Located in the mountains on a scenic country road near Banner Elk, it’s just 30 minutes from Boone and 40 minutes from Grandfather Mountain. Discover great restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries in Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. Enjoy breathtaking views while hiking and biking in the area. During winter, 4WD or AWD is necessary for snowy mountain roads, with ski resorts just minutes away.

Little Bear Studio/Den is part of a house located at Little Bear Farm, an 8 acre private property with a large yard and field for romping with a dog, sledding, or walking around our pond and fields. Conveniently located near Banner Elk and Valle Crucis, we are close to shopping or the slopes. We are adjacent to 450 acres of forest that is part of the Blue Ridge Conservancy, offering hiking trails to the public. Our backyard is Grandfather Mountain, and Tanawha Trail is within walking distance of the property for hikers. Grandfather Mountain, Price Park, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, wineries and and all of the restaurants of Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk are minutes away. Finish the evening watching stars and chilling on our covered outdoor patio.

Bathroom is only 30 yard walk. Sleeping space for 2 adults only. 1-2 small kids may be allowed with preapproval. AWD/4-wheel drive recommended December-March in case of snow.

Yes, we are open after the hurricane. The loft is separate from our house, privacy assured. Enjoy our friendly chickens, walk in our gardens. Harvest fresh herbs. 12 minutes from Boone. 15 minutes to ASU. Cozy, modern. Fast Internet. Pet free space. Adults only +(infants under 7 mo. Stocked kitchen. If you cook, we ask you to clean up too, and leave the kitchen as you found it. Views of Snake mountain, famous for hang gliding. Trout fishing & 3 nearby ski slopes. All 30 minutes from loft.

The "Hut" in Banner Elk NC

The "Hut" is less than one mile from the red light in downtown Banner Elk. Only a fifteen minute walk or less than two minute drive will put you in the heart of this quaint little town. Less than half a mile to the local brewery and only a ten minute walk to the town park. The owners are on premises and very attentive to the needs of their guests. Those interested in hosting parties should look for other accommodations. Strict no pet policy. The space will only accommodate two guests.

The Alpine A is a solar powered structure on a lean-to roof, built by Gary from the show "Mountain Men" on History Channel. A deck with gas firepit, small grill, a couple folding chairs. Inside is a small living room, kitchenette, toilet room, shower room, queen size bed, twin size bed in the loft, the couch is a futon sleeper. If you've ever wondered what a tiny home is like, now is your chance to experience it in the Alpine A! We are less than 7 minutes from Boone.
