Kate is a lovely helpful free spirit. The accommodation suited me down to the ground but is basic. The nearest pub/shop is a 30/40 minute walk. The toilet is a composting one (bucket with sawdust in it which you empty yourself.) Lots of seasonal veg is available and if you so choose you can even help around the farm. Not for everyone but if your down to earth and relaxed sort of person, youll love it.

This airbnb is a very special sanctuary. The most delightful stay we’ve ever had in dozens and dozens of Airbnb stays. Athlone is a nice, clean city with a lot to offer, but we would return solely due to Paul and Lucia, and their beautiful home. Note some stairs and a slanted ceiling in part of the bathroom (carefully navigated 5'7" and 6'2"). Water pressure is great. Lots of light and amazing outdoor space as noted in listing. Listing photos are nice, but the real thing is fabulous beyond expectation!

I stayed at Carmel's place a few years ago and have often wanted to return. This time we stayed at Carmel's place with a large group of mums and our kids. We had wonderful time and would love to give even more stars as Carmel and Fintan went above and beyond anything expected from and air BnB host. The location was great in a rural setting and safe and secure so we felt our kids were safe running around. The cleanliness and facilities were second to none and their were so many extra personal touches that made our stay so comfortable including taking into account food preferences for breakfast and leaving us some lovely treats. Some quotes from the other mums show how pleased we really were: Carmel was so thoughtful. When they saw how many kids there were they power washed and sanitised some extra toys for them to play with which was a nice touch. Carmel went above and beyond with the extras (toiletries, slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, treats), we really weren't expecting that. And she seemed happy to host a load of children which lots of places are not. Absolutely the best air BnB I’ve stayed in for all the little extras, the pony rides were fantastic….the slippers & toiletries etc. It was a great space for kids & families. I didn’t feel worried about letting the kids roam for a bit… The super stocked fridge 👍🏼 the electric front gate made it feel safe as well and the ground level trampoline was a major hit with all 😁

Mark's place is a fantastic property will more than ample space for large groups of people with all the home comforts you could need to make your stay home from home. Also Mark responds very quickly and is fully focused on making his guests stay perfect. We will always stay again if Mark has the availability.

Jennifer's place was just perfect for our stay. We were down for a Set Dancing weekend in Longford town and it was about 10 mins from there and an easy drive in. On the Saturday we had a lovely walk along the Royal Canal which runs past Jennifer's house and after about 50min walk we arrived in the neighbouring village where we enjoyed a lovely pint and lunch in the Richmond Inn. Jennifer's place was clean, tidy and very comfortable. She kindly left bacon. eggs, bread, milk and cereal for us, delicious and appreciated. We would highly recommend and would def book again. My brother stayed at Claire's place for a second time and found the room perfect! Claire is a very responsive and attentive host, and the room was excellent. Would recommend to all guests!

A lovely house in a beautiful location. The house was well set up for young children and our dog.
