Gardener's Cottage with Stunning Views

Situated in woodland and fields is a small c18th farm with a beautiful light open-plan Cottage and spectacular views of National Trust Gibside and the Column to Liberty. Wild swimming, cycling and endless walks lie just beyond its gate. One of five dwellings, the Cottage has a private entrance and exclusive use of a small south-facing garden. Night skies are spectacular and often punctuated with calling owls and the rustle of hedgehogs & badgers. Bird spotting and fishing is another delight.

Mains Cottage on Vindomora Roman Fort

Mains Cottage is a former milk house that occupies a spot in the centre of Vindomora Roman Fort. The cottage is in the heart of beautiful Ebchester Village and has impressive views of the village and the Derwent Valley. Mains Cottage should provide everything guests need to get a feel for just what the North East of England has to offer. Fans of the TV Series Vera will love the rugged outdoor wilderness, splendid market towns as well as the fine beaches and the warm friendly welcome.

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

Low Moss Cottage. A cute and cosy, recently renovated, totally off-grid holiday cottage with dramatic and stunning views of Weardale. On a hill away from other houses and distractions, this 18th century cottage is the perfect place to gaze into the dark skies while cuddled up by the fire, or soak in the window side bath. This little oasis of green is in a super handy location on the edge of the greenbelt, yet near the Team Valley, Metrocentre and Newcastle. There's a bus stop directly outside, with buses into central Newcastle every 30min in the day. Watergate Forest Park is right next door, with a fantastic cafe, lake, swans & lots of other wildlife. We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.

Elmhurst - stylish, stone built, renovated, self catering holiday cottage in the village of Ovingham on the north bank of the River Tyne. The cottage sleeps four people comfortably in two double bedrooms. Ground floor - comprised of a dining kitchen with all necessary amenities and a living room with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. South facing front garden and secluded gravel courtyard area with flower beds to the rear.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS NOT SUITED FOR A ROMANTIC/ PASSIONATE NIGHT AWAY BUT FOR GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.

The Annexe is self contained at the rear of Pontop Hall with its own single parking space. The Hall is a grade 2* Listed Building, built as early as 1600. Recently restored the property has all the modern comforts you would expect in a home. You can enjoy a tranquil environment with some excellent walks on your doorstep and in the local area.
