Amazing stay for a 30th family celebration. The sun was shining so we spent most our time at the house on the terrace! Perfect location with the surrounding scenery. We had a slight issue with the hot tub room, due to previous guests. But this was quickly resolved! Can’t fault the hosts or the house. Would definitely love to return for another celebration in the future one day! Thanks again

Brilliant little home, clean & really comfy beds. Was a perfect location for us to attend a friend’s wedding less than 10 minutes down the road. Even the little touches of a biscuit/jam basket and a little bottle of milk so we could have a coffee as soon as we checked in. Amazing. Thanks so much Joanne, perfect get away for us.

A beautiful, quirky cottage that was ideally suited. Very close to Newmillerdam and its restaurants and pubs. More suited to shorter guests below 5 foot 8 as the door frames, mirrors and shower are all pretty low. Beautifully decorated and very clean.

A great place for an escape while being close enough to Coniston village for convenience. Will and Gile were extremely proactive with all their communications to the point that I barely had to enquire about anything on the lead up to our stay. The cottage may look small but once you enter there's plenty of nooks and space for a big group and the garden outside is full of surprises and is well kept. The private parking spot was very useful and was easy to get to. We had a lovely stay and definitely would recommend. It's always a good sign when you are sad to leave upon checking out.

Elizabeth was very responsive and replied all our questions very fast. It was easy to communicate.We arrived late in the evening and she left for us a good coffee,a bottle of Prosecco,bread, milk and fresh organic eggs. It was great to find it after a long day of driving. It helped us with the dinner and the breakfast next day.the house is very beautifully designed,the kitchen had everything you can need to prepare meals (we prepared our meal twice a day in the house, so it was important to us).the bathrooms and the linens were clean. The only thing that was missing,on my opinion, is a shampoo.Elizabeth also left a detergent and the tablets for a dishwasher. The surroundings are amazing and are in a walking distance.Thank you,Lizzie, for a great experience in your house!

A fantastic base in the heart of Bowness on Windermere to explore the area. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay we didn't have to use the car at all. A great stay thank you!

We spent a lovely few days at the cottage in Coniston. It is ideally situated for visiting lots of very interesting and beautiful places, Holehird Gardens and Brantwood House to name but two. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and exactly as advertised. Sue and Brad were very quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Swallow's Loft, in the beautiful village of Far Sawrey, for 3 nights. We absolutely loved the area and Louise's place is ideally situated. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and cosy and Louise provided everything we could need. Louise was very friendly and messaged a few times to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

This is a charming apartment, in a wonderful location right in the heart of the town. Ideal for the 4 of us. Also having a parking permit for local car parking is a great bonus for this property.

Simon's flat is beautiful, clean and well kept! The surrounding area is idyllic. It was perfect for our stay within easy reach to Lark Lane and lovely park walks on the doorstep. Simon greeted us on arrival and had detailed written instructions / information to make our stay run smoothly. We would love to come and stay again! Thank you.

Great apartment, perfect for what we needed. We parked outside to unpack in the 1 hour free parking spaces then took the car to the local carpark where we left it for 3 days. The apartment is in a good location.

Sharon's place is fab really good location with easy parking. if you want to explore Wasdale then it is perfect location. The flat is well set up, warm and with fab views of the fells. The lake beaches are 5 mins away by car or a bit longer by foot. The wildlife is super loads of birds. Wasdale head is a bit further and easy access to Scarfell, Great Gable and styhead pass over to Borrowdale. There is a small shop with essentials and some walking gear at Wasdale head, plus a pub with good local Ale. I can also recommend the Alpaca trekking at Wasdale Alpacas. We have loads still to explore in Wasdale so will hopefully return.

Lovely place which had everything we needed. We have an anxious and reactive dog but this place was just perfect. It was safe with a contained garden. Owners responsive and accommodating.

It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a comfortable and practical home away from home. Highly recommend for a peaceful and well-equipped Lake District getaway!

A gorgeous bolt hole for three weeks of blissful walks and peace. The private access to the lake was great for us as swimmers; easy to get home and warm up! I really liked the laundry room after our walks - could was and dry clothes really easily. Comfortable bed, kitchen perfect for self catering and relaxing sofa and tv and bath at the end of the day.

Fantastic place to stay. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Easy to find with clear instructions including some local walks sent by Andy before our stay. The view from the terraced garden over the canal was fantastic. Really peaceful place to stay. We will definitely be back again!

Clare Cottage is a well equipped, very comfortable and brilliantly located base for spending time in the Lake District. If anything it surpassed our expectations and I would happily return there again in the future.
