Our apartment is a 1 bedroom 1 bath furnished apartment over a detached garage. It is close to 900 sq ft. It has 1 king size bed with frame and a trundle bed with two twin beds that can be utilized if you have kids or additional guests. It s best for 2 adults and 2 children. We have a full kitchen, washer and dryer available in the apartment. We also have a 8 foot deep in ground swimming pool on premises. You must be 18 or older to use and or swim in the pool without adult supervision.

The Cottage on Hancock - entire historic cottage

This quaint historic cottage, "The Hunter-Stevens Law Office", (c. 1855) is located in the heart of historic downtown New Bern, steps away from shopping, dining, and the waterfront. The cottage sits on the property of the historic Coor-Cook residence (c. 1790), known as the "Stanley Hospital, Officer's Ward" during the Union Army occupation of New Bern. The cottage originally served as the law office of Mr. Geoffrey Stevens, a prior resident of the Coor-Cook house.

In 2015 we had traveled the eastern coastline looking for a place we could settle into as our vacation home. When we drove over the bridge into Oriental to look at property, it brought on the nostalgia of when we had visited Exuma in the Bahamas; the small town feeling where local arts, festivals and personalties made it unique. A town that you could step off the front porch and stroll to the town beach or walk to dinner.

Get comfortable and enjoy this private entrance spacious unit with a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. We have a public 18 hole golf course. It is similar to a hotel room only larger and no one else has access to it. New Bern is a historical city with tours scheduled daily at Tryon Palace. We are 45 minutes to the ocean. Our winters are mild with some days in the low 70s. New pictures are coming soon.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Restaurants within 1 mile from the home. Boat dock and fishing pier about 1/2 mile. Neuse river is a bike ride away with another fishing pier 2 pickle ball courts and playground less than 1/2 mile from the house. A stop for greenway cyclists and a hugh area for sail boat novoelists. You can take the Minnesott ferry on your way to Atlantic Beach.

A cute, charming, open and airy country cottage only 10 minutes from downtown New Bern. Walking distance to Neuse River and 5 minutes from public boat landing. Convenient to Bayboro, Vanceboro, Cherry Point, Havelock, Morehead City and the beach.(No cleaning fee.)
