Really great location. We were able to walk to the capitol, a great bakery, the Abraham Lincoln Museum and a ghost tour, all downtown, and everywhere else we wanted to go was an easy drive. The neighborhood isn't what you'd call pretty -- it's office buildings, parking lots, apartments, etc. -- but it was quiet and we never felt unsafe. The loudest thing was the train that goes by every so often about four blocks away. I think it's legally required to blow its horn in the middle of the city, but maybe not overnight. You can hear it, but it's not obnoxious. The host was great. We had no problems getting in and out and there was plenty of room for our dog as well.

Sheri is an excellent host! I stayed in the host home for the Christmas holiday. My family from across several states joined together in the home as our first real gathering since my husband passed away the previous year. It was a very happy time for us. There were 11 of us overall and everyone loved the place and felt right at home. I traveled from Nevada. Upon arrival, I found everything I needed to relax and enjoy time with family. During our stay, my dog became very ill. I booked an extra night after our initial time was up. I wanted too make sure my dog was alright and I was rested before the drive ahead of us. Sheri was very flexible in working out the extra night and very attentive to the needs of my dog. She checked up on my dog even after I had arrived back home. I will definitely stay in her home again. I don’t think you can find a better host. Thank you Sheri for making our stay special.

We were in Springfield for a church youth conference at the BOS center. Location was great for the event and restaurants. Everything was clearly marked in kitchen and bathrooms plus the owners having some additional items supplied for use was very helpful! It’s an older home with lots of space for larger groups. Our teens loved the two games in the entryway and the large seating area in the living room was a plus also! Reasonable price for what we received! We had another great stay at Whitt’s End. We find this location to be perfect for family holidays in the area. We love being able to bring our elderly dog with us instead of sending her to a kennel. Thank you!

We immediately felt very comfortable; everything was as described (actually, even better!) and we felt like we were staying at an old friends house. Super clean, with everything needed if you want to prepare your own meals. It was just the two of us, so we had plenty of room. I think it would also be perfect for a small family. We felt safe and the area was quiet and convenient. We spent most of our time in Springfield, which was an easy 30 min drive. We loved being able to come back to Petersburg to relax. Highly recommend this property; the owners were a joy to work with!!

My husband, our dog, my cousin and I stayed for a week to spend Thanksgiving with family in Springfield. We found the location very convenient with quick access (1-2 miles) to downtown and the beautiful Washington Park. This historic home is very charming and cozy, and very well thought out as an Airbnb. Jasmin was friendly and quick to respond to our inquiries. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Our stay was nice. The house allowed us to have a private space to rest. The brick paved road was quaint addition. The colorful lights on porch allowed us to quickly identify house. There's a driveway to park in so that was great to not have to utilize street parking. Easy access to the locations we visited.

A good location for our agility competition at the Illinois State Fairgrounds! Laura was very responsive and while we did incur some problems with the internet wifi Laura was able to get it fixed with Comcast. Very dog-friendly for walking and a highlight is super-friendly next door neighbor Kenny. It's not often that a neighbor enjoys meeting folks using a house for Air BnB! He was a gem. Roku TV is also a plus and access was easy (once I learned to use) through a keypad entry system. All in all a very good visit.
