Beautiful House in a chocolate Box Village, although this village is very real and seemed like predominantly local people, making it quieter than South Cotswolds. Which is what we wanted. The local pub is a must, the food is lovely and on another level, no frills, but the owner has obviously got an excellent pedigree. The house was very warm and well stocked with all utensils. Don't want to be neggy, but needs a deep clean on surfaces, Dishwasher left dirty and ceiling cobwebs. Just takes the edge off. Great walks all around the village and would certainly go back.

This stay was a surprise for my partner’s birthday, and she cried with happiness when we arrived! I added the birthday package which was a lovely touch and really nice. Will definitely stay here again and make it ‘our place’. Cannot recommend it enough. Out of this world

Sally’s place felt like going through a portal into a magical garden. The house was so cozy with beautiful vintage decor and an amazing fireplace. The highlight of the trip was eating breakfast outside by the river and watch the ducks. And can’t forget about the lovely host Sally is! Always responsive and helpful with lots of good food and nature walks recommendations.

Sarah’s place was a great place to stay. We visited as a group of friends and the grounds were a real highlight - including the lake and hot tub! The mezzanine bedroom is fully private. Would recommend!

Outstanding hosts. We were super happy to stay with them for a second time! The welcome basket was a really thoughtful gesture and the extra touches like robes and slippers were very helpful.

Absolutely incredible house for a party! It has a full bar, tonnes of fridges for drinks, amazing kitchen, long table for big dinners, pool table, football table, hot tub and trampoline. All the bedrooms were so comfy and so many bathrooms and showers. We were a party of 11 and we never ran short of glasses, plates or anything we needed. Highly highly recommended for a party or large group!

Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location! We stayed as 9 adults and a dog, we all had loads of space and the dog was able to freely run around as the fence was secured with chicken wire. It’s is a truly unique property, maintaining its old water mill features and surrounded by beautiful views of fields. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the host was thoughtful leaving a home made Victoria sponge. It was also very easy to access other villages in the Cotswolds with a car, as well as local walks. Perfect for a large group.

The host messaged us with all the details we needed. There was nothing we needed to ask the host at all due to the very close instructions! Overall great stay, very peaceful and exactly as advertised on the website!

Carina was a good host and always available without being intrusive. The property is well priced and cosy with all the amenities required for an extended stay with lots to do on the doorstep in the beautiful area as well easily accessible links to the motorways to travel further afield. We visited the place and used it as a base as a family of 5 and spent a lot of the time out of the property as we were visiting family in the area. The amenities were great and we were able to wash the kids clothes that were getting dirty from all the outdoor activities available on the doorstep, we did a fair bit of walking in the surrounding country trails and went to legoland which is close by, the local pub was within walking distance and served fantastic food at a great price. I have nothing negative to say about the accommodation and host and would welcome another visit here, if I was to add a constructive appraisal would perhaps look to update the soft furnishings for a enhanced experience.

What a gem of a find!! The cottage is quaint & cosy but with all mod cons and lovely comfortable beds & pillows. There was a very generous welcome package, with tea, coffee, sugar, milk & biscuits, not to mention, dishwasher & laundry capsules, washing up liquid, kitchen roll & plenty of toilet rolls and a large tub of logs for the fire. These mighty not seem important but in my experience they are often lacking and they were much appreciated. Alan responsed promptly to a couple of questions I had and we tried out 2 of his restaurant recommendations, which were in the cottage information folder, both of which were lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and don't be put off by the 2nd bedroom being described as 'more suitable for children', it is small but my 21 & 18 yr old daughters managed perfectly in there for a couple of nights. This was booked a few weeks before we stayed and suited us to the ground. Bicester Village was the perfect place close by to get to Oxford by train. Easy to get to Blenheim Palace for their opening Christmas Weekend and Festival of illuminations. The Property had everything you could wish for, air Fryer, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge etc Christmas really did start early for as we were leaving with over an inch of snow on the Green and then 2 hours driving home in a Blizzard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, modern house. Beautiful walks from the house and a rather excellent pub a few doors down. A quiet and peaceful location.

It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Caroline’s beautiful barn conversion. Everything was immaculate, lots of space, well equipped and furnished and so comfortable in every respect. Caroline was so welcoming and helpful and had provided so many very thoughtful extra touches, from all the ingredients for a delicious full breakfast with bacon and amazing fresh hen’s eggs, chocolate brownies, sweets to toiletries and so much more. Caroline really had anticipated all any guests could possibly need. The setting is so peaceful and just a short stroll to all the amenities of this lovely village and so easy to explore Cambridge from too. We were all very sad to leave at the end of our stay.

Katrien's cottage was ideal for our stay in Oundle. Close to the centre of town, walkable in 5 - 10 minutes. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped with plenty of choice of crockery and glassware. a very well equipped kitchen. Katrien has taken a lot of thought into the decor and ambience of the property. The bedrooms were a good size, very comfortable beds and lovely crisp linen. a well appointed shower room, which was spotlessly clean. Katrien is a great host. She was very helpful finding on street parking. Her communication is very personable and her response time very quick.

Lovely place and the owner was very friendly. We also saw some animals in the garden which was nice : )

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dieser schönen Unterkunft sehr genossen. Joanna hat uns wahnsinnig viele und total leckere Sachen hinterlassen. Der beste Zitronenkuchen, den wir in England gegessen haben! Die Lage ist großartig für schöne Spaziergänge, aber auch andere bekanntere Orte sind nicht weit entfernt.

The ‘Secret Cottage’ was a really nice place to stay, my wife and I really enjoyed our time there. A hidden gem.

We can’t recommend the Cottage enough, it was everything we needed and more! A tranquil, peaceful setting with a beautifully equipped cottage. We arrived exhausted and it was just perfect. Dinah was so helpful and friendly and had left us with all the basics we needed and even fresh flowers! Thank you so much!

Everything was great! Pedro is an excellent communicator and was very welcoming. It’s ideal if you want to bring dogs, the gardens are beautiful and there are lots of good walks in the area. (There are some stairs so not for those with mobility issues.)

A beautiful cottage with everything we needed in a peaceful rural environment. We really enjoyed our stay.

I’ve never been so sad to leave an Air BnB! Peaceful, quiet, heaven! Lovely enclosed garden/decking with patches of grass for the dogs, plenty of choice of outdoor furniture! Decking is a little worn and rotted in certain parts but otherwise it was a perfect little spot, we had perfect weather and spent most our time out there. 3 beautiful horses to watch graze from the garden with a cuppa, and a very cute donkey and Shetland behind the house to say hello to! It was honestly amazing - the perfect quiet retreat, the house is on the owners’ land but we were never disturbed but hosts were extremely responsive if we needed anything. Beautiful flowers and lovely fresh sourdough, chocolate and wine left for us which was such a lovely touch! Hosts were so welcoming and friendly, helped us with our bags which was very kind. Rooms were amazing with TVs, great wardrobe space, full working kitchen, stunning bathroom. We literally had everything we could possibly need, I would live there forever!

The stay at Julie and Alistair’s lodge was lovely! It was so quiet and peaceful, and a lovely getaway from the busy city life. The place was lovely and a fantastic location with lots to do locally, as well as only being a short drive from central Cambridge. Julie provided us with loads of local recommendations which meant we really got to make the most of our short stay. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be visiting again ☺️
