Our family and friends had an unforgettable stay at Monrovia on Main for our 40th Woodberry Forest School reunion. This grand, beautifully restored 1904 home was the perfect gathering place! The location on Main Street is ideal—an easy walk to downtown Orange's shops and restaurants. The home itself is exquisite, with elegant antique furnishings, luxurious bedding, and updated baths offering modern comfort. We especially loved relaxing in the spacious parlor and game room, and the front porch was the perfect spot for afternoon naps. The gardens were stunning, with azaleas in full bloom. Everything was meticulously clean and thoughtfully prepared. With five lovely bedrooms and a large, well-equipped kitchen, we had ample space to reconnect and relax. Gaines was a wonderful host—welcoming, responsive, and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommend Monrovia on Main!

Our weekend girls' trip getaway to Susanne's pastoral family homeplace was absolutely wonderful, as this property is truly its own point of interest! While all bed/bath/kitchen provisions were top notch and well exceeded a typical amenity checklist, the thing that comforted us the most was a warm and open welcoming into the doors of this historic family home. From classic furnishings and sturdy wares, old photos and whimsical trinkets, interesting nooks and mysterious crannies, peaceful porch seating and delightful cow parades, abundant trees and beautiful flowers... we felt like we were right at home. Although we could have been perfectly content staying parked on the property our entire stay (and may plan to do just that for our next visit) we opted to enjoy a lovely drive for a day hike to a stunning waterfall in Shenandoah National Park, and went in to Charlottesville for some shopping on the pedestrian mall. We 100% recommend this historic property and Susanne's warm hospitality!

We had a great stay at the Blue House and can’t recommend it enough for your next trip to Lake Anna! The house was well-equipped, clean, and the host was flexible and accommodating with our check-in/out times. The property has beautiful, waterfront views and is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

This spot was super duper fun for our get together. Much bigger than expected and very cozy, loved it and hope to come again!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at License to Chill! From start to finish, everything was smooth, comfortable, and welcoming. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The layout was perfect for our large group, including multiple families with young kids Daniel was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always ready to help with great local recommendations. We also really appreciated the extra touches like clear check-in instructions, a local guidebook, and support with boat rentals. This home truly lives up to its name—it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy Lake Anna. We’re already talking about coming back! Highly recommend without hesitation!

I would rate this house a 5 out of 5. The house looked just like the pictures . It was very clean . The host was very responsive, she was great. My family enjoyed the fire place located on the side of the house . There appeared to be a spider issue in the house . We saw a couple and had to kill them. The shower in the basement was very small. Besides that my family and I had a great blended thanksgiving and would definitely rent again . Thank you for everything Angela !!!

It's a perfect location for a peaceful stay. The cabin is surrounded by nature and has everything you need to unwind, relax, and enjoy! Highly recommended.

Rented this amazing location for a reunion with our friends. We had the best time, the new fire-pit was perfect for our hangout time, and we loved having a fire at night and reminiscing by it. The house had everything you need, all bedroom were nice, and the kitchen was well used and supplied. The big table for meals and games was great and we spend a lot of time there playing chess, Magic the Gathering, and Poker. The hottub was on time for us after a day spent checking out the lake and playing disk golf. Certainly really enjoyed that. Its worth mentioning they have a LOT of Tvs that are all very nice. As mega gamers we used the double TV setup in the den room to play Madden and watch NBA games at the same time. Really cant say enough good things about the whole experience and house. The owners were very responsive for anything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for family's & friends as it has more than most spots you will find. 10/10 / 5/5 all the above!

Jennifer’s place was amazing! A fully private guest house with tons of space and well stocked. Beautiful location and we were excited to use the hot tub. Would definitely stay again when visiting Shenandoah.

What a beautiful location! Carlene and Allan were very friendly hosts. They provided perfect instructions for arrival and left a wonderful welcome basket stocked with snacks and breakfast items. The apartment was immaculate, perfect size for our family of 4 and well stocked. We will definitely be back to stay!

The place was very clean and spacious. It had all the amenities that we needed such as shampoo, soap, blow dryer, coffee machine, etc. It was very close to many wineries and has some restaurants walking distance. We enjoyed our stay there.

If I could give Jennifer’s place more than 5 stars I would! The property was at the end of a seasonal road so it was very quiet. Jennifer was nice enough to leave us some eggs from her chickens that were delicious. Great place to stay if you’re trying to get away from the city for some peace and quiet

An Exceptional Stay with the Best Host! I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Virginia’s Airbnb, and it truly exceeded all of my expectations. I stayed here for two months for work. From the moment I arrived, the place felt like home. The accommodation was immaculate, stylish, and equipped with everything I could possibly need. Every detail, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities, was carefully curated to ensure comfort and convenience. She even had a step stool for vertically challenged guests :) The location was perfect and in a good residential area; quiet and peaceful. Virginia went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and responded quickly to any questions I had. Her warm hospitality made this stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stress-free, comfortable getaway with a truly caring host. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

My children and I loved our stay at the Franklin Estate! The suite was clean comfy and well appointed. Angela called me before I arrived to ensure I would have everything I need including a pack and play for my baby! My kids loved the pool! The entire property was well maintained and very beautiful. Angela kept in touch throughout our stay ensuring we were comfortable the entire time. I'm looking forward to staying again!
