The house is very old which we loved and also well renovated! Very comfortable! The kitchen is a dream for renters and there is lots of space overall. The view to the lake is peaceful and the convenience of driving to nice places is great. Sarah is a wonderful attentive host!

Julia & Grant's home makes me reconsider previous 5 star reviews I've left. If they were 5, this is a 10. A truly exceptional airbnb through and through. It is spotless, private (outside of friendly neighbors on a private road), has everything you could need, and the property is gorgeous. The view that can be seen throughout the house is truly stunning. The stars and firepit on a clear night were amazing. The park like property has hidden gems and unique touches throughout. Our kids always felt like they were on an adventure. You can tell a great deal of thought and care has gone into the unique touches, which really melt it feel like a vacation for us (such as the holiday themed coffee cups and doggie bags). I could go on, but I don't want to spoil what you might discover on your own. Thank you all so much!

Our family of 6 stayed at Venky’s place for 5 nights and everything was great! The home is very close to NYC and is only one stop from Manhattan. Venky was extremely responsive and helpful for any questions or needs. The cereal provided was perfect for our young children to have a snack in the AM before heading out for the day. I would absolutely recommend Venky’s place for families or for anyone looking to stay away from the chaos of Manhattan but also close enough to get there in about 15 minutes.

Drove down from FL for grandsons 1st birthday. Once arrived to Gary’s home was a little nervous due to the curvy roads, darkness and deep into the woods. Once we entered the home all those feelings were gone. Gary’s home is immaculate and beyond beautiful. Made us feel right at home. The beautiful scenery, waking up to the deers, immaculately clean home, great hospitality, extremely quick to respond, near to restaurants and stores. We travel a lot and have stayed in many Airbnb’s, even in high end areas, Gary’s home so far takes the cake. We will be back to stay longer and explore the area as there are many things to do. We will also recommend to family and friends.

This was by far one of the best airbnbs I have stayed in! Defina! Was a phenomenal host, attended to every need! Was very responsive! And let’s not talk about the hospitality! We celebrated my daughter’s 5th birthday @ American Dream! She made sure we were accommodated well! Frigerator stocked! House well stocked with linens! Honesty is the key with her! Renee was a great host. Check in was easy, the garage and doors were easy to use, Renee was responsive to all of our questions and the house comfortably slept our family of 2 adults, 3 kids and a baby. There are a ton of amenities like a wine fridge and smart TV that meant we could have a chilled glass of red while the kids found their favorite shows. The house is beautiful and sits on a scenic hillside in South Orange. It’s easy to walk up the hill and see panoramas of NYC. We loved walking to get bagels with our kids or grabbing pizza from one of the many great spots nearby. The streets are also great for running with wide running lanes and challenging hills. We had such a great time spending most of July here.

Enjoyed the space, nice and private, for a solo trip definitely recommend. Easily accessible to transport such as bus and train stations near by. Felt overall safe and comfy. Thank you!

We stayed at Patrick’s place to attend an Army football game. Everything was perfect and easy. It’s really close to campus/post. It’s a nice little town and close to Cold Spring where we had lunch on Friday. Thanks for a great weekend.

The property is beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay! The weather did not cooperate with us, it was drizzling most of the time, but we still made the best of the outdoors!

It looked exactly like the pictures. The neighborhood felt safe and the airport was close by. It was easy for uber or Lyft to pick you up and is relatively close to the city.

Muy buen alojamiento. La ubicación es excelente, tanto para recorrer la zona como para ir a cualquier parte de Manhattan porque tiene estaciones de metro muy cercanas. La habitación cumple con lo necesario y esta todo muy limpio. El desayuno es un punto muy a favor, es una bebida caliente y algo para comer a elección, no es un desayuno abundante pero si muy rico y de buena calidad, y salís del hotel listo para recorrer!

One of my favorite places to nest when working in the area for a week or more. This attic apartment is on the 3rd floor and is a proper one bedroom. Light, airy, spacious and comfortable with great light. (There are some low clearances and angled walls to be aware of if you're tall.) Kirk is exceptionally kind and always responsive. He was even able to fix an issue immediately upon arrival and remotely! The Metro North station is just a 15min walk and there's easy access to bus service that will take you to the subway (or you can walk, if you have the time). Two supermarkets just 10-15min walk from the apartment—right by the Metro North station—which was great. As ever, looking forward to my next stay.

Hastings is a sweet little town and the apartment is conveniently located near station and shops. It was good value for two bedrooms in the New York area. Place was clean with good light and character. I enjoyed climbing the hills and there were some steps to negotiate. There was some noise but nothing more than you would expect from a family living above.

Took my family here for a short trip while my kids were on spring break. Great location and very responsive host. Would stay again

Communication with [Host’s Name] was easy and prompt; they were very helpful with local recommendations and made check-in super smooth. I felt very welcome and at ease throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting and would love to come back again!

We hebben het fijn gehad in het appartement van Yolima en Maria. We voelden ons zeer welkom (ook door de boodschappen die er al waren voor een eerste ontbijt!) en Maria hielp ons met tips voor de bus naar Manhattan, die om de paar minuten vlakbij het appartement stopt. Rustige buurt maar ook binnen 20 minuten in Manhattan! We hebben genoten in Manhattan en bij Yolima en Maria.

a wonderful cabin with a great ambience and very welcoming hosts. the fire, record player, breakfasts, birds in the morning, and more all make for a perfect stay.

David is welcoming and helpful; this is a great place to stay if you are needing to be in the vicinity (for me, visiting elder and getting some work done during parts of days). The room is cozy and clean, comfortable bed and good desk -- along with bits of friendly conversation, it suited me well. I'll be checking availability next time I'm back in the area.

6 out of 5 stars! This was a fantastic bed-n-breakfast experience with a lovely host who worked to ensure we had the perfect stay. This trip was a lovely, quiet getaway for us and a much needed break to unplug and unwind. Perfect location and near many parks for walking and hiking. Incredibly responsive host who made sure our favorite breakfast items were on hand. Highly recommend and we will definitely book again in the future!

Allen and Anne… are such an excellent hosts. They provide recommendations to places including personal opinion. This is a prime location close to subway which is very convenient. Room equipped with all what you need. Kudos to Allen and Anne. I will not hesitate to book this room again in the future.

Eleanor was a fantastic host. Her property is beautiful, she was very accommodating, and cooked a wonderful breakfast for us. Anything we needed she promptly helped us with. She made sure the room was spotless and ready on time despite a busy weekend. If you are in the area and looking for a scenic and relaxing B&B, stay here!
