It is nice and cozy with all the comforts of home. We stayed toasty with the wood burning stove. I loved having a fire right on the lake. We plan to return yurtly.

beautiful setting; a retreat into the woods...quiet, didn't hear or see another person the entire time. Star viewing super. Comfortable beds if not over 6 ft tall or sharing a bed *diagonal option * Recommend bringing a camping chair if you have one. First yurt experience--certainly easier than camping. I will return, especially for nordic skiing. Really cool that price includes access to trails.

Loved staying here! Very peaceful and stunning view. Had everything I needed, including firewood, kindling, and extra lighters. Note that the 0.8 miles to get there is very steep.

Second time staying here and enjoyed it even more. Peaceful and quiet location- woke up to birds singing outside the yurt. Very clean and comfortable. No wifi but no problem with that for a night. Hope to stay here again.

Susan was a great host! She responded quickly to my questions and was more than accommodating with my plans to stay in a yurt. This is the second time in my life. She greeted us when we arrived and gave an explanation about the property…. Including the history. I love that stuff. There is a barn that has WiFi and some other amenities. It’s not a long walk. The yurt is pretty much like staying in a very large tent, but nicer. It was a quick trip. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would love to go back with my family when we can. Thanks, Susan!

The “Round House” was so cutely decorated and cozy! Katie provided everything you could need. (The weather was cold-the mattress warmer was a happy surprise!!). The view was wonderful. All around great stay!!

We came here for my birthday and loved it! The hot tub was nice to hangout in at night. The trail was beautiful, the scenery all around was beautiful. 😍 Very peaceful. We also enjoyed hanging out on the deck and drinking coffee. Will definitely return and recommend!

Loved this stay! Went by myself, was originally a birthday present for someone, but ended up travelling solo for the weekend. It was such a great place to reset and get back in touch with the Lord, and it was just very relaxing and peaceful. Making the campfire and listening to the birds, going for a small hike on the nearby ice age trail, and spending the night warmed by the wood burning stove with beautiful string lights inside the yurt was a very memorable experience. Ashley was so kind and generous, very welcoming and lovely to speak with! If i’m in the area again i will certainly be coming back :)

Amazing tranquility. This place is a must stay if you need some R&R. The river, the walking pad absolutely breathtaking. The yurt itself was phenomenal. What a great set up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back. Stephanie was quick to respond to any questions we had.

The Yurt was a perfect New Years getaway for me and my wife! Hot tub was awesome, and the location was great. Would recommend any of Melissa's properties!

Beautiful place to stay for a weekend getaway. Lots of fun things to do in the area and we enjoyed listening to the wildlife nearby. Local restaurants were all very good- recommend going to the Richland family restaurant for breakfast! Loved the option of having passes to the local rec center too, it was great to get a nice shower and some time in the pool and hot tub to start off our morning.

Was exactly what we needed, an escape from the city and it was a beautiful getaway. I was worried about the yurt being too cold, but the fireplace heats up the space very quickly! They have lots of blankets and heaters and fans and the entire thing has electricity! It was awesome!

Such an awesome place to stay! I wish we could have stayed longer! Very nice space with everything you need. Secluded area but close to a lot in Springfield. Highly recommend if you like a little bit of glamping!

Jeanne and Clyde were welcoming upon our arrival. They gave us the lay of the land and a quick informative run down on how everything worked. The Yurt was beautiful and the grounds were private and peaceful. We walked the nature trail on the property which had a beautiful overlook on Huckleberry Hill. We took in a local comedy show and explored the historic downtown. We drove the scenic route at Bastrop State Park it was serene and beautiful. Austin is about a 45 minute drive which was nice. The Reserve had a nice pavilion with games, a fire pit, outside accommodations like restrooms, overlook, hot tub, kitchen area, grills, etc. The entire property is very well thought out. We enjoyed our little getaway. Thank you guys! We would love to come back.

My wife, our three cats and I had an incredibly wonderful time in the Butterfly Yurt! We were lucky enough to have the whole property to ourselves and it was the perfect peaceful weekend getaway we were hoping for. It was very easy to access the property and was behind a gate which felt safe and secure! The Yurt was the perfect size for us and the cats and was very cozy! The sink and the fridge in the barn were perfect for cooking and cleaning and there was plenty of firewood available for use! We really enjoyed walking around the property on the nature paths and got to see so much wildlife! We will definitely be booking this place again! There is a second yurt on the property, so it would be wonderful to bring some friends. Katherine was wonderful, easy to reach and very accommodating! Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a few days for me and a friend. Beautiful home and beautiful surroundings. Really enjoyed being able to fish as well, we caught over 50 bream and a couple small catfish. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay!!

Danna' yurt was an absolute dream! Close to many restaurants, hiking spots, and beautiful views, while still feeling private and secluded. The yurt was thoughtfully decorated and delightfully cozy. Will definitely be my new go-to spot anytime I'm in the Northwoods. Truly such a gem.

Place is exactly as described. I would highly recommend this Yurt for a secluded getaway. Yurt was very clean, and kitchen area was fully stocked for use with the outside grill.

This is our 4th time at the Blue Cabin and it is as wonderful each time we visit. Place is beautiful and feels like you are home away from home. Very comfortable. David and Laurie are outstanding hosts. So accommodating and making you so welcomed. Will be back many times to come.
