This bungalow is one of the iconic buildings of yesteryears Kalimpong The bungalow is beautifully kept, restoring old bits and parts and modernizing them for daily comfort. We loved the simple decor, massive open garden and the food The chef and the manager in site are extremely courteous and helpful. We were a family of 7 and we were very well taken care of. Rita personally came and met us, and gave us a hand baked cake and muffins. The location is serene, quite and peaceful. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. And the staff is there throughout. For sure, one of our best ever stays

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

We had a 3 night stay at Sanjay's place and though it was pretty warm at Kalimpong, the house was cool, covered with greenery all around. If you like places which are away from the hustle and bustle, tucked within greenery, then this is the place to go. Food was homely and delicious. My 10 year old son was busy througout the stay playing in the adjoining areas in the property. We were travelling with old parents and my wife was recovering from a fractured foot so when we navigated through the flight of stairs to reach to our cottage, they did not seem happy. But all of that was gone the next days as they enjoyed all the walk they could get amidst the purity of nature. Sanjay and his staff are super responsive and always there with a smile. So in short, if you are looking at this property and reading my review, my suggestion would be to go ahead and book.

We spent a couple of days at this serene retreat and absolutely loved it! Our ever-smiling host, Lama Pasang, was incredibly helpful. The presence of the super-friendly dogs was a much-appreciated bonus. While local food options were limited, they were delicious and very reasonably priced. We would love to visit again — preferably for a longer stay!

He was always available to help with any requests Overall, if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and authentic experience in Darjeeling, I highly recommend staying at Bhasker’s homestay.

If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. We had a wonderful stay at Birendra's Airbnb! The place boasts a modern touch with stunning infrastructure, surrounded by lush tea gardens and serene forests truly a nature lover's paradise. Birendra was an exceptional host, always communicative and eager to help with any questions we had. One of the highlights was the delicious home-cooked meals prepared by his family; they were a delightful addition to our experience. The cleanliness of the space was impeccable making us feel right at home. The surrounding attractions, including scenic trails and local tea plantations, provided ample opportunities for exploration and relaxation. Overall, this was a perfect getaway spot for anyone looking to unwind in nature. Highly recommend!
