The Solent : locations de vacances en chambre d'hôtes

Un véritable manoir anglais, ancien presbytère, à la décoration digne de l'époque Victorienne... Et une vue magique sur les bateaux sur l'eau. On se croirait dans Orgueil et Préjugés : chaque objet et pièce est d'une décoration choisie et le jardin foisonne de plantes et arbres. J'ai été accueillie comme en famille par June, qui a ponctué mon séjour de charmantes attentions. Un petit déjeuner digne de Downton Abbey, sur vaisselle d'Angleterre et face au jardin en fleurs m'a même été préparé... Tout est à disposition dans les chambres et même davantage : mini frigo rempli par l'hôte avec attention, gâteaux, thé/café, chaussons, serviettes... J'ai été choyée comme à la maison. Merci encore pour ce séjour féerique !

We really enjoyed our stay. It was only for one night but wished we could stay longer. We had everything we needed. Woke to a nice breakfast and loved spending the morning in the sun admiring the views. Highly recommend.

Was a lovely hotel. Walkable distance to the shops and near a road full of restaurants and bars. A lovely bar within the hotel and breakfast was included ! :)

Absolutely stunning place and spot. Two mins from two pubs. Down lovely quiet lane. The house is amazing. My bed was massive. Tons of room. So so comfy. And the bathroom was amazing too. Miranda could not have been more hospitable. Fabulous host. And she even helped me with my new young rescue dog. Will definitely be back when next on a course. Very comfy. Very welcoming. Lovely home from home. Thank you Miranda and pooches. Also very conscious of on dog owning guests. A real gem.

A lovely homely feel about this house. Close to town yet felt like we were out in the countryside. A relaxing surroundings for a few days of catching up with family. Sophie provided good information, easy access and helpful tips for enjoying Cowes.

My daughter and I spent two nights at Alison’s charming cottage, nestled in the heart of nature – exactly what we were looking for! We booked just two days before arriving, and Alison was incredibly flexible and accommodating. One of the real highlights was the chance to meet and chat with her – such a lovely person: warm, welcoming, and full of great local tips. A special mention must go to the delicious breakfast! It’s a truly lovely spot for anyone who enjoys unfussy travel in beautiful natural surroundings, with plenty of attractions nearby. Thank you Alison for such a peaceful week-end in the New Forest…

We had a fabulous time at this accommodation. The comms were great and the room was perfect for our needs. The host was superb and gave us loads of info about the local area and the island in general. Nothing was too much trouble. The room also has lots of extras and has really been thought about from a guest perspective. The bed is one of the comfiest we have stayed in. Go to the IOW and have a wonderfully relaxing time as we did.

Hosts and their place are terrific in every way! Place is just as described, immaculate, comfortable, cheerful and quiet. We bicycled to New Forest. Bicycled to the port. We look forward to staying here again. Big thanks to hosts!!

Fantastic property, just what we needed for the month. Clean and tidy, property very warm which was a godsend when you have ben outside all day. I would definitely come back again.

Had a great night, a perfect stop when hiking the southdowns way. Janet's bnb was very comfortable and she made an amazing breakfast in the morning.

Lovely room with access to the garden with table & Chairs outside. Had separate shower room and a small area with a mini fridge and workspace which was excellent for our needs. Delicious cereal with fruit, croissants and yoghurts for breakfast which was perfect and tea & coffee. Angela was extremely friendly and helpful showing us the quickest walking route through to the station. Would definitely stay with Angela again in the future.

Darren and Chi made us feel so welcomed in their home. Breakfast was delicious and they were extremely flexible and accommodating. Their home is ideally located adjacent to a stairway leading into Bournemouth Upper Gardens and about a 16 min jog to Bournemouth main pier/beachfront. Perfect if you're looking for a weekend away on the coast!

We had a delightful stay with Clive and Angie. They are very welcoming guests. The room with en suite was perfect for our needs, and made for an affordable weekend visiting the New Forest and Bournemouth. The room was bright and spotlessly clean, with some thoughtful touches. We also enjoyed cereals, fresh fruit, toast and preserves, fresh juice and a good pot of tea for our breakfast. Home from home! The recommendation to visit Friars Cliff on our way home was perfect. Thank you for welcoming us into your home. We would love to visit again.

Lucy’s home is delightful. And the room was fantastic. Roomy, beyond generous amenities such as tea and toaster and more, clean, easy to get to and close to the active town of Petersfield. All in all one of the top Airbnb stays I’ve experienced. I want to return home and make shifts to my Airbnb room based on what I’ve experienced w Lucy.

We loved our stay at Lordington Park for my husband’s birthday weekend. Harriet and the staff were very welcoming and looked after us and our two sausage dogs. The room was beautiful and we loved the gardens, particularly as there were plenty of areas for the dogs to run around and let off some energy. We would highly recommend a visit!

Brian was extremely helpful and friendly! We’ve had to change our check in time a couple of times due to our changing plans and Brian was very accommodating to that! He also had the heating on for us which was a plus! Highly recommend this place!

Perfect place for overnight stay on way back to gatwick. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Continental brekky with fresh fruit hit the spot. Claire was prompt with messages and greeted us on arrival. The nearby pub, recommended by Claire, served quality meals. Highly recommend Claires place.

We arrived late and the path to the house was beautifully lit and easy to find. House and room was cozy warm.
