Place was so awesome! Nice clean, good space for 3 adults and 2 infants. There was some fresh eggs, fresh milk and mandarins! It was so amazing. As it's farm, in the morning me and my kid could see milking cow, some ducks and chickens with chicks. Shame that we couldn't stay one more day. I really recommend this place.

Off-grid paradise with full-size gas hobs, hot shower, cooking utensils, and a cozy fireplace. Stunning views of Lake Clearwater from the deck, perfect for a relaxing tea on the wooden chair. Just seconds from the lake and close to Mount Guy and other tracks. Mt Sunday (LOTR Edoras) is nearby with breathtaking scenery. Thanks Warren for sharing this beautiful spot with us, and it is not easy to run an offgrid airbnb. Note: Cannot use plug points, but there’s a USB & USB-c charging station in the kitchen. Nearest store is 30 mins away in Mount Somers so bring everything you need. There is gas operated fridge but we didn't use. We found helpful house instructions inside, but it would’ve been great to have them before arriving. We had mobile coverage for 2degrees and Spark. Toilet is outside, shower is inside. Hot water only available in the shower. Smallest bedroom has outdoor access only, but other two rooms can sleep 10. All rooms have doors to outside, easy to access the toilet.

Lovely stay in a secluded farm setting close to Franz Josef Glacier. The house had plenty of thoughtful personal touches and was surrounded by beautiful scenery — very peaceful and enjoyable. It did feel a bit isolated at times, and the power outage around 11pm for about an hour was a bit unsettling. But overall, it was a unique and memorable experience, and we really enjoyed our time there.

Had a great time at John’s place. Easy check in with the combo, 15 mins from town. Perfect place for a night. Hot water and well stocked kitchen. Had no trouble making some breakfast before setting out for the day. Happy we made this stop. Mahalo John.

Incredible bnb! Their home is a gem in such a tranquil setting. Glow worms right in their yard! Room and bath are squeaky clean, access to kitchen and the fridge is provided, and there was breakfast available! It’s close enough to walk to a restaurant, laundry, and the kiwi center. They are both wonderful people and Rocco is beautiful!

Great stay! Beautiful spot and perfect for a place to stay the night before we went tramping.

we were looking for something quiet and close to the beach, and this fit the bill. Plenty of room, especially if you’re hosting 4-6 people. on a sidenote, Allison reached out to me after I had forgotten my electric toothbrush and tried to return it to me. Above and beyond.
