Brady's place was just right clean,comfortable and perfect location for scooting around. My family is from this area and we have visited many times in the past. This is our first airb&b experience and it was perfect. If you haven't visited the Southern Illinois area you should,very peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely stay at this home again. Myself and 3 friends stayed at Denise’s place for a short trip. From beginning to end, she was proactive with instructions and great with communication. If you’re looking for a nice, clean, place to stay in the hills of Shawnee, this one is for you!

Joe’s house was absolutely beautiful and cute! Our stay was equipped with top notch technology and cooking ware that made our experience much more enjoyable. And even provided condiments, seasonings, and medical supplies inside their home. Joe’s instructions were clear and precise. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem to everyone!

I felt right at home….her Airbnb was the perfect fit for me and my family. It was clean and homey. My baby got to crawl around and feel like a lil explorer. When she knew we were traveling with our baby she made sure that we had a high chair and playpen to accompany us while we were there. She had the whole thing set up like home even down to the washer and dryer that was needed because we were in town for a sports competition. I can go on and on but there’s no need. Go ahead and book because she’s def a super host. Can’t wait to book with Bobby again

Thank you so much for hosting my family. It was the perfect area for our family reunion. The cabin was very clean and had everything you could need a more. Marie was very responsive and accommodating with our special circumstances, which was very much appreciated. We hope to return again.

This place is a dream! The roundhouse is not only architecturally stunning but also beautifully styled with clean, minimalist Scandinavian design—think warm wood tones, neutral colors, and cozy textures that make the space feel both elegant and inviting. It was immaculately clean and clearly well cared for. The property itself is a peaceful haven. We loved waking up to views of the pond, relaxing in the jacuzzi under the stars, and spending evenings by the firepit. The BBQ setup made it easy to enjoy meals outside, and every little detail—from lighting to layout—was perfect for unwinding. The host was fantastic: responsive, friendly, and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This is hands-down one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. If you’re looking for a stylish and serene escape, this is the one. Already dreaming of our return visit!

Moonlight Hollow and its perfectly tucked-away, cozy homestead and it’s location…the energy— the experience was such a blessing to be able to share with my partner. Our stay, the camper, fresh produce, herbs, advice, all of it was so healing. Can’t forget to mention the most important part— the plentiful amount of farm animals (of all shapes and sizes) & how each animal is so unique from the next and have the sweetest tempers. Most of all though, we loved the spontaneity. The atmosphere and little events, the hospitality provided to us, honestly… moonlight hollow definitely set the mood(s) for both my gf and I, during our weekend stay. It felt like the exact mini vacation needed —loved that it’s still so close to home, too! Seriously though…Britni & Tony will set you up out there! The outdoor shower, scenery and quiet nights make for an ultimately enjoyable weekend of relaxations. Just the best way to grow, treat and nourish your best self. Thanks, guys! Cannot wait to return.

We absolutely loved this home!! It is beautifully located near the park. Our home had water damage and we were displaced during the holidays. Our children were bummed about not being home for Christmas. We arrived at the home and it was decorated for Christmas! Our kids were ecstatic! We felt at home and the host was amazing! It was the best experience we could have ever imagined. Grateful for this Airbnb find!! Amazing experience!
