What a beautiful and spacious apartment! An enormous living room, air conditioned, and extremely well equipped with the most glorious view of the ocean. An incredible balcony with seating for eleven and plenty of additional space too. The bedrooms were huge too and well furnished, both ensuite with excellent showers and air conditioning with the main bedroom having doors to the balcony too. Diana came everyday to clean and did such a great job and good grace.

Our family had a fantastic stay - the beach was so close, our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the sunrise/playing card games at the different view points. Highly recommend!

The house is absolutely beautiful, much bigger than in the pictures, very spacious, a nice outdoor eating area, a private sunbathing area just off the bedroom. The place is wonderfully decorated, so fresh and modern, ever detail has obviously been carefully thought of, right down to the aromatherapy hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel (which is locally made, and smells divine). The swimming pool is very well maintained and clean with sunloungers, and lit at night allowing evening swims. The staff team are very informative and always happy to help. The large fan works a treat in the hot temperatures, and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. We were welcomed by lovely home grown coconuts which was a nice treat. The large smart TV with netflix etc was great also. The place is nice are peaceful, a lovely sanctuary. The only downfall is the beach which is walking distance from the home, is not well maintained (not the responsibility of the home owner)

It was a wonderful place to stay and worked really well for our family with young kids. Having access to a good beach and a very nice swimming pool was fantastic. We went during holiday season and the beach would get a bit busy at high tide in the afternoon, but then we had access to the pool. We also really appreciate the no alcohol or smoking policy as it meant there were no late night parties or any unpleasant surprises. Char-Choma restaurant was a nice walk down the beach, had a great playground, and some of the best restaurant food we have had in Kenya so far. Ayan was very responsive to any questions we had and also provided some great recommendations of things to do and places to eat.

We have fallen in love with Watamu, but most especially Doum Palm. We are truly so grateful to have found this beautiful house. We loved everything about it, our kids felt right at home, the walk to the beach was so easy which was great to go back and forth between the pool and sea everyday. A stunning spot, surrounded by beautiful trees, peaceful and quiet. Innocent, Maggie, Rehema & Dan are an absolute joy and made everything about our stay so easy. Innocents food was delicious, with small children, eating out isn’t always easy but we didn’t feel the need with the food that Innocent produced and always went out his way to find us the best fresh sea food! We would not hesitate to come back to Doum Palm and already planning a trip for next year! we look forward to recommending this quaint and peaceful spot to our friends and family. Thank you to the hosts for all the recommendations on places to go, taxis, Tuk Tuk etc. we made great use of it all. We can’t wait to come back!

Surprising luxury in the centre of Mombasa close to Old Town and market, with an amazing view giving a great perspective of the city.

The stay was okay.I loved how quick to response judy was...however some things need to be rectified like the fans in the 2 bedrooms and also a check in the wifi connection.otherwise the stay was good.

Pwani's place is very well known in old town. Although it's close to a few mosques, we really didn't need to keep the window open since he has ceiling fans in strategic locations in the house to keep you cool. The windows and fans drowned out the sounds from outside. We hope with time, they could put some shower glass, that will provide a wholesome experience. We appreciated that his initial messages are very detailed. Being there with young kids and teenagers, the place was just suitable and we appreciated having a Netflix account on the tv. The dining chairs with white cloth were challenges because I was constantly worried the kids might stain them. Those picture frames were just peaceful and calming to look at. We had a wonderful stay.
