Isle of Gometra Jane Ann's Bothy Baileclaidh

VERY BASIC REMOTE BEAUTIFUL BUT NOT LUXURIOUS bothy in an idyllic situation - exposed stonework and wood. Bring own bedding and cooking stove. Basic pots crockery cutlery etc provided. Shared outdoor toilet, indoor bath heated by solid fuel stove. Wood can be bought for £13 a bucket and will be left for you to use if you want. Suits kayakers, experienced hillwalkers and island baggers. Please see reviews for more feedback. No Ulva ferry on Sat, and on Sunday only in June, July & August.

Our detached cottage has beautiful views of the surrounding Glencoe mountains. In an elevated position above the historic village of Ballachulish. Just a short walk to lovely Loch Leven and the village's shops, pub and eating places. Explore magical paths, trails and waterfalls as well as higher routes directly from the cottage. No need to drive. On National Cycling Route 78 and local routes for all abilities. Ballachulish is well-positioned for days out around the area and further afield.

The property is located in an idyllic setting 5 miles south of the vibrant town of Oban. It is situated in stunning gardens with breathtaking views of Loch Feochan. It is spacious, bright and tastefully decorated to reflect it's countryside location. This is the perfect getaway whether you wish to relax or use it as your base to explore the outdoors and surrounding islands. Red squirrels, woodpeckers and roe deer - with fawn at foot are regular visitors at present. Parking on site is spacious. There is so much to do in the Oban area, ferries, castles, whales, dolphins, puffins, walking, beaches, watching .....great food - exceptional sea food and the oldest distillery in Scotland, wonderful whisky - what more can you ask?

Interesting local hikes, close to many beauty spots and attractions, 15 minute drive to the busy town of Oban, 45 minute drive to Fort William. There is a cycle track just across the road which goes almost all the way to Ballahulish (9 miles from Fort William).
