We went to York for a creative retreat and the house was the perfect backdrop for firing up creativity and imaginative whilst having lots of space to relax in the evenings. Everything was as listed, clean and homely, and any questions were answered promptly. We'd love to stay again!

Mick and Sarah's accomodation was as described. clCheck-in / check out was easy and the house was in great condition. They were responsive throughout and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

An amazing house in a lovely location. 10 mind walk across a field to breweries, pubs, fish and chips, etc. Great hosts who communicated everything really well

What an amazing place to stay - so peaceful, quiet and tranquil. A lovely Airbnb which we can’t wait to come back to… bed was super comfy, all the facilities were great, lovely touches - fresh orange milk and things for breakfast…. One of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. Fantastic food at the local pub nearby and a great place to have a jog as well. Brilliant hosts who made us feel right at home!

We had an amazing stay, Claire's had everything we could possibly need & more! Location was great, a 1 minute walk to the local pub which was really friendly & great for quiz night on a Wednesday! A 20 minute walk into Holmfirth for a choice of lovely coffee shops & places to eat! Plenty of walks & bike rides straight out of the house! Thank you for having us & thank you so much for all the tasty treats!

Wonderful home and extremely responsive and helpful host - the joining information was incredible - your ecologists loved the house and felt right at home. Will def use if we are up there again. Thanks Andrew

A unique and atmospheric place to stay with a very welcoming and friendly host. Loved the sculpture park and art galleries. Easy walking distance to Thirsk market place with all this great Yorkshire town has to offer.

We loved our stay at Watersedge Lodge, which has superb views of the valley and the nearby canal. There is a range of seating outdoors - perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The appartment was tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with good utensils/pans for home cooking, and we were grateful of a fridge and a freezer. What made our visit extra special was the hosts. They were quick to respond to messages and very understanding and accommodating of our needs. They are kind, considerate and supportive. We highly recommend Watersedge Lodge. It’s a perfect bolt hole for those needing a quiet retreat, or if you want to explore walks and bike rides on the nearby canal, or farther afield in the Yorkshire Dales. There are also lots of cultural and historical adventures to be had nearby in Leeds, Bradford, Saltaire, Keighley, Haworth and Skipton. Finally, as mentioned by all the guests…. The Yorkshire Tea loaf is a winner! ❤️

Thankyou Mike - your place provided a comfortable retreat while we waited for our house purchase to go through. Very warm and well equipped.

A very comfortable place to stay with a huge TV in the lounge, comfy bed, great shower and nice helpful touches - milk and biscuits are always appreciated. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in a great dispenser in the shower and easy parking on the property. After saying I wanted to go for a walk, Mark helpfully gave me directions to the local reservoir that can be walked around. There is a nice pub opposite this road (a very short walk, just around the corner) and various other places a short drive or longish walk away. I wanted a good walk so for me, walking to the local pizza and separate fish and chip shop was good. I’d forgotten that in this part of the world fish is often fried in beef dripping, delicious! After my walk back to Mark’s place it was nice to have a cup of tea and a couple of sweet biscuits. Mark’s place is in an interesting old building which has been painted and finished inside to a very high standard. Comfortable and perfect for my needs.

Having a house number would have helped me to find it. Maybe I missed something but I needed to call to get advice on the exact location.

We had a lovely stay at Water Hall Farm, and enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and fire pit - we were even able to grill our dinner over the fire pit! The view is overlooking a lovely cow field, and the area was very quiet and peaceful. The only complaint we have it it would have been nice to have some complimentary tea and coffee packets out to use.

This cabin is a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend the hub tub as made it even more special. zero stress from booking to leaving. Well worth every penny.

Sandra's place was perfect for our short stay in Yorkshire. We particularly enjoyed the outside space and seeing the ducks.

Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

Sean was a great host, very communicative, responsive and friendly. The lodge was lovely, very clean and cosy, and perfect for a getaway for 2. The surroundings were peaceful and well maintained/presented and we never heard a peep out of other guests so it still felt private. The website was very helpful for local reccomendations, which made it easy to find somewhere for dinner. Being able to self-cater to an extent with a fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, and private bbq, was excellent.

When we turned up we were greeted and taken to the cabin to check in. Rias father was very helpful and made us feel very welcome, everything was explained to us and anything we should need we just had to ask. We absolutely loved our stay, it was such a cosy cabin and very much needed for some time away, it was in a lovely peaceful area and just a short drive away to the local shops and restaurants 😀 We will certainly book to stay here again. What a beautiful cabin and surroundings! It exceeded our expectations. Beautifully surrounded by trees and the flowing stream. Lighting up the fire before going to bed, waking up to the birds chirping or taking a shower outside was amazing. As advertised, there is no network in the cabin - we were very happy to take a break from our phones (but for those who can’t help it, there is 4G just up the hill). We used the kitchen for breakfast- it had all the essentials. We managed without a car by booking a cab from Thirsk station. You can walk to Helmsley on a very beautiful path to restock if you have to (c.1h30 one way). Bring warm clothes although there are some blankets / warm bottles in the cottage which we appreciated. You can purchase additional logs on the property (if you do not have a car like us). Katy and Scott were very responsive and amenable which we appreciated. Absolutely recommend.

Peter's place was spotless! he is an awesome host and even helped us set up a barbecue. the place is exactly as advertised and we loved the vibes!
