Stayed here for a 30th birthday girls' trip- the location was a quick drive away from hiking and vineyards, and around the corner from a convenient store and cute little creamery! We loved the decor, hot tub, and ample sleeping arrangements. The hosts were communicative and flexible when we asked to extend our stay. Would recommend!

We rented Rachel‘s cottage for a quick weekend and it was absolutely perfect. We love the privacy and took advantage of the fire pit, hot tub, grill as well as the local river. Rachel was an absolutely wonderful host and very responsive and helpful during our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had such a great stay! Our family really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after our days of hiking. We appreciated the great small touches including the s'more ingredients, the delicious brownies, and seperate towels for the hot tub. The backyard is so peaceful. The house was very spacious and clean for a family of 4 that included 2 college aged kids. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

Amazing home and a greag place to just get away

A perfect place to recharge and reset in a stunning part of the country. Everything was thoughtfully curated—from the decor and cleanliness to the high-quality furnishings and bed and linens. Truly nothing negative to say, only positives. We’ll definitely be back.

Great stay, just what we needed. would recommend coming well equipped, it's remote and not the most well stocked rental.

Oh my goodness, the place was such a dream for our family, especially with the kiddos! The sweet little horses, moo-cuddly cows, and clucky chickens were a constant source of the purest joy and entertainment for them – watching their happy faces was the best! And the views? Absolutely breathtaking! The wraparound porch was so incredibly functional – we spent practically all our time out there, soaking it all in. Honestly, even though we knew there were cute towns and a lake nearby, the kids were so smitten with the animals that we honestly didn't feel like leaving our little paradise. The house itself was sparkling clean, super cozy, and had everything we needed. Plus, the hosts were the sweetest and so incredibly helpful! If you're a family with little ones, you have to experience this magical place!

Our family had the best stay at Amy’s place! It was clean, well stocked and the beds were super comfortable! The fire pit out back was so nice to relax after a day of exploring and wine tasting. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place for us! Clean and cute! The fenced in yard was a big hit with our pup (and us!). Amanda was very quick to answer our questions and the location was super convenient for our trip into Shenandoah Natl Park and the Skyline Drive!

Mary Scott and Mark's cottage was a wonderful little getaway. The cottage was quaint and cozy. Check-in instructions were very clear and our hosts were very responsive. It was a great location with beautiful surroundings and had many things to do within a 20-25 min radius. Downtown Charlottesville and Monticello were close by and were great day activities. We also really enjoyed the Glass House Winery which was about 5 min away. Beautiful home, highly recommend!

The pink cottage is nestled in nature, but also in the city. We were able to head toward UVA campus or out toward Ivy with ease. The place is both quirky and quaint - an artistically steeped homebase.

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The fireplace was a treat, and we had a very cozy stay. It's hard to add to what other reviewers have already said, but here is one detail: on a winter's night, when the moon is down and the sky is clear, the stars are fantastic! Because there is no nearby light pollution, the view from the deck of the night sky is deep and brilliant.

Very nice, secluded location. Perfect for a work-cation. I worked from the house during the day and took the puppies on the trails after. So peaceful. But if you decide to walk the whole trail system, make sure you bring a couple of bottles of water! The second half is an intense ascent.

Beautiful property and a great getaway! Close to many breweries and vineyards for beer and wine tastings. The breweries also had great food, especially Blue Mountain Brewery, which was 5-7 minutes away. Great atmosphere, burgers, pizza and wings. Hop on I-64 and you're in Waynesboro in 10-15 mins and Charlottesville in 30 mins. Super convenient!

This is a beautiful spot. The home feels warm and inviting and is directed thoughtfully and comfortably. We felt right at home. The outdoor property is large and private. Absolutely stunning. Even thought we live just an hour and a half away, we saw birds that we’ve never seen before. Sitting out by the river was just spectacular and we were treated to bald eagles flying overhead. Highly recommend this gem.

We had a great stay! Mary Ann and her husband were friendly and quick to respond. Place was as described and had a beautiful view.

Tyler’s place was a fun, quirky and comfy place to stay. We had everything we needed! We were going to enjoy a for pit one evening, but the winds were so strong we ended up not thinking it was safe. Hopefully someone gets to use the logs we left behind!

What a wonderful get away! Our family stayed here about 2 years ago and had such a wonderful time. We couldn't wait to get back and it didn't disappoint! We had a wonderful stay and weather was great. Such a wonderful peaceful place. We always feel right at home. Craigs Creek is such a beautiful clean creek. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, canoeing and just hanging out in the water. Definitely will be back again. So thankful this host shares and blesses others by offering their place to others. For being where it is, Wi-Fi/internet works great and there is even a landline! Thanks again

Such a beautiful piece of land and a cute little house! Rhonda was very nice and helped us with everything we needed! Would recommend and stay again!

Our stay was perfect and what we expected. I had my dog with me and there was a lot of space to walk him. A nice surprise was an artist show on the grounds and displays of different art medium for browsing or buying. The cabin was clean and quiet. A great little place for a stay on our way to our final destination. Bonus was the nearby hiking trails.

Great little cottage for a quick getaway. We came up for the wine tours and this was a great landing area for us after a long day. We were very happy with the beds and amenities. Would stay here again!

Fairwood Cottage was a wonderful place to stay! A quick 10-minute drive to Charlottesville, but in a quiet rural setting. The cottage was super clean. very comfortable, with everything we needed and lots of special touches. We enjoyed sitting outside to relax at the fire bowl after a day visiting Charlottesville. We’ve visited the area several times but this is our favorite by far and we will be back! Thank you for the hospitality!
