I respect your decision. This location was a gem that I didn’t even know existed. It was our first time up in the UP and we’ve never stayed up there and we found this place on Airbnb and it was so cute clean super comfortable had a great view of a frozen lake. We had the opportunity to go on the trails from our location which was real easy. It’s conveniently located in an area where there’s some small restaurants grocery stores in Little markets. We had a great time and will be reaching out again if we come out.

We had a wonderful stay here this last weekend. There are five cabins hidden on a beautiful lake, we got lucky and got the cabin closest to the water. The property is well-maintained and offers lots of stuff to do, like firepits, boats and a clean hot tub. The property itself is very private with a good amount of trails nearby, super quiet and quaint. I highly recommend sitting at the end of the dock in the morning and listening to the birds—there are so many! The cabin was clean when we arrived, and actually bigger than I excepted it to be from the pictures. The beds are so comfortable (normally I have a hard time sleeping in strange places but here I was out like a light!) and the hot water stays hot (yay!). The kitchen has a retro charm, there’s also a large TV and board games inside. We had a problem with the lock on our door, and both owners arrived immediately to help us. They were very kind and took care of the problem for us. Thank you again for a fantastic, recharging time!

Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

In general, I really liked everything 🥹 The hot tub is just great 😍 Everything is clean and tidy, Jacqueline was very quick and clear in responding to messages. We had a problem with a tree falling on the road and no access to the house, but George fixed it literally 5 minutes after I messaged him. The only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the condition of the kitchen, in my opinion, it needs a little repair. But in general, this did not interfere with our vacation, so we were satisfied and I can confidently recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to be alone with nature. This place is really worth a visit!😊

The place was great. We came for the purpose of snowmobiling. We were able to drive the sled right onto the lake from the property and take to the trails right off the lake. It was a very peaceful and beautiful spot, being right on the lake. It was very private and quiet. Only draw back we felt was that the cookware and silverware could have been better, but that would be the only thing I would have changed. Would definitely come back and would recommend the place to anyone.

This was the first vacation we've taken with our two little ones, and Jeff & Angie's place couldn't have been better. Angie communicated with us before the trip, gave us tons of info to help ease us getting there and checking in, and were there when we pulled in. The cabins were so family friendly that we never questioned if our kids were safe, and each night ended with all the familes around the fire pit together while all the kids played. They had tons of options to borrow to enjoy the lake right there, and the cabins were stocked so well that all we had to bring was food. The location is great too for exploring the U.P. We will be booking again next time we head up north.

Fantastic place! So comfortable and the layout of bedrooms in different parts of the cabin was perfect, as we shared the place with our two adult kids and spouses. Everything is as shown in the pictures, very clean, very well maintained and nicely stocked with everything you need. The Kayaks, Canoe and Paddle boat all were enjoyed as was a wonderful fire overlooking the beautiful lake. Angie was quick to respond with the few questions I had although everything is well listed with directions. We had a great time and will return in the future. Thank you Angie and Jeff for offering your beautiful cabin for families to enjoy. Jeff & Angie were great hosts...both stopped by to talk with us & asked us about our family & gave great suggestions on places to visit. Angie sent detailed texts with all the info we needed before we arrived and before we departed. The place had everything we needed & much more: including kayaks/SUP boards, paddle boats, fishing dock, campfire wood, charcoal grill, & much more and was so peaceful! I even bought a cute shirt from their merch selection to advertise and tell my friends about it!!

Really enjoyed the place. And the care and concern of Angie and Jeff was heartening.

This place is amazing! We loved Little Lake. I kayaked daily. Kids swam, aqua park-ed, paddle boarded, played on the floating and stationary docks. Then on the grounds, our kids ran around with new friends, rode bikes, played on the playground, hit a tether ball, and pushed pool balls in outdoor carpet-ball. We each had our own private cabins and then played outside together. Great kitchen, clean bathroom, comfy beds, good tables to eat together inside or outside, warm at night in the cabin for a cool UP night. Another guest described it as neighborhood friends playing in the street together meets summer camp.

We really appreciate you letting us stay, we couldn't have enjoyed are trip anymore. It was amazing to be able to come to a place we're we could destress for a a while while went went out and were little explorers. The cottage was beautiful and we would love to stay here again. We loved it so much we thought about moving up there in the future.

My family had a very fulfilling stay in the snowy north. The cabin was a re purposed hunting style cabin wonderfully comfortable for our group of nine gathered for all our February birthdays. My only advice is snow plowing is at a minimum so take your awd in the winter as we did! As a former resort cabin cleaner, I encourage you to follow all of Angie’s suggestions before you leave. Remember her crew is often working on Sunday!

Our family had a wonderful short stay in this beautiful cottage. It had the vibe of a modern home, but was very cozy. We felt right at home. The beach was just a short walk away, and although it was a bit cold to spend much time down there, this would be a PERFECT place for a summer getaway. Casandra was very responsive and provided clear instructions. We definitely recommend this spot!

The communication to the host was above & beyond great, very responsive to any questions we had, extremely detailed directions, suggestions of places to go, etc. The home was super clean and comfortable, it was very peaceful. Even in the midst of a winter storm we felt the driveway/private road, and county roads were all well plowed/maintained. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to any of our family or friends looking for a place to stay.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

Beautiful and relaxing cabin within a 30 minute drive from Marquette and Northern Michigan University.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Funky Beach House! The location was perfect - close enough to Marquette for us to head in for groceries and restaurants, but still felt secluded and private. The house itself was cozy and warm, friendly and comfortable. The decorations were so fun and interesting, and all of the furniture and amenities were just what we needed and exactly as described. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets and a barrage of different pillows to choose from! The view was beautiful, looking right out on to Lake Superior. There was a really nice deck where we were able to watch the sunset. This area of the beach was all sand, and I'm sure during warmer weather we would have loved to sit on the beach and catch some sun. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we would have needed to cook, and the bathroom had everything we needed, including extra towels. Pat was in touch with us throughout our stay. We will certainly be back!
