This was a great place to spend with a senior guest who was visiting Hawaii for the first time and who was comfortable sleeping late in her own bedroom, jumping on the rent-a-car for a daily excursion and coming home to spend the evening relaxing in the lanai watching the waves, the surfers, and the sunsets. I was able to take a few quick morning walks to the nearby markets and beaches and the time flew! The location was ideal for both worlds and made for the best mother/daughter trip ever!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our 4 nights stay at Kona Coast Resort. This one-bedroom place is massive, with 2 full bathrooms, 1 king bed in the bedroom, full en-suite washer dryer, it’s basically an apartment with everything you’d need. This is a timeshared property, meaning, multiple people manage this resort (hence many same listings on airbnb), and there isn’t a guarantee on the exact room you’ll get. We requested an upper floor unit and we were able to get one, it was high ceiling and really fabulous. The place was very quiet. The property tax was an extra $11.4 per day, and AC was an extra cost of $10 per day (you’ll be given a key), the AC worked perfectly well. Beware of other listings with sketchy owners, who tried to upcharge me more after i sent a request. Lastly, I highly recommend booking this one with Jim, he is an honest businessman, very transparent upfront, responsive, won’t try to scam you with any extra charges and easy to talk to. 200% recommend Jim’s place!

My family really enjoyed our stay at WSV. Great location right across from magic sands beach. Loved my mornings with the birds on the lanai. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. We loved eating breakfast and dinner on the lanai and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. It was exactly as described, although, I’d recommend bringing your own toiletries - there was only one 1oz bottle of shampoo and one 1oz bottle of body wash which wasn’t enough for our 6 day stay. We loved the Oceanside pool and little beach next to it. Unfortunately the main pool was closed for part of our visit due to maintenance and the Oceanside pool was closed one day as well which was disappointing as we had planned to do a pool day when they were both closed. Nothing the host could do about it, but it would have been nice to have received a heads up so we could plan accordingly. The host was very responsive and nice when we did reach out though. Great location, and we could see whales every morning from the little beach. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved every minute at Nicki's place. She met us at the door for a really helpful welcome tour and was always very quick to respond to inquiries about things to do in Kona and beyond. The beds were super comfy and the house was airy with tons of big windows and doors with screens, so it was a lovely place to relax. The pool is way bigger than we expected - perfect for laps after sitting in the sauna. The water temp was pretty cold, though, as it's not heated and it had been cloudy for a while, so the kids didn't really use the pool. But they kept busy by picking fruit from the many trees surrounding the house. Oh and the view, of course - amazing! Very close to the house is Mountain Thunder Coffee, which offers free tours of their facility so you can see why Kona coffee is so unique - a big hit for kids and adults alike. We can't recommend Nicki's place more highly - would have loved to stay longer!

Sara’s place was beautiful. The condo was extremely peaceful, and felt luxurious and comfortable and clean. We had such an amazing time on the big island and this was the perfect home base. We’ll be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Bali Kai. The beach chairs provided were great and we loved the beach across the street and the pool. The hosts communicated throughout our stay.
