5 Stars! Jenny was an absolute lifesaver and such a kind host! She accommodated us last minute without hesitation and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Her place at Hilo Lagoon was spotless, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. The location was perfect, and her warm hospitality really made our trip extra special. Highly recommend staying here—mahalo nui, Jenny!

Anthony’s (Tony) place was quite the revelation, a little paradise!. Located close to downtown, it was perfect for exploring Hilo by foot including local cafes, grocery shops, farmers market and the odd pub! Tony was a truly amazing host and quick to respond. The listing was exactly as pictured—clean, cozy, and full of Hawaiian charm, with beautiful artefacts, and some paintings he has actually done himself! The kitchen was fully equipped with all the appliances one would ever need and complimentary teas, water, coffee (and a coffee maker or filters – for the traditional coffee drinker to actually brew the coffee), which I diligently used. The property also has lots of books for the avid reader, puzzles and board games such as dominos, chess, cards to keep one busy. Wifi was fast, and a Bluetooth speaker is provided to listen to favourite music. I would 100% stay again! Mahalo dear Tony and consider accepting my invite for a safari in Kenya!

Rhonda and Jeff were fantastic hosts! Their place was modern, spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully set up. The small AC unit was surprisingly powerful—as long as the room door stayed open and the ceiling fan was on low, it stayed perfectly cool. They thought of everything: beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkels), bug spray, even an umbrella by the door. The bed was super comfortable, hot water was reliable, and the assigned parking spot was large and convenient. My husband also appreciated the outdoor cloths for cleaning gear. It’s a bit of a drive from Hilo and Keaau, so a vehicle is needed, but otherwise, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay. We’d absolutely recommend this Airbnb and would happily come back. Rhonda and Jeff are such thoughtful and lovely hosts—thank you both for your warm hospitality!

AMAZING HOUSE !! Had 5 people stay with me and each of us felt comfortable and relaxed with the amount of space there was. Highly recommended anyone needing a place to stay with groups.

Perfect location to have a vacation: close to volcano national park and Hilo beach. Vey quiet home with a lot of space. We really enjoyed it.

This was a lovely, peaceful Airbnb in a nice neighborhood immediately outside of Hilo. Gregory met us upon arrival to ensure that we had what we needed. The unit included everything that we could have needed and more, including a very well-stocked kitchen, yoga mats, guide books, and beach chairs. We could easily get to downtown Hilo within a ten-minute drive and return to the unit for a soak in the hot tub. We loved Hilo and would absolutely stay here again.

Scott's place is a little remote area tucked away in Kehena. Walking distance is a beautiful black sand beach that was honestly the most beautiful one I visited during my time in Hawai'i. The accommodation itself was well maintained, and Scott was such a pleasure. He's so friendly and would chat me up and check in whenever he saw me walk up to the property. This is overall an excellent spot. Tip: Be a little prepared on your journey here -- depending on your provider you might not get service, so GPS is hard to come by. I also could not make calls or check texts, which wasn't so much an issue once I settled in. The Big Island is also, well, big, and it takes more than an hour to get to places from Scott's, but with a little planning, you can get by just fine!

You really get a good feel of what it would be like to live on the island staying at this Airbnb. It’s more like you’re in a neighborhood. It takes a few minutes to get anywhere, but it’s absolutely gorgeous and the side of the island has a lot to do outside. Down South We really enjoyed the lava tubes, the black sandy beach, and all the waterfalls and hiking that you could do up north in Hilo. To enjoy the north east and south east part of the island. This is a perfect house.

Lucky to grab this location for a few days. Accommodations were great for three parties of folks. Especially great one couple could bring their dog. Unfortunately, we missed the volcano eruptions, which started the day we checked out for home. They seemed to have everything you might need and super cozy, including the reclining couch sections were comfortable enough to sleep in!!

Terrific value, great location (easy 5 minute walk to now almoust famous Sunday drum circle) and a lanai with a view of the Big Blue ocean. You can nowadays find luxe places in the area with lovely gardens and designer soaps and Ka’u coffee to greet you, but you’ll pay more if that’s what you need. I’ve done them all, but keep returning to Dawana and Andy’s for my extended stays. The area is “off the beaten path” so exploring the island means a lot of long drives. However if you simply enjoy being where you are, you’ve hit the value jackpot. I am certain to be back!

Our family has stayed here twice in the last few years. The multiple levels with lots of space provide room for everyone. The three outside patios (two of them covered) are great for enjoying the views and serenity of the area. The hosts also provide lots of beach gear, including lounge chairs, water shoes, masks & snorkels, boogie boards, etc. The house is very well maintained and very clean.

This property truly exceeded all of our expectations. The owners and the property manager were incredibly friendly and responsive, providing us with everything we needed to ensure our stay was seamless. From the luxurious amenities to the stunning surroundings, it was an experience we’ll never forget. The house was in a good location for our plan. We were close to town for restaurants & grocery stores. Me were up for a quiet vacation and certainly were able to avoid the crowds. It is situated near Hilo & Kīlauea volcano, which were our primary focus. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Awesome place and responsive host. Right on Carl Smith Beach Park, which is beautiful. Balcony is screened which cuts down on bugs, place and was super clean with thoughtful beach supplies that made our stay much more comfortable.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

This condo was beautiful and spacious. She left soooo many amenities we were blown away. Like sunscreen if you needed it, woman products, creamer in the fridge, chips and macadamia nut treats. Truly a wonderful well stocked condo, not to mention the stunning view from the deck. We will stay here again for sure! Mahalo for having us

Luxe was very responsive, friendly, proactive and understanding. The apartment is beautiful and the scenery and proximity to the ocean and great snorkeling cannot be beat

This unit is in a perfect location and proximity to everything in Hilo . Peacefully setting away from the busy Merrie Monarch activities. Clean , Hosts were responsive to everything we needed . We’d love to stay there next time we are visiting hilo .. And yes , the cat was very welcoming too !

Lovely and spacious for my 3 month stay for work. All the amenities that I needed for cooking and cleaning, communal laundry in bldg, good wifi coverage. Safe and walkable to downtown which I loved. Small amount of noise with neighbours and ants/insects which are expected to some degree being in an apt bldg, in the tropics. I would definitely stay there again:)

We had a great stay! Joe and Cindy were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout. The place was beautiful, well-stocked with everything we needed, and parking was super easy. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Wow. We loved this place. It was clean, we'll decorated, and had an amazing view from the lanai. We loved watching for whales while drinking coffee in the mornings. Carlsmith park is accessible through a gate on the property and was wonderful for swimming. We saw sea turtles every time we went!
