Great private location, a few miles from Whitby and at the doorstep of the North York Moors. Diana was responsive, attentive and an all around perfect host! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely break with parents and our son, 30 mins to York main town, we got a little lost on how to find the main door but the host quickly showed us it’s just to the back of the main house through the main garden area.

We had an amazing time at this venue. Lovely people and even the locals who use the pub from around the area were so welcoming. Fantastic way to start the New Year.

Nice place with all amenities necessary. 10 min walk to the centre. Comfy bed. Hot yoga studio 1 min walk away :-) We will be back!

An absolutely beautiful setting in a gorgeous garden and extremely lovely village. Total peace and quiet. The bed was probably comfier than my own bed and all the linen really quality. Breakfast (included) felt like a real occasion and a treat. Would definitely like to come back!

I had a lovely stay here. The location is excellent, Tesco Express directly opposite, within easy walk of places like The Deep, and various museums and shops. I was very cozy when sleeping, but a bit cold during the day. I was also warned of the noise from the street on Friday and Saturday nights, but I had no issues getting to sleep. Glenn and Alan were friendly and attentive throughout the visit. I was here for work on this occasion, but I'd love to visit again if I do some backpacking in the area!

Lovely little find in the beautiful East Yorkshire countryside. Spotlessly clean, well equipped. Plenty of room for 2 people- and 2 more if needed as there is a mezzanine level in the bedroom with a futon- lovely little space up there! The kitchen/ lounge area has French doors leading onto a lovely little private garden area with 2 chairs , a table and fantastic views. Especially pleased with breakfast hamper provided- with homemade bread, eggs and an avacado. Also had milk , butter and jams in the fridge. Tea, coffee, cereals also available- lovely touch. Towels and toiletries all provided. Would definitely recommend - and was a great base for exploring East Riding.

Would give the cottage and Kitty, our host, a million stars if we could! From the beautiful landscape to the cozy cottage, we loved every minute of our stay. Kitty recommended lots of great restaurants and shops in nearby villages which we enjoyed checking out. Their are walking trails right off the property. We spotted all kinds of birds, deer, and loved the horses and cows nearby. The cottage is decorated so lovely and having a fire in the evening was such a comfort. It's very clean and supplied well with kitchen utensils, coffee, etc. We were genuinely sad to leave! We hope to be back soon, if Kitty will have us! Can't recommend a stay here enough, you will have a wonderful time!

My daughter and I had a lovely stay. This is the second time I’ve stayed and would highly recommend. Karen is always friendly and attentive and we had everything we needed. The bungalow itself is cosy and spotless. We caught the bus to York both days which was easy to do and we had a great time in York. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again x

We valued having a peaceful place to stay within easy reach of the hospital for visiting a close relative. It was very quiet and comfortable and we appreciated kitchenette provision with microwave, induction hob, toaster and kettle etc and also somewhere to relax on nice seating downstairs. The loft area was ideal with good shower etc and quality bedding that gave us a good night's sleep. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the heating worked well so we were kept lovely and warm. Finally we appreciated the breakfast provision which was left for us. We came by car and parked on the drive but we do use rail sometimes and have railcards so the station nearby might be handy for some future visit.

I had booked the place as a treat for my parents and I wanted them to feel relaxed. Fiona’s place was extremely relaxing and peaceful. The surroundings were idyllic and serene. Her personal touches made us feel special. Anything you could think of was available in the lodge. The instructions for getting there and check in were simple, straightforward and easy. Fiona was very responsive. I’m truly impressed. Would definitely be staying there again. Thank you Fiona.

Studio 17 is lovely, homely and more spacious than it looks. Everything has been thought of down to the smallest detail to make your stay comfortable. It's set on a private cul de sac and is very quiet. There are 2 great pubs only 3 mins walk away which both serve great food and drink & the bus to York is only 5 mins walk away Liz was a very friendly host who always responded quickly. Will definately stay again in the future.

I was staying at Tim's as part of a business trip. Tim was friendly and helpful throughout. Had a pleasant stay in a nice rural location.

we had a great time. the house was great. it had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. we walked to York one day and and got the bus next (very easy). the space is homely. bed was very comfortable. if we were in York again we would love stay again if possible.

I booked this accommodation for a newlywed couple, and they absolutely loved it! From the start, Louise was an incredible host—her communication was excellent throughout the whole process, which made everything smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was the thoughtful surprise she left for the couple—it completely made their day and added such a personal, memorable touch to their stay. The place itself is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxed vibe that's just perfect for a city break. Would 100% recommend staying here. Our stay couldn’t have been any better. From the moment of booking Alison’s communication was impeccable, she was friendly and accommodating. We were able to find the accommodation with ease and were met with a warm welcome by Alison who showed us to the space and told us what we needed to know. The accommodation which is set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside provided a beautiful and comfortable, home away from home in a tranquil space. The set up provided a wonderful space for our dog to have space to run around in a safe space which she loved. Although having her own dogs, Alison’s set up is perfect for dogs who need their own space which allows your 4 legged friends to enjoy their stay as much as you. The accommodation was impeccably clean and provided everything we could have needed. This along with recommendations and information about the local area added to our experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying in The Little House and look forward to staying again.

The cottage is far better than the photos suggest. It is really spacious and comfortable and is set in a pretty garden. Lots of nice touches and plenty of good equipment. An easy walk to an excellent gourmet Indian restaurant and to other restaurants and pubs. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful & peaceful place, great bed & bedding, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Myself, my fiancé and our Labrador have just visited Lollybogs cottage for my fiancé’s 30th birthday and wow, it was just amazing! The cottage itself is beautiful and has everything you need, and the garden is just stunning with some gorgeous views from the hot tub (which was ready to get in at any time)! The bed was incredibly comfy too! The area was great. So peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive to Harrogate and other lovely places like Brimham Rocks. Sarah left gifts for my fiancé for his birthday and even decorated which was just lovely. She also left some treats for our dog which was a very sweet touch. We can’t thank Sarah enough for such an amazing stay and I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

We stayed 2 nights at Honeybee Lodge. The lodge was easy to find. Check-in was simple. The Lodge is on a quiet park with 2 fantastic restaurants close by. Everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable was available. There's plenty of space for 4 and I'm sure that when the weather is better that the decking area would be a superb spot for evening dining. The hot tub was clean and ready to use. A great base for exploring York and the surrounding areas.

My husband and I had a great time staying here. The cottage is absolutely lovely! I really appreciated the pretty and cozy decor and finishings. As an artist, Dorothy knows what she's doing and has created a lovely place to relax and unwind. We brought our road bikes and were thrilled with the rides that we did along Swaledale and up a bit out of the valley. The bath and the stove were very welcome after our rides! We are fully intending to come back here to stay longer. We also particularly enjoyed a meal at the Kings Head along the road in Gunnerside (can recommend the steak pie!).
