Mae Kha : locations de vacances

Bougain Villas are in a large farmland area with animals grazing in fields adjacent. They overlook Chiang Dao mountain (when the mist allows 🙂), and another resort called Mountain View, which occasionally had music, though didn’t go on late. We were upstairs in No.5, and the room was very clean, tidy and comfortable - with free coffee pods, bottled water and noodle pots… a nice touch. We had a good size fridge, kettle, Nespresso style coffee m/c, dehumidifier, and mosquito nets around the bed - excellent. Any time we had issues, Aude was instantly available which made the stay even better - for instance, we had a bad ingress of ants nesting in the bathroom one night (fact of life in jungle), and she was round in an instant dealing with it. Externally, the shrubs and vines could probably do with a trim back (some of that was happening), as the villas are quite enveloped nowadays - but that’s only slight drawback we could see. Overall, a lovely place, well worth the money… thanks.

We had a fabulous 2 day stay here, and definitely could have stayed longer! The hosts were flexible with check in times and the house was extremely clean. Everything is identical to the photos and the views are even better.

Tammy really went out of her way to make us feel like home in Chiang Dao. By the time we booked, she gave very detailed advice on where to tour for Chiang Dao and in Chiang Mai. She also helped us find the best elephant volunteer program to participate in! By the time we arrived, she connected us with the driver Kim, and also helped us call in massage lady service. The massage took place in the mid of a rice field, which was one of the best experience. Kim was also super nice to pick up us from the airport and send to elephant farm. The whole trip would be so different without Tammy and Kim!

The views of the mountains on both sides of the horizon, the sounds of birds in the morning, enjoying the stars at night by the campfire, Yidan's farm has everything you need to feel at peace. Yes, it can get really hot during the day but there is a fan inside the room and the evenings are so cool that you don't need it then. I had the best sleep here and woke up every morning to see the sun rising beyond the mountains. I especially want to appreciate all the volunteers who made my stay very comfortable and were ready to help me with everything. Shoutout to Summer's chinese style steamed fish! 😋 I will definitely come back.

Chayadol Resort is a quiet, peaceful, haven away from the bustle of downtown Chiang Rai. A Grab into town was around 70THB. Our room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking greenery. The staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Areeya (Tonor) who made our stay perfect. If you want serenity, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended.

A clean and nice place to stay in Chiang Rai. It's pretty simple, but for the price, I think it's good enough. Very calm area without outside noise, but you can still reach the city center, bus station, or markets by walking. The free bicycles are a big plus, they make getting around much faster. Traffic isn’t too heavy, so it’s easy to ride, and you can park the bike anywhere and continue on foot if you like. I found that really helpful. Anusit is a great host, he answered any questions very quickly. I had an internet issue during my stay, and he fixed it within just a few minutes. In general, the internet is fast and works well. On the downside: the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. I also wasn’t very comfortable with the power outlets, my charger didn’t fit securely. There’s not a lot of light inside either, so it can feel a little dark, but that may depend on personal preference. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend it! I even extended my stay twice :)

We loved everything about our stay in the peaceful treehouse. We were upgraded on arrival to the private treehouse which was amazing and so kind of them. We had a private guide (Mr Art) for the whole trip who was amazing, he really looked after us and couldn’t do enough for us. He took us on a jungle trek and to the temples, hot springs etc. We mentioned we wanted to try a specific Northern curry to him and the kitchen made it for us on the final night! Everything felt so special. Just be mindful you are in the middle of the jungle so bugs are to be expected, there were quite a few ants in our accommodation so if you don’t like that kind of thing then maybe this isn’t the stay for you! Facilities are also quite basic but it’s a wonderful back to nature experience. We also had a Thai massage in the evening which was so amazing whilst listening to the sounds of the jungle.
