We really enjoyed Alix’s cottage! It was clean, cozy, and in a great location - making it a great base for visiting the nearby National and State parks, and the beach. Alix was a great communicator. We hope to stay again someday.

Awesome place to stay; great cabin in the woods!

Is it fancy? No. But it is reasonably priced, in a convenient location, has a great hot tub, and a wonderful host.

This house was in pristine condition. Everything worked perfectly. There were instructions on everything that needed used that were super helpful. We had two days of ridiculous weather that house trapped us and Sea Renity Palms had so much to do. All of us (2 teen boys included) loved the stay. I have used vacation rentals a lot, and never felt strongly about going back to any place, this one is different. If we are going back to Crescent City (we will), I will most definitely book with Patty again.

it was a fantastic place to stay. enjoyed the scenery and was only 30 mins from some wine tasting and easy to get to, will definitely stay here again!!

Pauline was an incredible host who goes well out of her way to ensure your stay is perfect. The place is in a beautiful location. We had an incredible time and would definitely come back!

The Redwood Cottage was a perfect peaceful retreat for us and our pups. The fully fenced in back yard allowed us to relax in the hot tub while our pups played safely. The cabin was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for exploring the redwoods and everything else the area has to offer. Linda was great and always very responsive. They even provided a detailed book of all the special places to visit in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place right on the water, can hear the waves and enjoy the views and sunsets. Dana was super nice and always helpful, we will stay again for sure!!

We had a great time staying in Jennifer’s cottage. It was the perfect spot to crash between hiking many beats spots nearby!

Great place to stay for a getaway in the woods

We had a two day stay with our baby and dog. Our stay was restful and relaxing. The space is very beautifully decorated and cozy. There were some enjoyable reads placed around the space.The kitchen was stocked with essentials and made cooking our meals easy. We appreciated the dog amenities like food bowls and dog towel to wipe paws, as well as front/back yard space for our dog to explore. Would recommend for families and dog owners.

This place is a phenomenal find! I hadn't been to Manila in about 15 years but it's a very special area. The community park, Bay views are truly amazing. Katy was the best to talk to including being so helpful to get the heater battery replaced. The space is stylish, comfortable, has everything you need and could ask for and feel right at home. I could move in next week. I can't wait to return a couple times a year to explore more and more of the area. Very quiet, safe and peaceful location. A binder full of local recommendations, cookbooks to make food there, perfect location for both Arcata and Eureka. My birthday trip was excellent due to being able to stay here.

We had a beautiful, restorative stay at Marisa’s home. The home interior was very clean, comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Nearby Miranda had gas and a great supermarket but the wider area was wonderful too. We explored the Avenue of the Giants, much of the Humboldt Redwood's State Park (countless beautiful hikes and drives), the Eel River, Ferndale (Patches Pastries is a MUST) and surrounds, Shelter Cove, the Lost Coast, and many of the small towns. (Garberville’s IL Forno Bakery another MUST!) Would definitely stay at Marisa’s home again if I visited the area again; it’s access to all of these places was perfect!

Pebble Beach Surf Cottage was a very quaint and cozy home to stay at, it was a very short walk to the beach, we were able to watch a gorgeous sunset while drinking a cup of coffee to take the chill off of us The house has a stocked keurig, nice stove and oven, full size refrig. All utensils, cookware and accessories for cooking. 3 bedrooms with a queen bed each, very comfy blankets, nice pillows and extra blankets and sheets for a pull out sofa bed, and room with a set of bunkbeds. The bathroom was well supplied with towels, washclothes plenty of TP. There was soap shampoo and conditioner, which was an extra bonus, 3 of us showered we never ran out of hot water! Yay! The décor definitely gives you the beach vibe. Brian, a very gracious host allowed us to check in 2 hours early as well. I highly recommend this Cottage it seems small from the outside, but once inside more than plenty enough room for 4 adults. Definitely a 5 star stay!!!

Loved this Airbnb. Booked it for a couple of nights so I could do some hiking in the area and it was just the right spot not only location-wise but also accommodation-wise. Wendy did a great job making this cozy airbnb still have all the amenities and so fun to be on a farm with cute animals! Would definitely come stay again!

This was a wonderful place to stay while in the area for spring birding. Everything was as described and it was very clean and comfortable. Communications were very clear with no need to contact the owners. I loved that the daffodils and apple tree were in bloom when we arrived. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

My little family loved staying here! The house was exactly as described and very clean upon arrival. The beds and pillows were so comfortable (which is really appreciated after days spent hiking or driving scenic routes) and every morning we were greeted by the friendliest little grey cat (he was so good with my 1 and 4 year old!) Only 20 minutes from the Sequoia Park Zoo and about an hour from the Avenue of Giants scenic drive. The only thing I wish I realized was that there isn’t a coffee maker in the kitchen. They provide some instant coffee, but my husband and I go through so much coffee to power through the day that we wished we had a little Keurig or coffee pot available. We did have coffee from a couple places in town because of this though and liked Coffee Break Drive Thru the most. It’s just 5 minutes down the road! :)

Words fall short when it comes to a pristine property, stellar hosts, and a comfortable homey atmosphere. This was our second visit and it was very much like returning home,

Thank you Lola for sharing this magical place with us on our birthday weekend. We’ve spent three evenings looking at the sunset from those windows. Everything else was nice and cozy but the view beats every beach stay we ever had. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our time here. It is very rural, quiet and peaceful. Laytonville is a small town so the grocery store is very basic. It is only about 10 minutes away and open until 11. We were traveling with small children and arrived later in the day. The kids were hot and hungry and we had not had a chance to get food. The woman handling check in had a plate of fruit and was incredibly gracious to share to help keep them going until we could run in and grab groceries. She also called ahead to confirm how late they would be open. (4th of July) The walk to the private lake is not difficult and there are multiple kayaks you can use. In addition, it was during an incredible heatwave and there were regular check-ins to make sure all was well and everyone had water. There is no air conditioning but there are many fans that helped it cool off at night. Any issues or concerns were dealt with timely and appropriately. The service was truly above and beyond.

The stay was quiet and serene. We enjoyed the surroundings as well as the unit. Very comfortable bed as a bonus! Close to town and the beaches yet far enough off the beaten path to be relaxing. Would certainly return there and recommend that others stay as well.

A very cozy, adorable cabin with amazing views & great bird watching. Spacious kitchen with tall ceilings making it not seem as small as one would expect from the listing. Very close to downtown. Would definitely stay there again.

The place was amazing, definitely worth the price you pay, especially with the private hot tub all to yourself. An open window let in the sounds of the ocean also. Will definitely be staying there again.
