This cabin oasis was exactly what we needed, providing great proximity to Olympic National Park, beautiful mountain views, a great town with shopping and dining, and even a ferry traveling to Victoria Canada. We would absolutely love to stay here again and an added bonus was the large TV in the bedroom, which was not pictured, but a welcome surprise and nice way to wind down after a day of adventures - and the bed! possibly the comfiest bed I've ever slept on, with a plethora of pillows, which can be scarce at some hotels and air BNBs. The covered back porch, hot tub, grill, and fire pit were also extremely appreciated and handy to have. 10/10, it was honestly hard to leave!

Excellent place on Lake Sutherland for a family. Beautiful location on the lake with hot tub on the dock. Great location to access Olympic National Park and Port Angeles. Know that there’s 70 stairs down to the house which can be tough in the rain or dark.

This cabin was very spacious, had high ceilings and many windows looking out to gorgeous views. The beds were very comfortable and the whole places was incredibly well stocked. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked inviting as did the dining table on the deck looking toward the mountain range. We hope to return soon!

Beautiful lake house with a hot tub! The surrounding area has some of the state's best hikes and when your done, chill by the lake or take out a kayak for even more fun 😁 Close to food and shopping, this rental is a must if you plan to visit the area

The place was perfect for a couples retreat. The home and hot tub were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Nancy was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed, including some extras like a bottle of wine and all the fixing to make smores. We definitely would come back!

My husband and I came here for my sons first birthday and can I say, we absolutely loved this Airbnb. It might even be my favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was very thought out and they didn’t miss a detail. Lots to do for kids and adults. The hiking trails right outside the cabin were so nice to enjoy in the mornings to start the day and the hammocks in the woods were nice to relax on after. Heated bathroom floors elevated this space so much. The master bed was very comfortable. Very spacious and not cluttered. The cedar hot tub was our favorite and such a nice touch to the cabin. It really fit the vibe of everything. I would 100% come back here or try out the host other homes in the area since they did such an amazing job with this one. I can imagine all their homes are equivalent.

This cabin is absolutely amazing! Mary has gone above and beyond with this beautiful spot! We love all of it. The serenity, birds singing, trees whispering, light streaming through the windows, and so CLEAN! 🥰 I feel lucky to have stayed. Thank you Mary!

Great family weekend getaway. The place looked just like the photos and felt very cozy. Even the details for dogs were great- my dog made great use of the bed. Tasha was quick to respond when I had a question. We are already planning another weekend there. Such a gem.

Our stay was perfect for our needs! The instructions provided to get to the place were incredibly clear, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. Getting inside was super easy, just as described. The place had all the amenities listed, which was great for our short stay. It was the ideal location for us to rest our heads before catching our morning ferry ride to Victoria. The convenience was exactly what we needed. We had a wonderful, albeit brief, stay and would definitely consider booking this place again when we return to the area for another trip to Victoria or to explore Olympic National Park. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay!

It is such a cozy place to get away and recharge. We visited during rainy winter season but still able to enjoy the sauna and the fire pit. I love the privacy and the quietness. Picture a mountain cabin except it’s in an island!

We really enjoyed our first visit to Lake Sutherland and the Mallard Cove location is perfect. This location is ideal for a blend of hiking and visiting Port Angeles. The cabin is perfect for couples who are looking to get away and cook dinner at home. Great kitchen set up and super nice grill. We can’t wait to come back in the summer for kayaking and other outdoor activities!

Unbelievable cabin for the price. We wanted something simple to stay in for a couple of nights, and it was just the right place! There was a fence and trees around it so it felt very private despite the owner’s living nearby. We made the walk to the river behind the cabin, super cool that it was so close! The Sequim area is beautiful and driving up to the cabin while see snow-covered mountains up ahead, amazing. If you don’t need anything too fancy, this is the place to go. Had everything we needed, would be more than happy staying again!

This is a fantastic place for a large gathering—we enjoyed every moment of our stay! The location is peaceful and quiet, with the nearest neighbor at a comfortable distance, offering plenty of privacy. One of the highlights was spotting lots of seals lounging close to the cottage—a delightful and unique experience. The space is well-maintained, cozy, and perfect for creating lasting memories. Whether you're relaxing indoors or exploring the beautiful surroundings, this place offers a perfect escape. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Great spot right on the beach. Literally just walk out your door to the water. Its a great spot for a quiet weekend.

Kevin's bungalow became the quiet cove where I worked on a creative project in the winter of 2025, a hidden sanctuary on the islands. Many of you will stay there during the summer (and it will be glorious!), but I can't separate my review from the secluded season of storms crashing against the seawall and serene, short, crisp days. I woke to the sun blazing in from the east into the living room, casting golden light across the bay with pink streaks, and Mt. Rainier visible to the south. When I stepped outside to feel the morning breeze off the water on my face, I'd turn 180° north to take in snow-blanketed Mt. Baker. By then, if not already upon waking, I'd hear the eagle calls and start looking for them in their familiar nearby trees as they watched over the same morning tide. The bungalow is modest, charming and well-cared for. I got to focus on sandy beach walks with my dog - between the tides coming and going - until one day it was simply my time to ride out with the tide.

A wonderful and tranquil getaway. Cabin has all the basics you’d need to stay and cook meals (coffee machine, pots and pans, toaster, plenty of cooking and eating utensils. Also had basics like cooking oil and condiments). A great location not far from state parks, the beach and small stores. Would stay again!

The cabin in the woods is a magical place in a heavenly location. Peaceful, surrounded by nature and cosy with a wood burner. We were glad it was a dry evening as the kitchen and bathroom are across the courtyard. We saw deer and quail wandering around very close. Loved staying here on day two our bike ride down the Pacific Coast Highway.
