Homely corner for exploring the local area, thank you Roddy and Mrs Roddy (and Winston the Labrador!) for a comfortable stay. A friendly welcome, and the breakfast things and snacks were a nice touch.

My son and I had a wonderful stay at Penny’s house. She and her husband are amazingly friendly hosts and they did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The house is full of character and feels very homely. It’s got everything you need, nice bed, kitchenette and a comfy sofa. We found it easy to walk into town or catch the bus at the end of the road. All in all we had a great time and hope to be back one day!

Great value for money accommodation in a quiet rural location but close enough to pubs and public transport. Good location for exploring the wider area by car, bicycle or train.

We had a lovely stay here, we were attending a wedding and so didn’t get to make the most of the beautiful location. The annex is separate to the main house, is exceptionally clean, access to the garden was via large bi fold doors to the back with a lovely garden and scenery to enjoy a morning coffee. Arrived to the log burner lit and the house ready for us. Tea/coffee and fresh milk had been left which was gratefully received. The kitchen well stocked for cooking and everywhere clean and tidy. Hosts were so friendly and great at communicating quickly, next time we are travelling in the area would definitely stay here. Can recommend in the summer for the peace of countryside with a pub a short walk away, or a cosy retreat in the winter.

All good! Suited our needs very well. Lovely quiet location. Alison was a very responsive, flexible host, and we particularly appreciated the welcome pack. The younger ones loved the games selection!

If I could give Wendy and her home a 10 star review I would. A fabulous time was had by all and my children are already asking me when can we come back! Great location, fantastic interaction with the farm, super friendly welcoming host and a beautiful home! We will definitely be back!

Paul and Helens Airbnb is a beautiful pocket of peace in the heart of Chelmsford. It is an impeccably clean and generous space offering comfort and luxury with attention to detail (comfortable bed, luxury rain shower, mini fridge with fresh milk, beautiful toiletries, etc ). It is designed for the more discerning guests who are seeking a comfortable base with excellent facilities, own front door, and within walking distance of the town. Paul and Helen are professional, kind and accessable (if needed), however mindful and respectful of their guests space. During my stay, my elderly however loyal car refused to start so I called AA and messaged Paul to seek his.permission for the AA to access the driveway and apologised for interrupting their Sunday morning. Paul agreed the 17 year old battery looked rather fed up and made me a coffee while waiting for the mechanic who ordered a replacement! Thank you so much for the beautiful space to rest and re while visiting elderly parents.

The Pavilion was comfortable and well equipped, close to some beautiful walks and many excellent pubs. Liz was a very responsive host and to be met with milk, bread, butter, eggs, marmalade etc - all you needed for breakfast - was much appreciated. The beautiful bunch of daffodils was also a lovely touch. We had a great weekend and thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Curlew Retreat is a lovely garden cabin which had everything that I needed. The location is peaceful with lovely views, and it was great to have my own entrance and off-street parking. Iain was helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for me to visit Cavenham Heath, RSPB Lakenheath Fen and Norfolk Wildlife Trust Weeting Heath, and I would definitely rebook if in the area.

Very impressed with accommodation, and also very helpful with the area also, never seen such a clean property and they left us some food supplies to get us going. the ergonomics are well thought out, housed four of us no issue. couldn't be happier especially with such short notice. worth it!

We hebben een fijne kerstvakantie gehad in het huisje van Susan. Gezellige woon- en eetkamer, lekkere en schone bedden en voor de kinderen was het leuk om in de garage tafelvoetbal te spelen. Vriendelijke, behulpzame host. In de omgeving zijn verschillende mogelijkheden voor leuke uitstapjes.

My stay at Kingfisher Lodge was the perfect weekend escape for me and my little staffy Freya, the properties garden is wonderful, great fun to explore and a perfect suntrap to indulge in a good book! The accommodation was clean and cosy with everything needed to relax and feel at home, with added goodies including bread, butter, eggs, jam, milk, tea, coffee, a fruit bowl and wine/beer. I slept great, the mattress was super comfy and the location is peaceful and quiet whilst being 10 mins drive from the lovely town of Bury St Edmonds and a 2 min walk from Norton Park which is a must if you're staying with a dog, it's a lovely walk with woods, a river and even a maze to enjoy. The host was friendly and accommodating and made our stay the best it could be, as did his lovely little dog Georgia. Would happily revisit. 5 stars all round.

Dallas was a perfect host. My room was clean and fresh and the little touches like cereal and treats was lovely. I have no problem recommending people to stay here.

We were attending a function nearby, needed somewhere to stay, it fitted the bill exactly, minutes from the venue. Very comfortable, quiet location. I'm sure I'll be back!

There is a reason Rob is a super host. Not only are the accommodations absolutely perfect, your hosts are amazing people! Do yourself a favor and select Rob’s place to stay when you are in the area. You’ll be happy you did! We will definitely stay here again, when we return.

We can't thank enough to Lucy about easy check-in/checkout and all the support she provided during our long stay. It will be hard to forget fresh eggs from Rosie's hens. Best host ever !

The property is exactly as described. The hosts - Tony and Masha - are very helpful and friendly. They also gave us lots of recommendations on local restaurants which we would never find by ourselves. Location is perfect - near the beach. We have enjoyed our stay here. We highly recommend it.

This is the third time we have stayed at Thomas’s place and we had had another great experience. It is a lovely property in the heart of the countryside with excellent facilities.

Highly recommended, clean, tidy and comfortable. Good communication with host. Kitchen is, as everyone described, big and impressive. As I was using it as base for work, unfortunately, I didn’t get chance to use it to its full. Would look to book again if I am working in the area.

Great place to stay. Great friendly hosts. Everything we needed for our stay. Loved the decking area that looked over the lake. Stunning view. Prefect location for us as had a wedding at Gosfield Hall.
