniques and skills as you travel along, so you can paddle like a pro! This beginner lei making experience begins on the beach. Watch the waves, surfers, and rainbows as you create a beautiful flower lei. The lei will be created from: plumeria, puakenikeni, stephanotis, tiare, bougainvilla, pikake, orchid, crown flower, tuberose, lantern ilima, depending upon what flowers are in season. Most flowers are unique to Hawaii and are harvested the night before or the morning of your class. The lei will be created using the Kui(piercing) method. You can choose to make a traditional neck Lei or a Lei Po'o/flower crown. There is also a Hili style Lei Po'o/Flower Crown class available(advanced lei making). Other things to note: We are slightly flexible with the schedule, so let us know if different times work better for you. Class is on the beach so please bring your own beach towels or chairs.

Aloha, class is conducted on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu, Sunset Beach. You will create a one of a kind Tahitian pearl necklace, aka Surfer Pearl necklace. Learn about the history of pearls in Hawaii especially Wai Momi, or Pearl Harbor. Students will be able to choose their own genuine Tahitian pearl and be taught how to knot the leather into an adjustable necklace that you can wear in the ocean, surfing, swimming, etc. with no worries.

Guests will learn how to create their own floral lei po’o, take a guided tour of the farm, and sample products grown and produced by the farmers on the property. A lei po’o is a floral headpiece that wraps around the head and are worn for many celebrations including birthdays and graduations. Each person will receive a kit with enough flowers and material to create a lei po'o with flowers from our flower farm. Please reach out for special booking instructions if you are interested in having younger children take the class, there are ways to make the lesson age accessible.

We'll begin at Blue Planet Hale’iwa, where everyone will meet Phoenix, our lead SUPDog! She's a lovely four-year-old Lab who loves people and swimming. We'll do a quick stand-up paddleboard training, covering the basics of paddling: Equipment, Balance, How to Paddle, Conditions, and Safety. Then we'll head out on the water. The Haleiwa River on the North Shore has glassy smooth water, perfect for entry-level stand up paddling. Phoenix and her friends will hop on everyone's board, joining them for photos during their unique and entertaining paddleboarding experience amongst the Pacific. We'll paddle for an hour, and then head back to the beach to shower, share stories and take a group photo. This experience includes a certified Stand-Up Paddle Instructor (PSUPA), ALL necessary equipment, and live-action photos and videos shareable through airdrop or Google drive. “Glow Down the River” is a relaxing paddle down the Anahulu River with LED lights attached underneath the boards colorfully illuminating your path! As you paddle, the boards will light up the river bottom exposing friendly, curious sea life: fish, sea turtles and maybe even spotted rays! We will begin with an introduction to the class and equipment, followed by a brief Stand Up Paddleboard lesson on land. No experience necessary! We will teach you everything you need to know to enjoy this paddle! We will launch the boards into the water and peacefully glow our way down the river with our LED lit boards guided by the moon and stars.

Come learn, work, and tour our farm as you help out on a native Hawaiian-owned organic family chocolate farm! Papa will play some Hawaiian music for you after the work is done. He is the Native Hawaiian patriarch of our family. Enter an ancient volcano on Hawaiian Homestead & learn Hawaiian agriculture & history. Help shape & tend this family-owned organic chocolate farm of exotic trees, flowers, miniature horses, pygmy goats, & silky chicks. The farm always needs tending, from pulling weeds to planting, watering plants, trimming trees, cleaning stalls and washing water buckets. Give back to the land as you do something totally unique! You will need transportation as Lyft and Uber do not always come or pick up from here, and they charge a lot if they do. Buses are not always reliable, and biking is impossible as the roads to our farm are too narrow. Our family farm is located in a Rainforest, and we work rain or shine as it is still warm & comfortable. Please wear beach shoes & old clothes, even beachwear is fine. There are outdoor restrooms where you can wash up when the work is done. You will work at your own pace and can rest or take shade as you need. Learn the lost secrets to communicating with horses! Meet a certified miniature therapy horse and her rare blue-eyed one-in-a-billon daughter! This hands-on horse whisperer class covers safety, horsemanship, horse cues, and secret signals that will help you feel more relaxed in the presence of all animals and any size horse! You will interact with the horses personally as you learn how horses communicate when they choose to be our friends & "talk" with us. You will have many opportunities to capture photos and selfies with the horses. Depending on the weather and baby due dates, you will also meet and handle Pygmy goats and other farm animals. This class is on a working farm. We are vaccinated and sanitize our equipment as much as possible, but you will be outside in a large open area with live animals that will communicate when they can see and read your face. So please book a private session if you prefer to be isolated from other guests, choose to wear a mask, or do not speak English well.
