Wow we loved this place so so much! Firstly it was within the most peaceful setting you could imagine. Sitting out in the garden was so serene, and the wood fired hot tub was a fun bonus! Inside was immaculate, so cosy and homely! Absolutely everything you might think you need was supplied! The upstairs bedroom/bathroom was dreamy! Surrounded by lovely walks (the coastal footpath was only 5 minutes walk away) and close by to some gorgeous Devonshire villages/towns, I genuinely couldn’t fault this property! Hopefully we will be back soon! ☺️

Emma and her family were lovely and welcoming. She was available whenever we needed something and was very approachable. Her home is nice, private and spacious, the kitchen although we knew it was small was a little hard to work in especially with little ones. The rooms all had en-suites which was extremely useful when younger ones needed to use the toilet at the same time. Downside was only one shower/ bath could be used at a time due to water pressure. She told us this upon arrival and we just worked around it. The garden is beautiful, children really enjoyed they’re time as plenty of space to run around. Loved the white bedding and soft furnishings as it always helps make a place feel clean and fresh.

We loved our stay! Beautiful cottage that was superbly clean, lovely location with plenty to do nearby (within 20mins or so drive, plus greatwalks and pubs on the doorstep). We bumped into the hosts a couple of times and they were really friendly. Normally as a family we like to stay in diffeent properties when we head away but we are already exploring dates to return here in the Summer.

We loved our stay at Miranda’s place! It was clean, the views were stunning & she was extremely responsive and helpful. Thankful for this wonderful spot for some time with family!

Beautiful cottage with cosy but striking decor, really comfortable and cosy. Perfect for the six of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep a roast and the garden was small but perfectly formed. The local pub was a stones throw through a pretty village, with a really delicious menu. Only downside was no local shop for a pint of milk, loaf or emergency crisps. But I guess that may be tricky to sustain in second home areas. All in all a really comfortable cottage - thank you x

We loved our stay. Gorgeous surroundings. Lovely cosy cottage. Hot tub under the stars was amazing. Great base for exploring Devon and surrounding area.

We have just returned from a wonderful few days. Claire had thought of everything for a perfect stay. The cottage was immaculate, in a great location, peaceful and we never tired of the beautiful view of Dartmoor. The hot tub was a very welcome addition after a day on the moors. We wouldn't hesitate to recommed a stay here.

A fabulous stay! Emma & Kevin are lovely hosts. They are both knowledgeable on the area with great recommendations. They really cared about making our stay enjoyable and relaxing which we felt. We added on some extras - hot tub, scones and sourdough. The scones and sourdough were delicious - a real treat! The hot tub was such a luxury and it’s brilliant that Kevin heats it all for you, so you just get the relaxing. The property is just like the photos and as described. It’s really well kept. Lots of beautiful finishes in the property making it such a great place to stay. It’s in a great location - 25 minutes drive to some beautiful beaches, 5 minute walk to a lovely pub with great food and beautiful gardens, 20 minute drive to Totnes and Ben’s Farm shop. We took our dog too and she was welcomed by Emma and Kevin with some special treats! The property worked well for her too with lots of great walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be booking in again! Thank you so much!

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay at this lovely cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spacious layout and how well equipped everything was. The cottage had all the amenities we needed to make our holiday special, from a good-sized kitchen to comfortable living spaces. Located in a quiet area just a stone's throw from the beach and cliffs, it offered us the perfect blend of relaxation and stunning views. Our host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their hospitality was outstanding. This cottage is ideal for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the festive season in a beautiful setting. We can’t recommend it enough and are already hoping to return soon!

Having booked holiday accommodation around the world for decades, we can honestly report that Fish Cottage rates amongst the very best. Blissfully peaceful, extremely well equipped, stacked with books and, served with good broadband, set in a fabulously planted garden and - glory of glories - no TV. Who could conceivably wish for more?

Thank you Gill for a lovely stay. We had some friends visiting from Lithuania that weekend and we really wanted to show them English hospitality, which we definitely received from Gill. Place is beautiful and has everything you need. A few min drive from beautiful beaches and villages full of amazing places to eat. Highly recommend. Thank you again.

Spotlessly clean hideaway. So peaceful yet minutes walk from the centre of Dawlish. Completely safe walled garden for the dogs. Train station 5min away, great coastal scenery in all directions. Nice walk to Dawlish Warren and plenty of places to eat and drink. 3 generations and suited us all. Would highly recommend.

Great family cottage, very comfortable and cosy, just a minute's walk from the beach or beautiful countryside. The kitchen is brilliantly kitted out and there are loads of kids games to keep them busy for days on end. We had really mixed weather and the cottage suited us perfectly come rain or shine. We'd definitely recommend it and hope to return.

Jasmine Cottage was a wonderful little place to stay. Despite being a very old property the renovations have been tastefully carried out and it retained all the original charm with modern day convenience. I liked that it has its own self contained garden which was perfect for my dog. I especially loved the living room with its cosy wood burner and comfortable sofa. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything that I needed and I enjoyed cooking in it. The cottage was warm throughout my stay even without the wood burner going. There was plenty of hot water and the bathroom was always warm. Upstairs both bedrooms were lovely and the room I stayed in had a very comfortable bed and again was warm and cosy. The location is very rural and quiet which was exactly what I was hoping for. I had a wander around the village and visited the very pretty church. People I met were friendly. The purpose of my trip was for complete rest and relaxation and that’s exactly what I got.

A wonderful couple of days stay, we were greeted by one of the hosts and they went through everything we could need or want to use here. Clean, stylish and peaceful. The bed is a dream and we had the best nights sleep here. Will come again when we are next in the area, thank you!

We can’t fault our stay at Jasmine Cottage - it was everything we could have hoped for & more! It was the perfect stay for our little family & we have already said we can’t wait to come again. The location was ideal, close by to many South Devon tourist spots, & it was great to get away from the hustle & bustle on a night in this cosy cottage. We honestly loved every second of it so thank you Tina for a fabulous holiday!

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay.The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

A really cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location in east Devon. Was very simple to get to Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, and there was also lovely areas to walk arouns right by the cottage. Cottage nicely spacious and had everything we needed.

Just got back from a long weekend here and it was fabulous. Victoria was really responsive and helpful prior to and during our stay. The cottage is gorgeous, with lots of space and has all the facilities you will need to make you feel at home. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Salcombe but this allows for a peaceful haven in fantastic surroundings once you return. We will definitely recommend to friends and will be back!

The views from Cider Barn are so beautiful. We watched a barn owl hunting over the fields at dusk and dawn and the sound of a tawny owl whit wooing as I was going to sleep was magical! The living room / kitchen / dining is light and open plan and when I was there the sun was streaming in from sunrise to sunset. Loved watching the sunset with the owl hunting! Really enjoyed my stay here. It's an old barn - so the floor boards are a bit creaky but it is a special place.

Had a lovely stay here for a few days, easy to get in to Sidmouth, just a 10 minute drive away. A very cosy cottage that we would hope to visit and stay in again.

Just had an amazing 5 days at East Underdown , renting all 3 cottages for a 60th birthday taking all the family ( 6 adults and 8 children 17yr-4yrs) . After a lovely welcome from Sue and Bob we settled in to our cottages that were spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need . The kids were straight in the pool which even had inflatables for them to enjoy . The adults enjoyed the sauna . Out the back of the pool was a big enclosed field with a football net and footballs . The games room was well equipped and the kids spent hours enjoying. The BBQ’s were set up with charcoal and ready to use . Can’t think of one negative, a wonderful time was had by all .
