Had a great stay at Maadathil Cottages. This property is tucked away in a beautiful part of Varkala away from the hustle and bustle but still with easy access to everything. The cottage was spacious and clean with hot water and a great AC. The view of the sea is simply amazing and it’s just steps away from a sort of private enclosed part of the beach. The food was good and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The host is very friendly and responsive too. Would definitely stay here again and totally recommend this place. Thank you Mujahir!

This is a lovely spot off the beaten track but well worth the effort. For you kite surfers….its a super place to learn in the lagoon with an easy option (50m) for more advanced to kite in the beautiful open sea. The vibe is chill and yet everyone seemed to progress quickly. Lovely home cooked evening meals.

This was a lovely stay. Where we stayed matched the pictures and the description on the Airbnb post. The staff were extremely nice to us and responded quickly to any requests we had. The food was great too. Thank you for this stay!

Skandavan is a jewel for who seeks tranquility , peace and beauty . Much loving attention to details and in perfect harmony with the well kept garden . A place to easy get into a meditative mood . And yet by bicycle , motorbike or TukTuk it’s very easy to explore all what Auroville has to offer . The garden is spacious enough to have privacy also when other guests are there . The shared kitchen is another plus . The staff is very friendly and discreet and keeping the place well clean . Rekha and Michael are great hosts . I’ve been very happy there and I am looking forward to visiting again .

Wir wurden in Habarana mit dem Tuc Tuc abgeholt. Wir haben 4 Nächte dort verbracht und uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Vom Balkon aus hat man hat das Gefühl alleine mitten im Wald zu sein, obwohl das nächste Haus nicht weit entfernt steht. Das Konzert des Waldes bei Sonnenaufgang ist unbeschreiblich! Nur für Naturliebhaber geeignet! Gutes Moskito Netz vorhanden. Open Air Dusche im Wald . Die sehr einfache Küche von Marlons Frau kann mit benutzt werden. Wenn die beiden vor Ort sind, können sie auf Wunsch Frühstück und Abendessen zubereiten. Ansonsten ist Selbstversorgung angesagt (ausser die Nachbarn bringen etwas vorbei). Trinkwasser sollte immer genügend mitgebracht werde. Channa und seine Frau schauen auf die Unterkunft, wenn Marlon nicht vor Ort ist, sie sind super freundlich! Channa macht auch Safaris im angrenzenden Nationalpark. Marlon und seine Frau sind extrem herzlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie haben viel zu erzählen und es ist sehr interessant mit ihnen zu sprechen.

This was exactly what we were looking for, a unique stay which was so cozy and nice nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Baga and calangute. Loved how every small thing in the cottage has been taken care of by Sayandip and Tina! The property manger was really helpful and sends you all the local recommendations if you need them. The beach is around 800m away.

We have immensely enjoyed our stay at Daise's place. The farm down the hill from the cottages is a very good trek, the garden around the accommodation is also lovely with diffreent plants, flowers. As we woke up in the morning to the chatter of the birds and the surroundings, we did feel one with nature. Hosts were very warm and welcoming. Food was tasty and the facilities were very good, considering the remote location. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, away from the bustle of town and to be with the nature.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The place was spotless and well-maintained, with a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The view was absolutely stunning—lush greenery all around and direct access to a private lake made it feel like a hidden paradise. It was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind in nature. Best places for a small family 3-4 members - good WiFi and Airtel network - far from crowd but safe and well secured - caretaker was available in the property, so any requests were handled immediately - pool was clean - property had a power backup Overall a great stay and little better that what is described by the host as the room is large enough and the surroundings are great Swiggy delivery was available Would love to stay here on the next revisit

We were a family of four and felt like we were visiting a dear friend. Karthik is a warm, heartfelt host, and his home set amidst serene coffee plantations and birdsong was pure bliss. From sound bath healing session and learning the didgeridoo to enjoying authentic home made Malnad cuisine, it was a truly enriching escape. We had a fantastic time, were offered great hospitality like a family, of course I made a new friend, and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend

It’s a great stay extremely well maintained

Our stay at Bewin's place was absolutely lovely. It's perfect if you're looking to get away for a few days and want somewhere that is quiet and secluded. The view, especially at night of the entire city was absolutely breathtaking, and overall, the place was neat and clean. A few technical points to note about the location: 1) While swiggy and zomato do deliver, it may not be available 24/7, especially at night, which is when most places close, therefore it would be a good idea to order takeaway. 2) The location is a bit far from the city itself (which worked for us, but it may not be great for everyone else) and would require transport to get there. However, there is a natural history museum that can be walked to. Bewin was an excellent host as well, he ensured that he always communicated with us on time, and helped out whenever possible. Overall, a great experience, had a lot of fun.

Amazing place! The location is wayy more beautiful than it's shown here! Extremely private and serene... The cabin itself is very cute. And the food made by the caretaker didi is great!

A wonderful weekend getaway. It's peaceful, unique and calm. You have privacy and can have a good time chilling in the pool. Although since it's in the middle of farmlands, there may be small insects around that are hard to keep out of the water. Aside from that, there's a functional kitchen and everything is accurately described in the listing. Vivek, the host, is proactive - they kept us informed days in advance, discussed the weather, things to do around, and directions to the exact remote spot and were available promptly for all queries. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend reset near Bangalore.

Beautiful place but A.C is required. it got too hot inside the house. some arrangement for drinking water needs to be made.

Our stay was nothing short of magical ! Nestled just 20 meters from the beach, this charming retreat offers direct access through a private gate, making every sunrise and sunset feel even more special. The warm hospitality of Vikram and Ram made our experience truly delightful—they were always ready to assist with a friendly smile. Freeda’s thoughtful recommendations for nearby shacks and shops added a wonderful touch to our trip. She was always in touch and went out of her way to accommodate us an option for late check-out as our flight was at night. If you’re seeking tranquility by the shore, this is the perfect haven. Would surely come back soon. P.S. people living in other cottages are very friendly!

It has a beautiful view, but the house is compact

The place is awesome exactly as shown in the pics. It’s not the place which made our stay amazing, it was the care taker Sivadas who made it memorable. Shivadas is one awesome proactive care taker available 24/7 for any help. Shivadas and wife Lata have excellent culinary skills you don’t have to find any restaurant for any food. From mutton to dosa everything was finger lickingly tasty. This will be our go to place in Ooty. Thank you Nisha and team!!

Amrit is a great host, very kind guy — He helped me plan a nice surprise proposal for my girlfriend.
