The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

What a tremendous place to stay! This is certainly a magic spot and for 80% of the time the weather was accommodating and gave us the opportunity to explore this part of the coastline. The diving in the bay itself is on the average side unless you like Kina and there are few fish inshore but the visibility is good and boat fishing pretty phenomenal. The house is immaculate, spacious, warm and includes many things you would not expect from short term accommodation. We were even able to bake to cake! Barry's communication was top notch and they really went the extra mile to make sure we got the most enjoyment out of our trip. Hard to fault a thing. Thanks again- will definitely be back again- hopefully with a boat!!

Thank you for sharing your space with us. My family of 5 stayed two nights, wish we had stayed a little longer. Beautiful views where we stayed in the caravan and tent. Affordable for our little family and had all the amenities we needed. Wonderful hosts and very accommodating to our needs. We will visit again. All the best! Fa'afetai tele lava. One of the Best Airbnb Experiences Ever! Our stay in Russell was absolutely unforgettable — this is hands down one of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. The property itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained spaces and super comfortable beds and living areas. But what really sets this place apart are the incredible outdoor features. The backyard opens directly onto the beach, creating the most amazing setting. With kayaks and a dinghy available to use, plus a trampoline, swings, volleyball net, and even a slackline, there's something for everyone — you could easily spend your entire stay without ever leaving the property! And after a day of exploring the water, soaking in the outdoor spa while watching the sunset is pure magic. Honestly, the photos in the listing don’t even come close to showing how special this place is. It exceeded every expectation, and we would rebook it in a heartbeat. Already hoping we can come back soon!

Loved our stay - beautiful spot, extremely clean and a nice touch with the eggs and honey from the farm. Lynley and Michael are also lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to be back soon.

Dank der guten Wegbeschreibung mussten wir nicht lange suchen, das Haus liegt wirklich etwas versteckt und selbst das Navi kannte nicht den richtigen Weg :) Es ist alles wie beschrieben, eine unglaublich schöne Lage, wir haben den direkten Strandzugang und den tollen Ausblick täglich beim Kochen und Essen genossen. Es ist alles sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet aber völlig ausreichend, alles Notwendige ist da und funktioniert. Auch die Mappe mit Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber auch Notfallnummern und Evakuierungswegen bei Tsunami fanden wir vorbildlich. Das Fehlen des WLAN haben wir unterschätzt, es hätte uns den Alltag und die Kommunikation in die Heimat sehr erleichtert. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt - jederzeit wieder.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

Loved our stay! Location was perfect for our stay. Directly across from the Marina where we had activities. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. And super close to grocery stores as well. The apartment was comfortable and very clean. Thanks for a great stay.

This was such an incredible retreat spot! Very secluded, with one of the most breathtaking views of Te Ngaere Bay! Our favorite part was the open-air option to enjoy cooking & dining inside while being outside. Very clean, modern & incredible espresso machine to enjoy cappuccinos with the epic sunrise! We also found it nice to have your own trail down to the beach & private plunge pool. Be prepared for a climb back up for some good exercise! Worth it… especially when you can take a nice cold (or hot) outdoor shower! Great communication & care from Kas & Rhys- they are awesome hosts!

Wow, we have truly enjoyed staying at Clive’s beautiful home, located on a gorgeous beach. The location was phenomenal, steps away from the beach with amazing views of the water and sunsets. The home is equipped with all the necessities, very spacious yet cozy, the floor to ceiling windows provide the best views from the living room and kitchen. We are already looking forward to coming back, we had such a wonderful experience.

Unique location above the marina. It was great to spend time on the deck watching the comings and goings of all the boats. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Marina Cafe across the carpark had great meals that we ate there two nights in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

A great place to stay and a wonderful price of paradise! We stayed the weekend and were completely rained out... and still enjoyed our luxury escape and that's saying a lot.

Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

An absolute dream house! Stunning apartment with a gorgeous view. You definitely feel like spending a holiday with style :) Breakfast at Seaside restaurant are mind blowing! Best coffee in town. Plus! You get a discount :) We had the best time there. Will definitely recommend and we will repeat! Thanks!

Blown away by location and beautifully presented home, complete with all the bells and whisltes. Loved that we had access to plenty of beach toys, games and books. Did not need a thing. Felt right at home after travelling 800kms. Perfect size for a big whanau who love the beach. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning.

Veronica was wonderful, even brought a jacket back to Auckland for us that we had accidentally left behind. We had a great stay, thanks so much.
