We had an excellent stay and took advantage of the chairs on the hill to watch the stars and enjoy the quiet evenings. Staying in a dug-out was fun and the drive-in movie (recommended by the host) was so much fun. We had a blast in Coober Pedy and will be back!

Kerri's place is a 2 br underground home (dugout) which we had all to ourselves. The kitchen is stocked with basics such as milk, tea and coffee etc. It's private and the house cannot be seen from the street so be sure to follow Kerri's instructions which she will send before you arrive. There's a WiFi connection and phone service in the home but don't expect speeds and connections like the city. It is a 5 min walk from the centre of town. There's a rooftop deck where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset with a few nibbles and wine but make sure you take your mozzie cream as they're hungry at dawn and dusk. We will stay there again.

Really loved the place. would recommend anyone to the place. My wife was amazed with place and mu son just loved the house.

Had a lovely stay here with my 1 year old daughter & partner. Lots of toys available for use which my daughter loved. The house was super cool and the chickens/veggie garden were great to explore. The host was amazing and responded to any questions I had really quickly. Would definitely stay here again

So much information was provided as soon as we booked, she was helpful beyond expectation, very quick to respond, and most importantly provided a clean, beautiful, quirky underground home which was one of the highlights of our trip. 10/10 strong recommendation from a family of 5

Such a pleasure to stay at Cranky Rock again! Close enough to the wineries but also far enough out for some peace and quiet to recharge and relax. Lindsay and Pam are beautiful hosts. We can’t wait to come back again 😊

Tine's property is one of the best dugouts in the town. Has plenty of room for everyone (we were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids) with stunning views right at the gate. You'll be a fair 10-12 mins away from the town centre, driving past some roos passing by or spot them right above the ground after you walk out. Access to laundry, decent Internet connection, and a handful of kids activities make this dugout a perfect place to stay. Since we went off season, the property was the holiday and this dugout hit the brief really well for us to have a good time.

We stayed here for just under 10 hours after a long drive from Uluru, and we still can’t stop talking about how amazing this place was! The house is beautifully done with thoughtful touches throughout — from TVs in every room to a well-equipped kitchen and even a speaker for some chill vibes. The outdoor seating area was perfect for unwinding, and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like a private retreat. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every appliance felt carefully chosen for guest comfort. Honestly, we’d come back to Coober Pedy just to stay here again — can’t recommend it enough!
