We really enjoyed our stay at kestrel lodge, the area is peaceful and the views are lovely. The lodge is clean with all the basics you need. It would have been great to have a smart tv to access netflix etc but understand that the wifi wasnt great due to the rural location so thats fair enough. Loved the hot tub. Also loved the extra touch of leaving an easter egg as a welcome gift. Mhari was easy to contact when needed and provided a lot of useful and relevant information. Overall we really enjoyed our stay - thanks Mhari :)

We had a lovely weekend at this lodge. All the essentials were already there for us. The lodge itself was wonderful, we absolutely loved it and didnt want to come home! Perfect setting for a quiet, relaxing time. Just wonderful.

Lovely clean roomy well equiped lodge perfect for our family of 4 with 2 beds to spare! It felt like a home from home, we were able to cook all our meals, relax & be in a great location for sightseeing and the event we travelled for. The scenery is beautiful & quiet especially at night when we were lucky enough to have clear nights and see all the stars. Comfortable beds, sofas & plenty of kitchen equipment. Easy to find & plenty of parking right outside the lodge. Easy check in and out & great contact from Sue. Would love to come and stay again and explore the local area more.

What a brilliant location. The lodge was all and more than we expected. The location of the lodge on site is excellent as there is very little passing footfall. Inside the lodge is well equipped and extremely comfortable. The outside decking area is large, overlooks the lake with comfortable chairs and table. Hopefully we will be back again soon.

A little paradise inside. Smelt heavenly,had a luxury hotel feel and host had thought of eveything. The lodge was decorated really Modern too. Just was really helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for kielder castle and Forest,and also for beaches! Bamburgh castle and beach is worth a visit. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again!!! Xxxx

This was a beautiful place to stay, very peaceful, clean and tidy. The view from the hot tub was lovely. We felt very lucky to find this place for a single night stay as it seems you usually have to book multiple nights. We often grab the chance at a night away whenever we can as parents of a young family so we will be keeping our eyes peeled to see if any further 1 night availability appears in future as we would definitely return. Thank you!

Beautiful location, very warm welcome from Jenna. Communication was fantastic from booking to leaving with really useful local info provided - highly recommend Sunday dinner at The Derwent Arms Fantastic breakfast too with local produce - lovely stay!
