Everything was great and we had a wonderful time!

Our 2-week stay was wonderful. The views are wonderful, from every room. The kitchen was gorgeous and well-equipped. Loved the lay-out of the house. The owners were very welcoming and responsive. I would give this listing 10 stars if I could.

Absolutely loved this home! We had 2 toddlers and 2 babies who did great. Nothing for them to hurt themselves but still a very aesthetically pleasing home. Beds were super comfortable and bathrooms were spotless. Home is updated inside and out. Easy to find in the quiet neighborhood as well.

Great place and awesome location, close to Old Rag and White Oak Canyon. Clean and nice accommodation, with a great view. Kid friendly as well. Would definitely recommend.

Overall was a great location to anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors since the National Forest was nearby with gorgeous views! Or even enjoy all that the resort area offered! House was clean and the host was always made sure to get back to us about any questions that may have come up. Our kids loved that there was a game area as well that they could watch tv or game without having to give up the TV for the adults to watch TV.

We had a great stay in Luray. Katie and Evan were great hosts and very responsive. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was convenient for exploring Shenandoah

Immediately upon arriving to the property, we were in love with the unique landscape. It felt like a historic home and property, even though it seems to be a newer construction. We appreciated the privacy and peacefulness. The house is tucked away and surrounded by trees but also has ample space for the dog to run and play. Our favorite places were the campfire, the hammock and the side porch. It was super quiet at night. It was within 20 min to both grocery shopping and access to the Shenandoah National Park. Perfect for us. I have already recommended this property to friends. It was the perfect retreat from the busy city. There was plenty of nice cookware, a variety of kitchen appliances and a charcoal grill for home cooking. It was overall a cozy house that was clean with modern styling, and yet also felt “lived in”, so that we could relax and not worry about messing up anything. Thanks for offering this unique gem to travelers!

Firnew Cottage is surrounded by a beautiful setting. My kids loved walking to the river and playing there. We all loved having Firnew’s dog Louie visit us daily. I found picturesque views everywhere while walking the grounds and trails. We were also in a great location to drive out for hikes. Thank you to Alex, David and Trish for being such friendly hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jonathan and Tyler’s place with its many amenities. The PS4 and table football were a huge hit! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect! The communication between us and the host was phenomenal! The house was perfect for everything we needed! The hot tub was a family favorite!

Great place for a larger group!

This was our second stay at Cair Paravel Farmstead and hopefully it won't be our last. It's a magical little spot and the Dawn Treader Airstream is a tiny, whimsical place that was perfect for a two-night stay. Sure, it's tight on space, but that's part of the charm!

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

Very private location. The house was a nice cabin with spectacular views and comfortable furnishings. Very spotty Verizon cell service, but wifi worked very well for calling and internet. Would recommend for a private get-away.

Great place love it, great to have a peaceful quiet day, pool amazing, the around areas are amazing to explore!

This was the perfect place to stay for a private relaxing getaway! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were cozy and provided everything we needed and more. The view and sound of the river was absolutely amazing but there wasn’t any direct access from the cabin. It is a not a far drive from town where we found there was lots to do. All basic kitchen necessities are provided but would recommend bringing some food items ahead of time. If you’re planning a trip to the area, you will not regret staying here!

The house was absolutely beautiful! Perfect spot for a couples getaway. Culin was extremely responsive when I reached out to him as well as ahead of time gave a ton of places to see and things to do so we could better plan our trip!

The woodpecker’s chalet was a beautiful cabin with an amazing view to go to sleep to and wake up to. Natasha was so friendly and responsive and gave us wonderful recommendations. I can’t say enough how gorgeous her place is and how comfortable we were staying there. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, clean place and enjoy taking in the scenery!

The chalet was a perfect home base for our stay in the valley over a birthday weekend. Derek gave us clear instructions ahead of time, we had no trouble getting in. We were able to just crash and watch TV the first night in front of the electric fireplace. Second night we hit the hot tub which we needed after a long hike. We found good restaurants in Front Royal and Luray (Osteria Maria, Chop House Bistro) and for coffee in the morning Broad Porch. Check out was also easy, we just needed to strip the beds and take out the trash. And of course we loved being able to bring our doggo. My fiancee had previously been hosted by Derek and we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay from relaxing upstairs and in the hot tube to enjoying air hockey downstairs! Host were very responsive and gave a great list of recommendations in the area. I would 100% come back!

Thank you Cat and Isaac for welcoming us into your home, You made feeling like we were part of the family, you even shared your wonderful companions Bella and Simba with us (we already miss them and Augie sends his best). Fantastic place to stay and spend time. Sadly we only had 2 nights here due to our short stay, but definitely would love to be back again.

We loved our Farmhouse stay! Easy to get to JMU to see our daughter. Comfortable beds! Beautiful surroundings! Everything was exactly as described.

I recently stayed at a cabin rental near the Shenandoah River, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The cabin was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and providing a spacious yard for outdoor activities. Inside, the cabin was just as spacious and inviting. After a long day of hiking, exploring, and fishing, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind! The owners were incredibly responsive and kind. The gentleman went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, with thoughtful gestures that made our stay even more special. Overall, I loved my experience and will definitely be visiting again. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place!
