Plum Island, Newburyport : locations de vacances

Frank went above and beyond to communicate check-in instructions, rules of the Air BnB, had all the thoughtful amenities for a slumbo! Definitely an ideal location for nicer weather with the location! Unfortunately the weather hindered the ability to fully enjoy this experience with the water so close! Would book again with better weather!!!

Staying in this guest house was really great for me, my wife and our two small dogs. The front of the home overlooks are beautiful marsh. The area is very peaceful, and it's next-door to a quaint little park, and a few minutes walk to a private beach.

I have to start this review by saying how wonderful it was to work with Kristen for this trip. She was always quick to respond, offer suggestions, do what she could to make us feel invited. Every exchange with her made me feel like she was a friend excited for our arrival. I’ve never experienced that before! She is a lovely and welcoming hostess. Minisands was every bit as lovely as the pictures. It was cozy, without feeling cramped. Being able to see the ocean from the living room and bed room was a dream. Being able to listen to the ocean as we went to sleep was all I could have wanted. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a beach stay this great, and without a doubt, the best stay I’ve had in Maine. I hope we can visit again very soon.

We were so lucky to get to stay at Lisa's when we were relocating to the area for my spouse's job. Even in January and February, the location was exceptional. Easily walk to the beach, boardwalk, arcade, and beach pizza! So close to Newburyport and Plum Island and we took weekend trips to Vermont and Maine. Comfortable beds, warm water, and room to spread out as a family with plenty of beds. Communication was easy and considerate, and Lisa was so helpful with local recommendations. Easy check-in and great kitchen!! Thank you so much Lisa!!

Gretchen’s house is a charming, two-story one on a very nice and quiet little street. The furnishings are pretty and tasteful, and there is comfortable living room furniture, as well an excellent beds and pillows. Our favorite thing was its location, within very easy walking distance from a gorgeous park and beach. Downtown was also reachable via a short walk. We did some of our own cooking and found everything we needed. Gretchen was an especially nice and responsive hostess. If we were lucky enough to get to Rockport again, I would want to stay there.

Had a wonderful weekend at Maryalice's place. The apartment is well apointed and welcoming. We enjoyed the hot tub, and extra snacks and drinks that our host generously provided. A very quick drive to local attractions in Kittery and Portsmouth Highly reccomend.

We had a delightful stay at Matt's and Jenn's. Their cottage is warm and cozy (loved the oversized fireplace), with spectacular views. And while there are many homes nearby, it has a real sense of privacy. The kitchen has almost everything you need (although some good wine glasses would be nice) and the appliances are high quality. We found the beds, with their medium-firm mattresses, very comfortable and we slept well. The wi-fi was excellent and the TV and thermostat didn't require a PhD to operate. Very simple and intuitive, unlike so many properties. Plus Matt and Jenn were very responsive to our queries (and they didn't have onerous check-out requirements, again like so many other Airbnb properties). We would definitely return, particularly in the off-season, but then spring and autumn are our favorite times of year. Highly recommend.

We stayed at this beautiful home in York, Maine from April 20 to April 23, and it was hands down the best place we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, yet conveniently close to everything we needed. The space was incredibly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every room had a warm, welcoming ambience that made us feel like we were truly in a home away from home. Whether we were relaxing inside or enjoying the surroundings, everything about this home added to an unforgettable experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back in the future. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay in Chris' bungalow. It was just as described and clean! The kitchen is well stocked save for condiments ie salt, pepper etc. So plan to bring those type of items if you are cooking in. Chris was VERY responsive to our messages, even when we couldn't find the tv remote, offering several solutions. All in all we had a great stay and would certainly return.
