Ian is a wonderful host his friendly chatty disposition is very welcoming. His accomodation isn't 6 star as he explains but it's far more than that . It's a walk down memory lane with all his wonderful antiques displayed. It's a share accomodation so that's not for everyone but we loved it. Ian goes over and above to accommodate your needs. We will definitely be returning . Forrest beach is a warm friendly little place well worth a look .

We absolutely loved our stay at The Ant's Nest. Great location, the property was so cute & had real charm. I will say that the mosquitoes are next level so if you are prone to bites I suggest packing a thermacell

Sarah's place was just as described, perfectly simple and just as you would expect and hope for a chill beach holiday or weekender. We all slept well in comfortable beds and enjoyed having meals in the lovely modern beachy kitchen.

The accomodation was beautifully presented with lots of little welcoming touches. There was plenty of space and thoughtful additions to make our stay memorable. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and more! Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

My partner and son stayed at Scott’s place for 10 nights over the Easter holiday on a boys' fishing trip. There was plenty of room for parking a car and a boat. Ideal set-up for fishing off the Palm Island group. Just needs the right tides to get out from the creek. Great place if you enjoy a peaceful place. Our son loved it as he got a 95cm Barra at the river mouth. The house was perfect for two of them. The pool was a bonus and the kitchen was well stocked. They really enjoyed their stay at Scott’s place.

Beautiful apartment in a very convenient location.

What an amazing stay! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away—the place is super stylish, clean, and just feels so relaxing and welcoming. The location is perfect—just a short walk to The Strand, the Casino, the Entertainment Centre, and right across from the Magnetic Island ferry, so convenient! Plus, you’re close to tons of great restaurants and nightlife. There’s a little noise from being so close to everything, but it’s totally expected and didn’t bother us at all. We loved it and will definitely be back! Thanks, Louise!

Sejala is the perfect escape, even if you are a local. It’s far enough away from everything , but walkable to town. Janet’s eye for detail, and lots of little extras and luxuries, thank you for a wonderful stay !

Good communication. Quiet location, beds were comfortable, everything was clean. Views were spectacular from the unit balcony. Convenient Location. Would definitely come back and recommend the host.

Robyn’s place was fantastic and had everything we needed. The location was brilliant as it was directly across the road from the beach which the kids loved. It was also close to some shops and restaurants as well. Would highly recommended a stay at Robyn’s place! Thanks for having us!

We have just spent a wonderful long weekend at Larissa’s house. Checking in was easy with very clear instructions. The house was very comfortable with everything needed for a great stay. The house was spotless, the furniture comfortable and very soft beds. So lovely to be able to sit on the verandah and listen to the ocean. Short walk to the pub. Would highly recommend to everyone. Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for: a home that allowed us to relax and disconnect from our busy lives for a while. The location was beautiful and there were so many windows to take in the view. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable, we felt right at home. Gail was very helpful with information, even providing a pin board with information about local attractions and take away menus. We enjoyed our time there so much that we’re hoping to visit again.

If you’re looking for an off the beaten track rainforest experience this is it. Sandra’s description is bang on and she provided accurate directions which made finding the place a breeze. We were greeted on arrival, given a tour & even a jar of honey to enjoy with our tea. There are cassowaries roaming which my children really enjoyed. I would stay again for sure and recommend this listing to anyone wanting a unique camping experience.

This Home is truely a home away from home. From the outside the home really gives you a beach hoilday. The house is old at heart with a modern touch. This is how i would explain this home . Then you enter the home with such a open, yet cosy feeling. Bed rooms are perfect size and space for the amount of bed provided. My kids were very empressed with the automatic blinds. Access to kayaks was amazing and being 3 houses down from the snokel hire was even more convenient. Further down the street is the local pub and swimming nets, convenient store. Honestly the location is perfect. Close to everthing. The beach is right across the road which is amazing watching the sunrise from front porch. Overall worth the stay.

Lovely home, great location & not far from the boat ramp or beach.

This was a wonderful house for our weekend getaway. It has a large living space which was perfect for boardgames when the weather was too rainy for the beach. The check-in and check-out process was so easy and we would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area. Thanks Casey!

We loved our stay at Toolakea Beach Retreat! So peaceful and restful! V iews straight out to the water, a beautiful walk along the sand, a tastefully styled little beach shack. Checking in and out was straight forward, Laine left very clear and helpful instructions. Our family of 6 was very comfortable and loved coming back to the house after days out in Townsville. Would happily come back and can highly recommend!
