One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The brothers welcomed us with warm smiles from the minute we stepped on the property. The room was simple and clean with a good bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan and excellent bathroom. The location is amazing as it is a short walk to the city and and touristy area. The natural swimming area was lovely and only a 15 minute walk away. the beach is not even a 5 minute walk away. Guyan (one of the brothers) even came with us surfing one day! A lovely quiet homestay where we felt safe and welcomed. Would definitely recommend!

The accommodation was great and clean and in the centre of the town, near the see. South was nice and helpful.

Sounds of nature has a beautiful secluded feel even though it is a minute walk to the main road and 15 minutes to the main beach area. Breakfast was delicious. Our host gave us good directions which let us find the place on our own without using a tuk tuk and then greeted us with a welcoming presence. He was so helpful about everything from looking around town for the best deals for a whale watching tour to arranging our onward transport and making sure we didnt overpay. The room was clean and cool and the lobby was welcoming. Highly recommended!

Chaminda and his family are truly beautiful. I came as a guest and left as family. They are kind, friendly, attentive and true in their genuine hospitality. The room they have is great and the surroundings are fabulous. 5 mins to beautiful beaches and 20 mins inland to an amazingly peaceful temple set within the jungle. I was lucky to have a group of semi local lads staying near me who work locally on a site and whom were so friendly and welcoming. If you want to experience Sri Lanka and the heart of the people who make this country so beautiful and then stay here, for it is a special place owned by a magical family 🙏

Terrific room close to the beach, and very friendly host who welcomes you with a delicious breakfast each morning. It can get a little too warm in the room on hot days/evenings, but they do have a ceiling fan which helps to offset this a little. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for value on a budget! :)

This awesome house is run by a very sweet family who are easy to communicate with and always do their best to help. The location is in a very green and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful Buddhist temple and green rice fields nearby with lots peacocks (and all kinds of birds) around. I stayed at this house for two months and it has been a delight.

Beautiful and clean b&b. The room was clean, nicely decorated, good AC, it was cleaned every day. Peaceful outdoor space, the garden is beuatifully kept, you can sit on the patio and admire it. They have yoga mats if you want to stretch, beach towels as well. Outdoor kitchen is a nice addition, you can make coffee or tea free of charge or use it to cook, make smothies or anything else. We liked it so much that we extended our stay for 1 night. Breakfast could be more diverse, but nothing to complain as you get a lot of fruit which we liked.

My husband and I stayed at Robinhill for 5 days, and it was absolutely incredible! The location is great — one block away from the beach and 10 minutes or less walking to restaurants. Our room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The pictures do not do this place justice — Robinhill is a dreamy open-air space with a symphony of exotic birds and the aromatic delight of lightly scented plumeria blooms. The outdoor space is luxurious with privacy, comfortable lounge chairs, and a heated pool. Nuwan is a wonderfully hospitable and knowledgeable host and was happy to answer any questions we had about the area and things to do. He also gave us great food recommendations! Thank you for such an amazing stay!!

Nisha is a shining STAR,he's the best host in Sri Lanka, extremely helpful, doing the extra mile to assist you, guest house in a jungle paradise garden,rooms equipped with hot water, air conditioning and all the amenities needed, amazing cleanliness, delicious food made by his family,stunning environment around with the most beautiful beaches in the whole island up to 5 minutes by tuktuk(Nisha's one), nearest beautiful beach one minute walking distance.Book with closed eyes, i will come back!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Der Garten ist einfach traumhaft – ideal zum Entspannen und Genießen der frischen Luft. Renate und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders das Frühstück war hervorragend. Einzige kleine Wermutstropfen waren dass die Hunde in der einen Nacht etwas länger gebellt hatten und dass während unseres Aufenthaltes kein Yoga angeboten wurde. Die Nutzung der Yoga-Fläche war jedoch möglich.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt mit super vielen Tipps und Infos für die Gegend und kommen gerne wieder :)

Shamila is very welcoming and a good host. She had welcome smoothies at our arrival and also made breakfast every day, either toast, pancakes or some Sri Lankan breakfast. The place looks just like the pictures, very clean and nice. There’s also scooter rental possible at her place. You can walk to the closest beach, but have to walk a bit further to come to the nice parts, so I would recommend to rent a scooter to get around easily in town.

Die Unterkunft bei Jasmin ist ein wahrer Traum. Alles war sehr liebevoll und die Terrasse mit der Hängematte wird uns immer im Kopf bleiben. Auch die süßen Hunde, die uns sogar zum Strand begleitet haben und das leckere Frühstück waren wirklich toll. Schönste Unterkunft auf der ganzen Reise. Sehr zu empfehlen!

A destacar que no está cerca de la zona céntrica de mirissa pero es una zona tranquila y se agradece. Está a 10 minutos andando de secret beach lo cual lo hace muy especial y ver los atardeceres desde ahí es una pasada. Están pendientes de que no te falten comodidades yo comi y cené allí todo el día. No hay aire acondicionado en las habitaciones y hace un poco de calor pero no importa porque las vistas son muy bonitas. Gracias volveré

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt hier. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Terrasse ein tolles Plus. Ganz toll war auch das Trinkwasser, das zu Verfügung gestellt wird. Manoj und seine Familie haben uns jeden Morgen ein top Frühstück direkt auf unsere Terrasse serviert. In 2 Minuten ist man am schönen ruhigen Strand, wo man schwimmen und surfen kann. Manoj war jederzeit erreichbar und hat schnell geantwortet und geholfen. Alles wunderbar, hier macht man nichts falsch :)

I had a great stay with my parents at Sumimal resort, the location is great and you can explore Matara as well as Mirissa from this place. It is at a walking distance from the protected turtles beach. The place is clean and it is as it is in the pictures. On arrival fresh coconut water is awesome. I ate at the resort itself, home cooked traditional meal, it was delicious and I am already waiting to plan my stay again whenever I return to Sri Lanka next time. had an amazing experience staying at Bathiya's place! From the moment I arrived, He made me feel incredibly welcome. The space was just as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the food! The dumplings and pancakes served at the property were absolutely delicious—highly recommend trying them. The flavors were incredible, and you can tell they were made with a lot of care. It was such a nice bonus to enjoy home-cooked meals during my stay. Bathiya went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time, offering local tips and being responsive to any questions I had. The location was perfect, with easy access to Beach and restaurants around making it the ideal spot for exploring the area. I truly appreciated Bathiya's hospitality and attention to detail. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area..
