We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely home over the weekend to celebrate my birthday with my family and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. From the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful touches throughout, it’s clear that the hosts take great pride in creating a welcoming and relaxing space. The location was peaceful and perfect for a family getaway, with plenty of space to enjoy time together. 10/10 would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and well-cared-for home. We’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, quiet, and had a lovely ambiance that made it easy to relax. The hot tub was a great bonus and added to the peaceful, private atmosphere. It was also very convenient— the location made getting around simple. A small suggestion: adding shades or blinds to the large windows and doors would help with privacy, especially in the evenings. Overall, a great place to stay—would definitely recommend!

Kris has a beautiful property! Spatious, very well equipped, comfortable furniture, great entertainment options for adolescents and children. Great option to spend quality time together as a larger group.

This was our second time at Stephane’s place and it was just as we remembered. A very special place. It is a great place to relax, enjoy some peace and quiet and reconnect with nature. All while listening to some great music and discovering the small amusing details. Thank you for sharing your incredible place. We needed and enjoyed our time here.

Sometimes you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and that’s exactly what JPs place offers. We absolutely loved the design of the cottage and the property is beautiful and private. A big storm came through and knocked out power, but the onsite generator kicks in immediately to ensure you’re covered. Close to town when needed, but secluded enough to relax and unwind. The claw foot tub and rain shower are fantastic, and the fireplace and seating in the living room made for cozy evenings. The cottage has everything you’d need to cook great meals in the beautiful kitchen. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

Great place, right on the lake, very clean and has 2 paddle boats to explore the lake. Highly recommend!

Lovely cottage on lake Mississipi that was perfect for 4 people and our puppies. Wonderful communication and easy check in and out process. Good distance from Carleton which has access to all you need. cozy stay.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end avec des amis, la saison ne nous a pas permis d'exploiter tout le potentiel du chalet mais nous avons quand même pu faire du canoë sur le lac. Le chalet est assez spacieux pour 8 personnes et très agréable à vivre ! Julie est une hôte accommodante et très réactive. Nous la remercions encore de nous avoir accueillis si gentiment dans son chalet familial.

We had a wonderful stay at Eliane’s place! The cottage was very comfortable, very spacious, well decorated and very clean. The place is very quiet and peaceful and has a beautiful view on the Ottawa River. We would stay there any time again.

An immaculate cottage just over 30 minutes outside Ottawa. The views of the River were a beautiful backdrop to our cozy weekend retreat this April. Whether we were sitting on the patios taking in the River, inside the enclosed deck playing cards, or sleeping in the comfy beds, we were well satisfied. Our hosts were also incredibly responsive to all our questions. We hope to return in the future!

Every year, we reunite as friends in a chalet… and this one is, without a doubt, the most beautiful we’ve ever stayed in. The place radiates peace and natural beauty. Everything is spotlessly clean, thoughtfully prepared, and offered with true generosity. Délicious coffee, a selection of teas, soft robes, firewood provided… it truly feels like a spa retreat. We enjoyed coffee by the lake, yoga on the terrace, and peaceful moments by the stunning indoor fireplace. And the hosts… such a kind, welcoming, and thoughtful family, sharing this little piece of paradise with heart. Thank you so much Brianna and Devin for welcoming us so warmly. The best Airbnb experience I've ever had at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Tiffany and Alex put so much thought into making this a perfect stay. The cottage was immaculately clean, incredibly organized, and stocked with everything you could possibly need—down to the smallest detail. The property itself is stunning, offering both peace and beauty in every direction. Tiffany and Alex were amazing hosts—extremely communicative and always ready to assist with anything. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning!

Hands down one of the best cottages we’ve stayed at. Beautiful lakefront location with everything you need and more included with your stay. The sauna was a lovely added touch. Communication was great and the cottage was very clean and finished to a high standard. We’ll be sure to come back one day!

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

The house was just perfect for our family. We are a family of 4 and travelled to Ottawa to meet my sister in law and mother in law- but needed a space to be able to spend the weekend all together. Monica's place is quite large and has so many unique areas to hang out, that anyone wanting a quiet space could have it. In the summer it would have been even more amazing with all the beautiful decks on the house. The beds were all comfortable and bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The kitchen was large and generally had most supplies. It was a cold weekend with a lot of snow- Monica took care of regular snow cleaning and the house/every room was very comfortable and warm. Monica was very kind and responsive to questions. We would love to stay here again.
