This property was by far one of the best properties I have rented. The area it is located is very peaceful. The view out the front is very relaxing and the house was spotless. If we are back in the area, this will be our first choice! From a very Happy renter! Gigi

We could not have been happier with our stay! We quickly fell in love with the house and the surrounding area! Even tho it was our first time here, it felt so familiar and inviting. Had a comment from one of my grown Grandsons that this was the best vacation he’d ever been on! We definitely plan on coming back! Thank you Craig for a wonderful family memory event!

Great views in a quiet section of the lake and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Joseph was very responsive and accommodating.

A peaceful and quiet place for a restful get away…one of the most beautiful views on Smith Lake. Lynn was very responsive and provided all information needed prior to check-in.

Jim was so flexible. At first I thought i was going to get there early on friday so I wrote him if I could check in early. He said I could be there at noon. We did not end up leaving texas until friday evening so we arrived around 10 am on saturday. The place looked so amazing I still wanted to stay an extra day anyway, I asked if I could add an extra day to my stay since we missed the friday (of course we meant to pay) and he said we definitely could and since we missed friday we could stay the extra day for free! I intended to pay but he said it was fine! Then he walked my kids and I through the main property. The deck, the boathouse, the lake! Wow!!!! It was so beautiful and peaceful! It was like a scene from a movie. Jim offered up sodas and waters and told us if we needed any we can get some at anytime. Walked us inside the main house and said we could get coffee and overall a great and kind host. While out he was messaging me on the AirBNB app to suggest places to visit! 🙌🏼

Wonderful place to relax! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped for a comfortable stay! Downstairs room is perfect for my teenagers And plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the views and scenery! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this listing as well as the host !!! The view alone once you arrive is worth it !!! We came across this listing due needing to find a place that was close to my Grandfather’s nursing home in Jasper as we came in from Minnesota to say our goodbyes. I explained to the host the situation of why we were needing to find somewhere close but also have somewhere that was peaceful at the end of some very emotional days . Also I might add being able to bring our pet with made this trip 10 times easier than what we had originally expected . We have a 78 lb service animal for my son who is severely autistic as well as non verbal, he is his comfort most days when he is so easily overstimulated. Anna even offered some kinds words considering the reason we came down . It also made it easier to go back and forth when it came to food/cooking considering my allergies . Thank you Anna for being so kind & responding back so promptly! This will def be our go to from now on when visiting.

the space was great! pup and kid friendly, morgan was always responsive, the property was private and a perfect space for spring break. we didnt catch any firsh but had a fun time in the lake anyway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family's stay at Cottages # 1 and # 2. It was beautiful and peaceful. What a gorgeous setting! We were able to access the docks and rented a boat which we kept there overnight. As others have mentioned, there are 130 steps down to the dock from Cottage 1. Cottage 2's path to the other deck had less steps but you also have to walk on a rocky trail. Cottage 2's deck is covered. The only other issue at Cottage 1 was the steeper / gravel driveway, which has also been mentioned in a review. Cottage 2's driveway was level. It was okay for us because we had a truck with 4WD. We parked the sedan further up the hill. We didn't mind the walk to Cottage 1 or between the cottages, but an elderly person might. Otherwise, these 2 cottages were in a picture-perfect setting and we had great time there with our families, babies and dogs! Thank you!

Tim and his family were great host communicated each evening to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. Lived on the lake for 15 years before relocating to Florida. And will definitely be booking another stay with Tim.
