Roger’s beach house was charming. It was an older-style home with many modern updates. Quick and easy walking path to the beach. The pool in the backyard was lovely. It was a little dirty upon arriving and Roger came right over and got it all cleaned up for us during our stay. The neighborhood was a little rough we did have a few uncomfortable encounters with homeless people being two girls alone it was a little unsettling. Overall, I would definitely come back again. The weather was absolutely beautiful for our stay.

House was great! Small but not too small and perfect for vacation rental. Med sized dog, husband, and toddler loved it. Kenzie leaves you everything you need from a raised double dog dish to dishwasher and laundry pods….awesome attention to detail. Pics don’t do it justice as more outside and living room seating have been added. Fire pit was really cute and everything to get it started and have a fire were there even though we didn’t get a chance. Reasonable driving distance to VA beach, zoo, and playgrounds. Food easily accessible both driving and walking. Grocery store is close drive but don’t forget your butter. The corner store sees you coming! It was super clean well done and would love to stay again. Thank you Kenzie for being a great host!

Kate’s place was perfect for our family’s first trip to Norfolk! The beach is literally less than a 5 minute walk away. Her home is adorable and her neighbors are the sweetest people! My kids loved their little dog. We felt very comfortable in the house — very nice neighborhood and the home had everything we needed! We were very close to downtown as well. We will definitely be coming back if we make it back to Norfolk! Thank you Kate!

This was a wonderful location with personal touches and thoughtful planning. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked, yard was perfect for our dog and beds were clean and comfortable. Our dog loved the beach which was a quick walk away. Brian was responsive on the two occasions I had to reach him. The home was close to Little Creek base which was convenient to see our son. Parking was terrific and the home is on a street that is not too busy. The only negative that I’d have is that (as a middle aged woman who sleeps HOT) we were unable to adjust the home’s temperature below 68. Ceiling fans and oscillating fans were available which was helpful. Overall would recommend this home and its host and will likely be back in the future!

Our family enjoyed our weekend at Big Blue. It was special because it was my wife's birthday and there was plenty of family with us. We really liked how the 2nd and 3rd floor are duplicates of each other. It's like 2 different apartments , but we had access to both. The kids on the 2nd floor and the adults on the 3rd. Very clean open spaces. The host were responsive and proactive. We hope to make the Willoughby Spit area a regular vacation spot, very lovely.

Space was perfect for us staying as a family of 6. Bedrooms were great and the home offered plenty of space throughout. Awesome backyard, although we did not really use - very close beach access. Had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend!

Beautiful place with modern upgrades. Access to the beach was super close and just a block away. Neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed walking our dog in the nearby park. We look forward to returning.

Very peaceful and fenced in yard was a plus for our small dog. The beach was only a couple of blocks away. House was clean and host was responsive.

From first making the reservation until check-out, responses from the host were immediate and easily understood with all communications. She was open to any ideas that would help improve long-distance travelers, such as adding a safe for valuables and cash. The property and home were beautiful and easily accessible. The neighborhood was friendly. We all had a great time and plan to rent this property again.

We stayed a week at Kerri’s place in Virginia. She went above and beyond our expectations, very communicative and organized. She offered a ton of information and insights before and during our stay. Her place offers a delightful and relaxing getaway experience. The resort's picturesque location by the ocean provides stunning views and a serene atmosphere. I would definitely recommend and revisit Kerri’s place.

Really lovely condo. Nearby lots of restaurants and close drive to aquarium. The view could not be beat and there was a beach rodeo happening during our stay which ended up being perfect due to some colder weather. Would definitely book this place again!

Very helpful and detailed instructions for check in, they responded quickly whenever I had questions and overall the home was very tidy and cozy! Loved every minute.

I loved staying at this AirBNB! Emma was extremely accommodating and responded to any questions that I had extremely quickly! It was a beautiful studio apartment about a 2 minute walk from the beach!

We enjoyed our stay at The Great Escape! Most of our time was spent in the private pool and fishing from the yard into the canal. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We loved how quiet and safe the neighborhood was. The house had all the amenities we needed- it felt like a home away from home. Kim was a great host supplying us with lots of recommendations and was quick to resolve any problems. We hope to visit again in the future!

This is the second time my family has stayed at one of Bonnie’s places and it was fantastic. The house was spacious and the yard was enjoyed by all. The shared pier was a great spot for our teens to take pictures and the shared beach was perfect for the littles to swim and play in the sand. The place gave great beach house vibes at an affordable rate! Views were phenomenal really dug the balcony. Had all the dishes we needed for cooking and the beds were perfect for what we needed!

We had a terrific time at Jimmy’s cottage on the beach. You are just steps away from the water and can settle in right there with beach chairs or walk for miles on a fine sandy beach. There is always a ship or two to watch. The cottage has everything you need and has a great layout for privacy with one bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the house. The cottage is clean, has everything you need for relaxation and if you want, cooking something up. There is outdoor seating, a table and chairs, a grill and a hammock to while away your time in the sunny afternoon. Jimmy is incredibly friendly and responsive to any issues or needs you may have. He even let us check in early the first morning as the cottage was available. The towels and linen are super comfy as are the beds. It’s a great place to unwind and relax. Terrific seafood at Willoughby by the Bay which is just down the road at the end of the Spit. It’s a dive but the food is five star. Jimmy’s cottage is wonderful!

Cette maison est magnifique. Très grande et parfaite pour accueillir deux familles et des enfants. Grande cuisine TRÈS équipée. Nous avons manqué de rien, couvertures serviettes etc disponibles. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des chevaux sauvages directement dans la cour arrière. Vraiment agréable de faire la route dans le sable. On doit bien prévoir les repas/épicerie étant donné qu’il y a un bon 40 minutes de route ! L’hôte répond également rapidement. Nous avons adorés et recommandons sans hésiter.

I’ve been at many Airbnbs all over the world, and Heidi’s Airbnb is the best we’ve stayed at. It wasn’t just the beautiful view… it was all of the thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel more like home. It was very well stocked with quality items. Lots of towels and kitchen items to comfortably live for a few weeks or more. We stayed 24 nights and we were sad to leave. Heidi was always available to resolve any issues that came up. We were there for a stressful competition, and it was a perfect place to recharge. I hope I have the chance to come back. Also breakfast next door and Mexican across the street are so convenient!! I wanted to move there! Thank you Heidi for everything!

Our family Thanksgiving was great! What a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the water!! Just waking up each day with that beautiful sunrise over the water was wonderful to see. What a hidden gem! Everything you possibly have needed was provided in the home. The fireplace was very nice especially on those cold evenings! We can't wait to return! Thank you Brandon for opening up your home to my family. We all felt relaxed & right at home!! Thanks Again Nicholas & Crouch family
