The perfect place for a short or long term stay. Clean, comfortable & prepared with everything one needs for a lovely stay. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe - I enjoyed many walks & runs in the late afternoons. Close to many activities, shops & restaurants. The hosts are very friendly & responsive. I highly recommend.

This was our third time staying at The Salt Box and we had another great stay! The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location is convenient with the beachfront a short walk or drive away. We love the peaceful atmosphere with sliding doors opening the lounge to the private garden / pool area. Dining in is a breeze with everything we needed provided for. The furniture and beds are comfortable and views from upstairs never get old. Ame and Spencer are amazing hosts and are always super responsive and friendly. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras they provide. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Francy's place was exactly what I needed for a writing retreat. It's a beautiful, peaceful space full of thoughtful details - beautiful proteas on the dining table, herbs in the kitchen, cushions for the braai seating area, books to borrow and so much more. The estate itself is beautiful and full of walking paths to get lost in. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quick escape from the city within an hour's drive of Cape Town. Francy was friendly and communicative. Her dog Mia was a wonderful bonus!

The space was perfect for me, it's ideally situated for access to almost everything that Stellenbosch offers. Izette is a wonderful host and communication was easy. The interior has everything you need, especially the coffee! Couldn't have asked for a better place! Will recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at Renee’s place! The location was perfect—just a short distance from town, making it very convenient for exploring Stellenbosch. The property had everything I needed, and I really appreciated how secure and private it felt. Renee also added thoughtful little touches that made the space feel warm and homely, which was such a nice touch. I would absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Stellenbosch. Highly recommend!

The stay was lovely! Very peaceful, easy to walk to the local restaurants and supermarket. It was birdwatching paradise in the backyard with all the fynbos. Lee was always easy to get a hold of and ready to help wherever necessary. Overall a lovely stay.

We had such a beautiful and special stay at this little private nook by the ocean. From the moment we arrived, we felt so at peace: The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and full of thoughtful touches. Sitting out on the veranda, overlooking the ocean and the twinkling town lights across the water, was pure magic. We loved leaving the doors open and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. It was such a warm, tranquil and cosy experience. Exactly what we needed. Thank you to our wonderful host for creating such a special and private space. We truly didn’t want to leave!

What a small treasure! Cozy, eyes on the details, comfy bed, just great for a get away. You need a car, it’s a bit outside of Stellenbosch. We will be back for more then one night! We loved the place and our hosts were really friendly and took us in on a short notice. Thanks 😊

We stayed one night at Melinda's and everything was super fine! close to everything, nice bedding with little heat pads! Thoughtful things like insect repellent and hand cream! Would pic this place again in Hermanus!

We had a great stay here at Jacquie's in Hermanus. Spacious spot, everything we could need and a very responsive host. Also, great shower. They allowed us to arrive earlier than check-in and woke up super early to let us out again a few days later. Great spot!

as everyone else has said, Thelma is a great host together with husband Alan. Thelma was extremely welcoming and very generous with what was provided including milk and various snacks which was very thoughtful. I was on my own so the space was fine but had my wife been with me we would have found it a bit cramped. Not a criticism just an observation in case it's relevant to you. if like me you are a birdwatcher or nature lover you really are spooled for choice in this area.

Lerien an Pieter are down to earth, and friendly, they are very accomodating, and even let me check in earlier, i stayed there because i had a family member in Vergelegen that had a major surgery. Compassionate, Neat,attentave, and not overbearing thanks for the great stay.

It was peaceful and Loura was very nice. Will definitely return!

Diana's place was just as the photos display it. On arrival we were met by our friendly host. The accomodate was clean and had everything needed to enjoy our stay.

We had a wonderful time at 15 Albatross. The place was picture perfect, had all the comforts and even more. We felt spoilt rotten with all the treats and we loved our neat-as-a-pin home for those 4 days. We were heartsore to leave. The outdoor area was also wonderful for braaing and entertaining. Everything was just perfect!

A visit to Jane's place allowed access to tranquil surroundings and views of the mountains surrounding Somerset West! A morning Nespresso on the patio was the perfect start to anyone's day and the hosts are friendly, inviting and take genuine interest in your comfort and convenience. With all the amenities of home it was an excellent base of operations for our stay. It is well equipped, clean, comfortable, easy to find and ideally located with on site (off-street) parking big enough for a double cab Hilux bakkie being a huge plus!

Fantastic stay, as always! Shaun and Dominique are lovely and welcoming. The flat is super private and set up with everything you might need for a short or a long-term stay. Tons of little touches that make the stay easy. :) Looking forward to my next stop over!

what a gem! The guest suite is beautiful. Brian was welcoming and full of local information which was invaluable. We visited a few of the recommended vineyards as well as local restaurants and cafes and they did not disappoint. Highlights included Vrede en Lust for brunch, The French bistro for dinner and The Blue Correander for a curry. The Mad Hatter was a great spot to have a relaxing drink whilst listening to live music. Thank you Brian for welcoming us to your beautiful area. Hope to return to do more of the recommendations!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but I wish I had booked a longer one. I will be coming back. Louise is an awesome host. Very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and luxurious stay, I highly recommend it.

Chris and Jackie are amazing hosts. It feels like staying with old friends. They are always available when needed. The flat is very nice and comfortable with many fine personal touches. The location is peaceful with amazing sunsets and a starry sky like I’ve never seen before.
