Frogs croaking, cozy cabin, comfy beds! Building and managing fires was fun work. It was too bad the snow had melted but it was lovely anyways.

We had a wonderful stay at Karla’s home. We enjoyed the ski facilities, used the kitchen regularly and slept peacefully in a clean and comfortable house. Thank you Karla. We hope to return again.

We had a great time at Paul's place, private and peaceful. Watched the stars from the hot tub and sunset from divers rock (quick walk). The snorkeling around divers rock is fantastic at low tide, provided the ocean chill doesn't take you out too fast! The yurt was a really neat experience, well insulated and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Paul’s place is absolutely stunning, from the pristine and spotless cabin to the breathtaking ocean front location. The cabin is modest in size but extremely well thought out; our family of 5 were extremely comfortable in the space and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved sitting in the hot tub overlooking the ocean and running to take a dip in the ocean. Roasting hot dogs in the fire pit was a highlight, as was waking up with views of the ocean from the primary bedroom. We highly recommend booking a stay at Paul’s place - you won’t be disappointed! (The only thing I would mention that is important to know is the driveway access is quite steep and might pose a problem for folks with mobility issues - but Paul is extremely upfront about this on booking.)

Worked well for my family. Unique place, great sunrise view, fairly well stocked kitchen, and close to ski resort. The hot tub was great to come back to after a day of skiing.

This is a rustic cabin in a beautiful serene setting away from it all and reminded me of my grandparent's cottage in northern Ontario that I grew up with. The cottage has all the basics and we enjoyed a blissful week of communing with nature, yoga, hikes, swimming, and kayaking. The pictures in the listing are very accurate and it was perfect for us. The cottage is located in a quiet spot on the harbour with easy access to the water down a set of stairs. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the bay and even saw whales on two afternoons (late August). Erin was a great communicator and the directions to the cottage and how to get in were great. Tip for future guests: The grocer on Cortes is small and Island prices, so consider bringing food. The host/owner uses/lives in this cottage so the fridge/freezer/cupboards contain some of their food and bringing food to feed a family for a week might not fit in the fridge/freezer, so might need a cooler with ice for extra space.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend. The cabin is cute and the bed super comfy. The yard is fenced and private with a lovely fire pit and dry wood. My dog was happy that we could relax. Hosts are super responsive and also respectful of privacy. The beaches are within walking distance; however, driving was better for me as the walk is along a busy section of the highway. The cabin is set back from the highway, so sounds were not an issue. Instead, I happily listened to frogs and birds. Really lovely and I will go back.

Mike was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful. The entire process, from booking to departure was smooth. The place is actually three places in one, so it was awesome for us to spend time with our family friends and kids without feeling on top of each other. It's a very charming main wood home with two incredible smaller cabins, outdoor showers, and two decks...all of it felt like home. The location is perfect as it's an easy walk/bike/taxi from the ferry, and easy access to the general store, bike rentals, and south beach! Go to Savary, stay at Mike's!

A beautiful and cozy space surrounded by woods and wild grasses — the perfect peaceful place from which to explore the island and beaches. Loved our time here and our hosts were kind and helpful.

My wife and I had an amazing time spending our honeymoon here. The float house was super comfy. You can sit on the deck and watch the tide come in slowly. The people on the island are super kind. Be sure to check out the farmers market on Fridays to meet the locals. As well as all the road stands set up.

Absolutely amazing Savary Island location and a perfectly perfect little cabin. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Liz for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

This was a great accommodation. Clean and simple. Private in a great peaceful setting. The canoe trip around the lake was amazing. Would definitely stay there again. Host is super friendly and welcoming.

We had a great couple of nights at Kate's place. The views are stunning, and it was lovely to watch the sun go down each evening while eating our dinner. It was nice to have your own designated parking spot and the place is less than 5mins drive from the Quadra Island Ferry Terminal, you can also walk there in 15mins (although there is a hill so those who may not be comfortable with that should be aware). My only suggestion for those visiting is to bring an eye mask and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper like my wife (no blackout curtains and the rooster wakes you up early).

Absolutely amazing. Honestly after checking out every rental on Savary via Airbnb this is hands down the best place, best location and view, amazing layout, amenities, clean, great beds the total package. We are a family of four (kids 6 and 4) and we all stayed in the main cabin and it was perfect. The second cabin with bed and sitting area was absolutely the cutest and the tent also amazing however we didn’t use it. The prior review noted noise via the nearby cafe which we did hear the first night but as we were in the main house it didn’t bother us. Honestly the Mermaid cafe is great to be so close and the pizza there was amazing plus a great opportunity to meet other travelers and locals. The bikes were great and avoided rentals, tons to choose from like 5+ a kids bike. No issues with the septic and the bathroom was clean and nicely setup with separate toilet, sink and shower. I could see two couples fitting this place perfectly or a family. Will be back, great communication

Will definitely stay at Charissa's cottage again. The space was clean and inviting. The bed was super comfortable. She had everything we needed for utensils to cook nice meals as well as very nice towels for showers. There is a beautiful Cove right down the road we went to each night for sunset and was lucky to see 20-25 eagle's. Quiet and calm.

We had a great stay at Susan’s Huckleberry Hideaway. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for cooking, the location is wonderful to access multiple beaches by foot and the beds are comfortable! The store and market are also close by. If you are planning to work during your stay, you may find the internet unreliable. We have stayed on the island many times over the last 7 years and will definitely return to Susan’s. Highly recommend this place.

We had a very lovely stay. The short trek to the beach was just what we were looking for, perfect for morning coffee and evening star gazing. The Grandkids enjoyed the playground and back green space as well. Our accommodations were very comfortable/cozy beds. Everone slept great, the kids even slept in. Would love to return again one day.
