Upon entering Casa Habano, each guest will be greeted with a traditional Cuban coffee or "Cafe Cubano" to get a full sensory experience From there we begin a video on the seeding, germination, planting, curing, fermenting and sorting of tobacco leaves before shipped to factories. We continue by sharing the history of Commercial cigar rolling in Florida which began with small-scale operations by Cuban immigrants in the 1830s, and blossomed in to the "cigar Capital of the World", with Pioneers like Vicente martinez Ybor and Eduardo Manrara. Next we visit our pettit GALERA to experience each manufacturing stage: PRIMARY PROCESS - This is where you get to see firsthand the different types of tobacco and the aging process. Here you will see and learn how various tobaccos are sorted. DEVEINING - The removal of the center vein is a critical process of preparing the tobacco, and we will show you how it is done. TWISTING & ROLLING - Constructing a cigar is a 3 step process. See our Master Torcedores, twist, bind, press and roll our premium cigars. PACKING - Once cigars have been rolled they undergo further aging, before they're label and packaged for distribution. For safety, we recommend to wear closed shoes. There is no better way to see and experience Miami and South Florida than from the seat of a bicycle. In a very small group, we will ride along a safe path away from traffic along the bay and take in the picturesque views. I'll take you off the beaten path so we could see and experience spots many locals don't even know about. On our adventure we'll encounter large birds, iguanas, and small wildlife. If we're very lucky we may spot a manatee, wild rabbit, eagle ray, dolphin, and even a crocodile (yes, not an alligator). Many of these locations are not accessible by car and best experienced on bicycle. As we ride along scenic beaches, I will share the history and folklore about a few of the landmarks we will pass. Halfway through our adventure we will stop at the oldest structure in Miami-Dade, bring a snack and enjoy a quick bite overlooking Biscayne National Park. Our bike tour will be 17 miles total, we can shorten it at any time if ALL the guest(s) agree to it. It's at an easy pace and we make several stops along the way so most guests never even notice the distance. It typically takes about 3 hours. ***If you do not have your own bicycle then you will need to rent one for $20 each*** There is free parking at our meet up location. I will take you out on a boat to leave the marina and get to the middle of Biscayne bay. There I will give you a life jacket and ask you to sit inside your inflatable tube! Once ready you tell me how fast you want to go and I will tow you around the bay and skip over the water! Adrenaline and Fun guaranteed!
