In stayed for a long weekend with my family. The house was lovely and perfect for me as the children could play in the conservatory. The garden was lovely and my boys really enjoyed being outside and playing. House was lovely and I would stay again.

An absolute gem of a getaway, perfect place to rest and relax in idyllic countryside surroundings. Very comfy bed and such a cute little place. Wood Fired hot tub made star gazing pretty special. Would definitely book again.

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Home from a 1 night stay with my partner for his birthday and our 1 year old. The cottage is beautiful and so homely. Gorgeous interiors as if from Pinterest. very clean throughout. The hosts kindly accommodated a slightly earlier check in. Cot and linen provided for the baby. The bed is super comfy. Hot tub very clean and private garden is lovely, with a little fish pond which our daughter loved to watch. Ideal location for a relaxed stay with an excellent pub a couple minutes away.

Had a lovely stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The highlight was definitely the hot tub — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Host was responsive and check-in was smooth. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Beautiful little place to stay for a few nights. The hot tub was clean and ready to use. The host was always on hand if we needed them. Very grateful of the cookies and wine we got when we arrived. Good attention to detail for example there was a book with guides on how to use the hot tub, oven, shower and even places to go out for food and supermarket. Very happy! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks x

Corky was the perfect base for walks , runs and relaxation. Our dog was right at home as were we. It is in a stunning location with friendly local pubs within walking distance through beautiful countryside. We hope to be back.

The host messaged us with all the details we needed. There was nothing we needed to ask the host at all due to the very close instructions! Overall great stay, very peaceful and exactly as advertised on the website!

We had to cut our stay short due to a family illness and Sarah was very good to refund our unused nights. Cottage is in beautiful Easton on the Hill which is very close to Stamford. Very cosy and warm and lovely fully enclosed garden for our dogs. Thank you

Would highly recommend . Comfy beds, lovely bathroom. Comfy sofa, dining room and well equipped kitchen. Oh and you can even watch tv in bed if you want. Good location for shops in Oakham. What not to like !

Beautiful Barn, we were 4 staying with our dog, the garden was a great space, the instructions in the folders were easy to follow. It was impecable and clean and decorated very well, loved the exposed beams. the rooms were spacious and it was great to have an onsuite in the room with the double bed. Would happily stay there again.

Moss cottage is perfectly located for all amenities the cottage is extremely cosy and welcoming the kitchen had everything you need Loved the back room for sorting out dog out The bottle of Prosecco biscuits etc were a kind gesture I would definitely recommend Moss cottage to anyone staying around the area

We booked this cottage as it would comfortably accommodate all our family for a long weekend while attending a wedding nearby. Michelle met us at the cottage and showed us around. It was perfect for our needs and Michelle was friendly and helpful. She provided lots of extras like coffee pods, biscuits, a bottle of fizz. We had a lovely stay it and would recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Kathryn was a great host, facilitating a very comfortable stay. Kathryn's communication from booking through to checking out was hugely appreciated. The cottage was idyllically situated with a very restful outlook. It was lovely to be able to sit outside, with a choice of the orchard or overlooking the paddock. The kitchen was probably the best equipped in a holiday home that we have ever experienced. The whole place was spotlessly clean & and the beds were very comfortable. The huge bath towels were luxuriously fluffy ! We could easily return & spend a week visiting even more attractions in the area & exploring the countryside.

We had a superb stay over Christmas. The cottage was really well appointed, snug cosy lounge with iglenook fireplace, very comfortable beds and bedding and wonderful views from front and back. Melissa has thought of everything and made the cottage extremely nice. We hope to return another year.

We had a lovely stay here for the weekend. Our friend's got married at Rutland Hall Hotel, we were only an 8 minute drive away which was very easy, the location for Oakham is great as it's just a very short walk into the few shops there are. Although there are limited options of shops and restaurants in Oakham, this was a great spot as it's only a short drive from Stamford and Uppingham. You're also not far of a drive from Rutland Water which was perfect. The cottage was very clean and the ideal set up for a weekend, we would definitely recommend it.

It was a really lovely cottage, the underfloor heating was a luxury to have and the bathroom very nice. The beds could do with updating as the springs made a lot of noise. The location for the purpose of our stay, attending a wedding at the village hall couldn’t have been more convenient. Thank you for having us in your gorgeous home

We had a great stay. Everything was as described on the website and in the photo's. Lovely quiet location, ideal area for quiet walks and exploring the local market towns. The house had good facilities, plenty of crockery, towels etc and a nice homely feel. Having two sitting rooms was a bonus. We went in winter and enjoyed the open fires too. Definitely recommend.

A perfectly peaceful escape each evening whilst we were working long days at an event nearby. Thanks Katie for being such a wonderful and helpful host!

Georgiana and Simon’s place was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and private. And the underfloor heating made it cozy and warm on the cold mornings and nights. Georgiana was very responsive and knowledgeable about the area, along with making recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We highly recommend.

Characterful property in great location for central Stamford and Burghley House. Highly recommend restaurant at Stamford Garden Centre for lovely meals and fabulous takeaway cakes.

This was our second stay at The Stables, and it was just as blissful as the first. It was the perfect place to hunker down for a few days of doing nothing in between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve … the holy grail of cosy and spacious, so thoughtfully appointed, high ceilings with rain battering on the roof, squishy velvet sofa by the Christmas tree, and of course Geoff’s home-made ice cream. Hard to convey just how special this place is. Plus a walk around the village at dusk with tree lights twinkling from every window made us fall in love with this little corner of the world even more. Once again … we’ll be back!
