Beautiful house in gorgeous countryside. The photos don’t do it justice! We were very fortunate with the weather but spending more time in the house wouldn’t have been a problem! Very light and spacious with nice attention to detail.

I loved the space we had in Stockman's Cottage, both inside the house with the large kitchen and big living area upstairs; and outside for storing our bikes and bike rack. All the essentials are provided in an organized and unfussy way. We felt quickly felt at home and didn't want to leave. The woods and squirrel hide a short walk away provide a lovely spot to sit and listen to birds and watch for the red squirrels - I wish we could have spent longer here.

Had a lovely long weekend stay here, got to explore Portpatrick for the first time and lots of things to see around the area. The place was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to cook our own food in the morning and evenings. Also really appreciated how helpful Erin was and making sure we checked in okay. Definitely recommend anyone who prefers a more peaceful and private stay! :)

We had a lovely stay at Phil’s, the location is great for accessing shops or the village. The back garden is a lovely bonus, very peaceful and sunny. The house itself has lots of character with a well furnished kitchen. Would highly recommend

We had a very relaxing short break at the cottage. Everything had been provided for an extremely comfortable stay. The cottage is very well equipped, even down to the holiday dog tag for Archie to wear during his stay! We loved the garden, the sunroom and sitting out on the private patio. Melissa is a great host and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into making her guests stay very memorable.

We had an absolutely wonderful time here in Kirkcudbright, this house is just a home from home, the rooms are spacious, the house was warm & cosy & the kitchen has everything you need. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town, A Tesco opposite, a very yummy chip shop a few doors away & the famous Paul Jones bakery just down the road. We would definitely stay in this home again next time we are in Kirkcudbright.

Beautiful cottage, clean, tidy and as described in the advert. Steven was incredibly helpful and responded to any messages very quickly. Couldn’t fault any part of the booking or after care service. In fact one of our party left an AirPod behind and Steven got in touch to say it had been found and posted it back for us. Excellent host. Thank you!

Wow! Such an amazing property! But, if you arriving after dark, be sure and get clear directions first. It is rural and very dark with minimal signage and rough roads. It’s on a working agricultural estate. But it will all be worth it when you wake up to the amazing views in the morning! Inside the house is nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Can hike around right out the front door. Or, check out AllTrails for nearby longer hikes. We loved our stay here. Would definitely return.

Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Absolutely loved our stay at Martin's, couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Place was spotless, very well equipped & luxurious. All the personal touches will have us coming back again. Can't recommend this place enough.

Alisha was a fantastic host. She reponded very quickly to any queries i had. She was very kind and thoughtful, leaving an Easter egg for my daughter was a lovely touch. The caravan was immaculate, very modern and comfortable. The site itself was very quiet, this was perfect for our needs. We used the caravan as a base to explore the surrounding areas. Cannot comment on site facilities as they were not open when we were there.

Had a wonderful weekend here, a really nice place to stay, spotlessly clean, well kitted out kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a massive fully inclosed rear garden and a brilliant hot tub to soak your weary bones. We would have no hesitation in staying here again 10 out of 10 from us.

Tranquil location. Park is quiet considering the amount of caravan. Cascade lodge had all amenities you would require. Ample towels for the duration of the stay. Hot tub was a lovely addition and private. The outside areas had plenty of seating which accommodated you as the sun moved around. Lots of lovely walks near by. Karen was very quick at responding to questions prior to arrival. There was a lovely welcome basket on arrival containing sweets and biscuits.

Beautiful spot and perfect place for our family to stay in. The caravan was clean, with a well equipped kitchen, which we really liked! Wi-Fi was a bit poor, but we expected that as the site is quite remote. I recommend Dorota's place to anyone who wants to have a rest from their busy life. Thank you for having us.

We had a lovely weekend stay. The caravan was perfect, great location for local visits. We didn’t make use of the holiday park facilities other than the farm shop, which was lovely, but it looked like there was plenty to do. Angeline kindly left a helpful folder with advice on good places to go, to eat, and shop. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to this neck of the woods.

Just arrived home after a great week in Girvan. We used the cottage as a base as we were visiting family and wanted our own space. The cottage was as described it was clean and comfortable. We had a rotten storm unfortunately and with the bedrooms being in the loft space it was a little noisy but obviously we can’t control the weather! We had everything we needed though and was warm and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and flexible to us possibly arriving a little early. Only small complaint was the small velux window in one bedroom let the light in quite early and we like it pitch black so maybe a blackout on those that don’t have them. Apart from that everything was lovely for a comfortable stay and very peaceful. 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach!

Marie was wonderful, helping us and letting us speak to her friendly dogs. We loved where it was and that we could see the stars from the bed. All of the garden was great and my son loved doing nerf gun wars there. I would definitely recommend to others, 10/10!

Lovely stay with the family. Felt very homely and had everything catered for. Steen was super responsive and even allowed us to stay a bit longer due to the weather forecast. Thankyou for enabling a great week with the family.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, we were lucky and picked a fairly mild weekend in feb, wood and coal were provided but brought extra to have the fire on all weekend. Toilet and shower in the building were clean and close in proximity. Stephanie and Rick were lovely hosts and most welcoming. Would love to come back when it’s a bit warmer ☺️ ☀️

We have just returned from the most wonderful long weekend stay at the Coach House, and we loved every minute of it. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful, and we were so lucky with the weather to be able to enjoy the outdoor space all day and into the evenings, watching the little lambs in the field and the wildlife come and go from the pond, and listening to the bird song, it’s was glorious. The house is lovely, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved sitting out at the campfire at night and stargazing, and having a soak in the wood fire tub. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return, it’s a very special place. Thanks so much to the Slogarie team for such a wonderful getaway, we will be back!

The cabin is cosy and in a very scenic spot. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Helen was a great host and the private use of a huge field secured with a mix of stock and deer fencing was a massive bonus! Not only did we enjoy our stay but our dogs loved it! This is an extremely dog friendly place to stay, we highly recommend it!

We’ve found our happy place ! Location exceeded our expectations, the beach view and the short stroll down to it was blissful and the birds in the garden were unbelievable- so many , all day everyday! We had absolutely everything we could possibly need in the accommodation. We walked everyday and only left the area once to visit the red kite feeding station at Bellymack hill farm - what a joy that was. Even when it rained it was still bliss to be in a lovely warm environment watching the wind and the waves! Although there are other properties around it literally feels like you are alone- we will definitely be back in the spring/summer - I’m longing to swim in the bay!

I had a lovely few days at Lesley's place. It's secluded and quiet which is just what I was after. The views are beautiful and I was lucky enough to have clear skies to do some stargazing. The house itself is well set up and comfortable. Lots of great locations within a short distance and Lesley had some nice recommendations of places to go. I would advise to arrive in good daylight as the track to and through the farm is very dark.
