We enjoyed our short stay. Got to visit friends and family. Loved the Hudson River view along with barges on the river. Watching the freight train on other side of the river. Plus local train on our side View of Bear Mountain. Peace quiet loved the privilege of not having a town, therefore no noise. Short commutes to nearby villages Laura ‘s uncle greeted us upon arrival and was super friendly also pointed out Eagle nest with her2 babies. We would differently visit again.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the lake house. The interior felt welcoming and homey, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting of the lake house. There were nice views down to the lake, and we really liked the layout of the bedrooms which were separated nicely for privacy from each other, while being close enough for the kids. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of toiletries. The kids were delighted to climb the ladder to the loft and spent plenty of time up there. The kitchen was well stocked, with probably more pans and gadgets than we have at home. Appreciated the s'mores kit, which the kids toasted up. We enjoyed the outdoor fire, which had plenty of seating and a nice supply of wood. The highlight was definitely the time we spent on the lake. We got out in the pedal boat and kayaks. The kids enjoyed exploring a deserted island and watching some lake wildlife as we spent time on the water. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Breathtaking Views, Cozy Cabin - A Perfect Getaway. From the moment we arrived at lazy river , we were blown away. The views were absolutely incredible! Waking up to the Delaware river and the winter views, the sunrise over the mountains, was truly magical. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchen, a fireplace, a comfortable bed. We especially loved the deck views of the river, with driving distance to beautiful views like high point and surrounding hills only minutes away, the fire pit outside and the fire place inside, can't forget the good collection of record players. David was a fantastic host. They were very responsive, helpful with local tips, and ensured we had everything we needed. We felt very welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway with stunning scenery.

My experience was beyond amazing. Nikki was thoughtful, accommodating, and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Situated in a beautiful area of Lake Ariel, the house had everything and more in terms of amenities. I would recommend this house to any and everyone looking for a fun and peaceful trip to Lake Ariel!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

The hosts were amazing; very responsive. The home itself was very clean and had everything you could want, including board games for the family. Didn't get a chance to use the hot tub unfortunately, but they had it turned on and ready for our stay. This is a very nice home with great hosts!

This is a gorgeous guest house with a lovely view of the lake. Didn’t get to try the sauna but appreciated that it was available all hours. Shower and bed were nice! We traveled here on bike while going from Poughkeepsie to NYC on the Empire State Trail. The house is close to the trail and they gave us good bike directions. Great place to stop to split up the 100 mile journey - right in the middle!

My husband and I spent our wedding night and the first part of our honeymoon at Julius’s tiny home, and we could NOT have made a better decision! It was such a beautiful and peaceful experience. It is close many local restaurants and places that we hold dear such as “Heaven’s Embrace” by Eternal Flame of Hope Ministires. The direct river assess provided breathtaking views both day and night, and my husband even caught a glimpse of a bald eagle catching a fish! The home itself was adorable and just the right size for the two of us! We loved spending time outside by the fire while listening to the river. Julius was so very kind and informative throughout our entire experience! We truly can not recommend his tiny home enough, or any of his other properties which I hear are just as beautiful as well! The only “issue” that I believe has been noted before is that the water smells at times; however, it wasn’t a huge problem for us, and would definitely NOT stop us from booking again! ?

We had a few families go in together on the house. We went tubing at Shawnee and had group dinner at the house. We enjoyed the hot tub and stared at the frozen, snow covered lake. It was a great weekend and a good place to hunker down for the weekend.

We had such a perfect stay at Camp Chicory. I’d traveled there along with three old friends, and it was a wonderful spot to spend time in and reconnect. We had grand plans to take advantage of outdoor winter adventures in the Poconos, but when the weather was uncooperative, we were more than happy to just stay inside all day instead! The kitchen has everything you’d need for lots of cooking, with a cute mug collection to enjoy that hot chocolate bar. The shower pressure was magical, and the beds were super comfortable. Oh how we loved the eclectic record collection, and only wished we’d had time to enjoy more of it! But truly, the MVP of our weekend was the wood burning stove, which provided the perfect cozy atmosphere to enjoy quality time with friends. Moira and her team were top notch communicators, both before and during our stay — always available with a quick response to answer our questions. Believe the reviews — you won’t be disappointed. I wish I were back there right now!

We had a wonderful stay at David’s place in Long Pond! The house was beautifully updated, very comfortable, and had plenty of space for our group—two kids under 10, and four adults (parents and grandparents). The highlight was definitely the stunning lake view with a small private beach and access to paddle boats, kayaks, canoe, and a dock—perfect for both quiet mornings and family fun. The backyard was incredibly picturesque, surrounded by beautiful foliage that made it feel like a private retreat. We really appreciated thoughtful touches like the shed stocked with life vests and beach toys, as well as the outdoor fire stove. Inside, the game room was a hit—especially the Nintendo 64 and air hockey table, which kept everyone entertained. We couldn’t have asked for a better spring break getaway. Thanks, David, for being a great and communicative host!

Beautiful lakefront home with rustic charm. Michael was very responsive to our questions and the lake was beautiful to wake up to. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at Poke A Nose Inn — the perfect getaway from the hustle of daily life. The Hideout offered plenty of fun activities, and the peaceful atmosphere made it extra special. We’d love to come back in the fall!

I was initially unsure of Christopher’s place because of a couple of negative reviews. I reached out to enquire about the conditions of the place, per those negative reviews. Christopher explained and assured me. I’m so glad I discounted those reviews because Christopher’s place turned out to be such a gem. Christopher’s place is just right for a small family — ours was a party of 3 adults — and has everything you’ll need. Every room has a separate airconditioner unit, though we did not need to turn that on. The kitchen is well equipped, though we only used it for having snacks and on our last day, some grilled cheese sandwiches. The two bed rooms are suitably sized and the beds are comfy. If youre a light sleeper, the front bedroom might be a tad noisy from the road just outside. During our stay, we could hear cars passing by during morning and evening hours. For anyone looking to spend some relaxing time by the beach, this is the place. Don’t believe the negative reviews here.

The house was beautiful. Full of amenities we were not aware of before we left so we definitely overpacked. Paul provided everything needed. Spotless and spacious, easy walk to the beach and town. Great porches. And a lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

The Loft at 196 is not only in a pristine location, but is hosted by two great and friendly people. Marisol greeted me as I first arrived and was very willing to help me get set in, if I required. I met Charles later and contacted him more than once about recommendations. After discovering I had an interest in mountain biking, he did not only recommend a place nearby, but provided me the bike and all the required gear to do so. He contacted restaurants nearby on my behalf and gave me updates about local events. There was no pressure to go to things I didn't care for, but all the opportunity to do so. Opportunity that I would not have had on my own. Lastly, the beach was amazing. I grew up going to the forearm of Cape Cod where we would always have strong waves and good sandbars at low tide. I found both of these again at Sea Bright. The only difference was that at The Loft, I was less than a minute away from the beach whenever I felt like going. Thank you again, Charlie and Marisol.

This was a wonderful place to stay with my family. It’s only 20 minutes from the ferry if you’re planning to go to New York. The location is surrounded by all the stores you could possibly need. The yard is enormous, which was a pleasant surprise. Although it’s too cold to go swimming, the beach is within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful location with a beautiful view of the lake. The house was clean and cozy, and the hot tub was awesome!
