Beautiful home, well maintained. Host was very proactive and even let us know that the area the home was had a power outage prior to our arrival which fortunately resolved by the time we arrived. Pool was a great temperature for dipping into after laying in the sun. Spacious living area. We would happily stay there again.

We chose this property because of the close proximity to the ocean. There is no beach but you can definitely hear the waves crashing and it was very tropical. Besides the house next door, it is very private. Plenty of kitchen appliances, plateware, and silverware. The neighbors were friendly, including their dog. Overall, we had a great stay would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for peaceful, quiet time on the island.

This is a lovely quiet location close to Hilo and Volcano NP. We loved having the pool and the amenities of a well thought out home.

We had a wonderful time staying at this well appointed home across from the ocean. We spent a long weekend here with our three littles and found that the house really had something for everyone - we loved the super comfy bed in the master bedroom and our kids had a blast swimming in the pool (which was even a perfect temp!) Lovely to find a place that feels like a getaway but has things like food, groceries and sites still close by

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

I am 1 completely enamored by the land,2 extremely grateful for Jacklynn and her beautiful energy. I am a 29 year woman and this was a solo trip. Although I was in the middle of the rainforest I never felt alone. Jacklynn gave the perfect balance of space & independence but also was very helpful and hands on when requested. She was very knowledgeable on the land and even took me on the trail walk when I was too nervous to go alone. Hearing the frogs at night was a unique experience. The rainbow cottage was perfect for me by myself but had enough space to fit 4 people comfortably. This was the best experience I’ve had traveling and I WILL BE BACK. Thank you Jacklynn for EVERYTHING! I also got an hour long massage down the road with Sid! I’d highly recommend the experience of her personally but also her services. Thank you!!

Incredible ocean views with direct access to the magnificent cliffs overlooking the crashing waves along the rocky coast. If you have young children, then stick with their heated pool and water toys in the garage or drive over to area beaches. House and its porches have wonderful ocean views and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen has extensive cookware and plenty of space. Beach towels are provided in the pantry. Spectacular place that we recommend wholeheartedly.

We are very happy with our stay, and sad to leave it. This is a BIG rental (2000sf? 2500sf?) at a very fair price. For our family of 5, this was more than enough space and we probably could have fit another family in here with us. The place is in very good shape, clean, and has the just-right combination of amenities to comfortably enjoy the rainforest climate. That said, don’t book this place if what you want is an air-conditioned condo - there’s no A/C and the charm of this place is leaving every window open, listening to the rain (showers pass through every day, then clear blue skies), and being serenaded to bed by the sounds of the surf (just across the street) and peeping frogs. We also LOVED how quiet it is here (surf and frog sounds, not planes or road noise), but that does come at a cost - expect to drive about 15 miles to just about anything, including pretty heavy traffic once you leave the neighborhood on route 130. For us this was a fine trade and I’d recommend it 100%

Had a really enjoyable few days stay at the house. This is clearly a house with lots of love, history and almost feels like you're staying with family. Lots of character and very traditionally furnished with unique furniture, artwork ect. Very much suits someone looking for a true Hawaiian experience off the tourist trail. The outdoor area is beautiful and the view is incredible. The hot tub is a nice addition and great for star gazing at night. The kitchen is well equipped with all cooking equipment you would need and the bbq outside was a great. We were slightly worried about the lack of a/c but as the sun goes down, you get a lovely cool sea breeze throughout and we wouldn't have needed it anyway. There is loads of wildlife around the house and area, very pieceful. Thank you

The pictures of this house do not do it justice. The entire property is incredibly lush and tropical, we felt like we were on our own private island. I could have stayed at the house for our entire trip and would have been happy!

We came to Big Island to enjoy calm and recharge. Eliot's place offers just like that as his house is spacious and plenty of space between properties with peaceful surroundings. because the home sits in a large ground in suburb of Hilo. Downtown Pahoa is close so you can dine out and get shopping done easily if you want. Eliot is kind and smart owner to take care of home and our needs. He was always responsive and come back with a solution for our questions.

My family and I absolutely loved Suzy's place. Suzy was very responsive and such an amazing host. We will definitely be back for sure!!! 😊

What a great place! The place had an ocean view and the yard was beautifully landscaped. The kitchen had everything a person could want, even spices except for cinnamon and nutmeg. The new shopping center in Pahoa is great, too. We especially liked the health food market in Pahoa. The prices were more reasonable than at the regular market and had wonderful staff! We will definitely stay again whwn we return in a couple of years!!

Beautiful place, looked just like the pictures! Peaceful and quiet, all the furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. They provided nice touches throughout to make you feel at home.

This place was totally awesome! It was so beautiful and peaceful! We slept so well! The house was well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Denise and Brian are the best hosts, making sure we had everything we need. Itineraries were provided so we were never bored. We will definitely be back for a stay in the beautiful rainforest on the Big Island! 🏝️

Great fit for our laid back group, a serene slice of heaven in Puna Palisades neighborhood. Karan communicated routinely with helpful information for outside visitors. Renters should be aware that check in process is different than AirBnB messages -- there is no code emailed, rather check in direct with owners. All good :-)

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was like sleeping in a treehouse! Ocean views, beautiful sunrises, frogs singing at night, and so many stars. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful with local tips. It was a magical stay!

Jonathan is an awesome host! Our stay had some hiccups but he was quick to respond and correct the issues that we encountered. We were grateful for his kindness and willingness to provide solutions. Our family loved the private location and peaceful surroundings and it was a quick 15 minute drive down the hill to Hilo town. We hope to stay here again!

Mahalo for a wonderful and peaceful stay near VNP! We loved the decor and all the extra touches, well stocked kitchen, for cooking needs, coffee/tea/creamer, and cleaning supplies. Everything was exceptionally pristine. We so appreciated the early morning alert of the erupting Kīlauea volcano. It was a perfect finale to our stay!

We enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and homey. We loved having the 3rd bathroom for showers. The house was big enough to entertain family from the island. Enjoyed it and would book again!
