Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view of the beach and surrounding area. We got lucky and saw the northern lights! The place was super cozy. Loved the extra effort the hosts put in to make sure we had everything we needed, which included a dog bed, doggy treats and board games. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were a much appreciated bonus. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

This is a really unique stay and I spent a good part of my time there looking out at sea wondering when I would next be able to come back. So that should tell you how much I liked it! It’s at a lighthouse, so as you would expect, it’s at the end of a long road (which is very bumpy in places!). Then you get to the cosy house, with a wood fire, and well stocked kitchen with welcome treats. Alan is very friendly as are the dogs and the chickens! My child loved feeding them every morning. The fresh farm eggs were such a treat. Cantick Head itself is stunning and we loved being in the hot tub and sauna. Note to other guests- all these are wood powered so stock up on firewood before you arrive (you can buy bags at the shop next to the Lyness ferry). My mum took one of the bikes out and we all enjoyed walking the coastline. This is a special stay, don’t hesitate to book!

The Lodge more than met our needs as a base to explore the northern highlands. The many creature comforts helped to make us feel truly at home. The weather was so kind for the time of year allowing us to make full use of the hottub at the end of long days exploring. Our children couldn't get up early enough to "help" feed the neighbouring Highland Coos. We can't wait to come back next year to see how much they have grown.

Stunning location. The ideal get away for peace and quiet. Eimear and Mackie were great hosts and extremely accommodating. Could not fault the lodge, full of thoughtful finishing touches. Will be coming back again in the future. Thanks again. Marc and Gemma

Mike has been a terrific host. All well organized, very responsive, excellent Restaurant recommendations. We loved the Sheila Fleet Kirk Café which is very close by (breakfast, Lunch and early dinner) The little house had all what we needed and was very cozy. Mike offered a fantastic first kit of bread, cheese, milk, Juice, washing power, dish Wasser tab, toilet paper ...Just to name some. Thanks for the great stay Michaela and Helmut.

Our stay at the Steading was wonderful and relaxing, with beautiful views of the coast and a very cozy interior. Jacqui was there to greet us and show us around, which was much appreciated. The Steading is well located for excursions to both the northeast and northwest coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

We loved our stay in Brora. The house was well located with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to all amenities and would highly recommend a trip to Capaldi’s.

Our third stay in this wonderful house . Homely and cosy with a great log burner and everything you need . Stunning views and great access to the beautiful north coast . Bring a head torch if you arrive after dark . Logs are available at Bettyhill cafe and the Wee Shop on the way to Thurso . Can’t recommend highly enough as a great ‘getaway from it all ‘ place to relax and unwind .

What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!

Fantastic stay at Coulview Cottage. Felt like home from home. Love the area and the beach was beautiful. Amenities as described and more - very well equipped.

Lovely cottage/bungalow set in a glorious position. The property is kitted out with everything except your wellingtons and if they knew your size they would probably have organised those as well! Would highly recommend staying in this property, we did not meet the hosts but there is a book that lists their contact details and details about everything else you could possibly need. Hope to visit again in the not too distant future.

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay. The property was meticulously maintained and contemporary in its design. The attention to detail and thoroughness evident in the home and logistical process are commendable. The colourful sunset as well as the mountains provided a stunning backdrop for our stay. On a clear day you can see the Dornoch Bridge and a wee bit of the mountain range north of Ben Wyvis.

I don't even know where to begin with our stay...It was amazing and Joyce was the best host you could ever wish for! Walking in to the croft to freshly baked bread was just absolutely amazing, don't know how she does it but that bread is delicious! The house has everything you could need and more for a stay with lovely little touches. The view, omg that view it's to die for. I could sit out all day looking at the water. House is immaculate!! Genuinely Joys was absolutely amazing with us and went over and above, we cannot thank her enough. Would highly recommend a stay...you won't want to leave

A perfect stay, beautiful home and helpful host!

The Auld Kitchen was a pleasure to return to after a day exploring Orkney. It was clean, tidy, charming, and overall a great experience. And it was a bonus to wake up every day and see the sea. Definitely best enjoyed with a car (or bike, for those more fit than me), although the bus stop is a very short walk away, and the nearby restaurant was extremely convenient. The hosts, Sammy and Neale, were incredibly responsive and gracious. I could not recommend this spot enough.

A lovely, cosy cottage, perfect for what I needed whilst working on the island. Thanks so much for having me stay, I’ll definitely be back!

This was a great stay. The place is modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It’s in a charming little neighborhood in a cute town. We also stopped by Elizabeth and Mark’s farm in Forsinard and got to feed some lambs and meet some highland cows, which was a real treat.

We can only wholeheartedly recommend Ian and Barbara's place. They are wonderful, warm, and extremely helpful hosts. We have spent many holidays in Scotland, and they rank on top of the list. Actually, having them around from the first hour, we felt like being invited into their family. This is perhaps their greatest give to any guest. Thank you, Ian and Barbara.

Louise war eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft hatte einen riesigen Aussenbereich mit Wanderwegen. In der näheren und weiteren Umgebung finden sich zahlreiche schöne Strände.

We had an amazing stay! The owners were so hospitable, and their friendly dog made our visit even more enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking, with sheep grazing peacefully nearby. The house was very cozy and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Highly recommend!

We loved our brief stay in this cosy cottage. Although small, it is thoughtfully kitted out with everything that could be required.
