Cottage on the beach

The cottage is right on the shore. It is self contained with a kitchen area and small bathroom. The twin beds, on a mezzanine floor, can be hooked up to make a super king-sized bed. Guests will have access to the beach and a garden area. Parking is on site. Although there is no washing machine, I can wash clothes for guests in my house which is next door. I live next door and will interact with guests as much or as little as they wish. I am usually at home, but if I am travelling I will arrange for a neighbour to keep contact with my guests. Coney Island is between Ardglass and Killough. There are shops and restaurants in both. It is under an hour from Belfast and within sight of the Mourne Mountains and Newcastle. Ardglass has a golf course and there are lots of opportunities locally for walking, fishing and watersports. Public transport is limited, but possible. There is a bus from Dublin airport with a connection to Downpatrick. There is a bus from both Belfast airports with connections to Downpatrick, about six miles from Coney Island. If I am home I will pick up guests from Downpatrick. Taxi fare is around £10. The upper floor is accessible to able bodied adults and children, but would present problems to anyone with mobility problems. (See Pic)

Situated in Whitestown about 5km from the busy village of Carlingford with shops, traditional Irish music pubs and choice of excellent restaurants and activities. Inside has a newly renovated interior, wood burning stove and is snug all year round with central heating. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves, explore the beach every day, walk the coastline, and drop into the infamous Lily Finnegans Pub.

Ground floor apt located on tranquil shoreline in the centre of Warrenpoint, less than 5 min walk from the beach as well as numerous cafés, bars, restaurants, shops, and wedding venues. Bright space with large sash window, overlooking terrace that gets all of the afternoon and evening sun, with views of the beach, docks and mountains. Close access to Kilbroney, Rostrevor, Silent Valley, Mournes and Game of Thrones. Furry friends are permitted but not on the furniture.

The Swallow's Return, Treehouse. Eir Code A91D954

The Swallow's return treehouse is seven foot up between sycamore trees to the rear of our home & has one flight of stairs. The treehouse is fully insulated & heated for all year comfort. The open plan bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed which sleeps five close friends or two adults with three young children, The kitchen - dining area is fully equipped and is open planned. The sitting room has a wonderful view across countryside to the Irish sea and on to the Dublin - Wicklow mountains.

Cara -Na-Mara (Friend of the Sea)

Killough is a quiet, picturesque village which lies on the Irish Sea shore, near Ardglass, 5 miles from Downpatrick. Cara- Na-Mara is a beautiful, recently renovated 2 bedroom cottage overlooking the sea. Suitable for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families. It's close to all area golf courses including Ardglass and Royal County Down. It is on Lecale Way for walkers and cyclists. There's easy access to the Mourne Mountains, beautiful coastal drives and Strangford Lough.

This well appointed ground floor apartment is perfectly set up for families and commands some of the finest vistas in Ireland , overlooking Dundrum bay and the majestic Mournes. The apartment stands on the quayside just a few metres from the waters edge and has its own entrance, private garden and patio. "Coney", an old fisherman's cottage, is situated right on the beach. South facing with stunning views straight out to sea, and west to the majestic Mourne Mountains, it is a deceptively spacious and comfortable home. The tasteful and comfortable décor allows residents to relax and de-stress, while enjoying all modern comforts. A relaxing haven for golfers wanting to enjoy Royal County Down golf club (only 15miles drive round the coast) and Ardglass Golf Club (less than 1 mile drive).
