Unique living space attached to our covered riding arena. Approx 1500 sf area with plenty of parking in a very rural area close to hiking and swimming or rock climbing at Hanging Rock State Park, and Pilot Knob, as well as floating the Dan River or just relaxing watching the horses play in the paddock, enjoying roasting hot dogs or smores over the fire pit. Private property on our farm with many amenities, including Wi-Fi, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, gym available. Very relaxing place!

There is heat in the cabin! Outdoor shower has been winterized(not available until April 15th, Outhouse bathroom, charcoal grill, & bistro table that provides a wonderful place to unwind! No running water inside, 5gallon jug provided. (No AC/full power without generator. Bring your own or rent one for a small fee)

Our cabin is only 3 miles from Hanging Rock State Park, voted by USA Today as one of the “20 Stunning State Parks Across the USA.” The Dan River (walking distance) is home to kayaking, tubing, fishing, and white-water; and Pilot Mountain State Park is just 20 miles away!

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River.

Just built log home is wheelchair accessible with porch and deck views of Sauratown and Hanging Rock Mountain. Dogs are welcome and there is NO PET FEE! We have seasonal berries and a well-stocked fishing pond. Visit the state parks then come home to catch a breeze on the porch swing, watch fireflies or roast hotdogs at the fire pit.
